To think he made this worse than Charlotte.. yikes. The pacing and story is atrocious.
I chuckled at the "I love you" part. Like hey, I haven't expressed or shown any feelings towards you, but here's this corny dramatic line for you to swallow hook, line, and sinker. Meanwhile MC's actual love interest (an emotionally dead Angel clone) has been reduced to a meat shield. |

this anime was much more fun and less crazy than charlotte or any other maeda show so far, he this time really hold himself great to not make again another "supernatural serie" a much more on the ground one so far. Quote:
really a very good show so far for me nothing really big to complain other than some "little stuffs like her father here and there but overal i do feel which maeda so far made a really big effort to not go crazy and screw everything with too much supernatural and crazyness stuffs.

Pretty much the entire episode was completely pointless. He ended up spilling everything and helping Yota reunite with Hina, I don't see why he couldn't have done it on day one. Oh, yeah, his "mom" told him not to say anything unless Yota figured out his identity... which was meant to achieve what exactly? Funniest part is that it was Izanami who figured it out.

Yea, it all seemed incredibly pointless. It would make more sense if Accelerator, err, Suzuki had come to him before she was operated on then it could be viewed like CEO lady felt bad about what she had to do and sent him there. The admonition about making him figure it out instead of telling him could then be considered her way to not feel like she backstabbed the higher ups, but given the time that passed before Suzuki shown up one has to assume Sato had the procedure by then.
Also found it amusing that he thinks simply helping Narukami locate Sato is "atoning". GTFO, atoning would have been to correct this misjudgment before they lobotomized her. Part of me hopes the last two eps is Narukami going all Sung Jin-woo on everyone involved heh. |

The story hasn't focused enough on the characters for me to care about the stupid white-haired hacker, Hina, or the stupid protagonist whose reciting these stupid Maeda poems to the audience.
Also, you literally did NOTHING. And you're losing your confidence because...?

The last 2 episodes had so many things in it that were so cringe-worthy, but there were 2 things that bugged the heck out of me. First off, the "I love you" confession that come out of nowhere. Secondly, how Yota kept screaming when he was repeatedly told not to when he met Hina in the facility. But yeah, the story is off the rails now.

Is it normal that I'm rooting against the main character? His behavior with Hina is super cringey, he only understood that he shouldn't yell at her near the end of the episode.
The main issue though, is that Hina is being taken care off extremely well in that facility, and I can't imagine her being happier with Yota, a person she has no memory of and she has only known for some 30 odd days. Shiba has already spent a lot more time with her (4 months) and has formed a close bond with her. The show would have been better if it had told the story of Hina's dad. A father finding himself unable to bond with his disabled daughter and considering abandoning her for both of their sake would have made for more compelling drama.

I think the criticism brought up by others is warranted here, as the show really seems to be really clashing the 'normie' Youta with the 'real' Hina now, but that's not really what the show was about until these last 3 episodes. Pretty reminiscent of Charlotte with the sudden last act turn in narrative. The elements were always there, such as the super hacker kid, but as a part of the show until now it just felt like a really random separate anime every time his scenes were on.
I think something else the show brings up is what a 'person' really is. Hina with the CPU was more capable, but also had more complex emotions. So what is a person really? The higher thought processes allowed by the CPU is something really interesting to think about from an ethics standpoint.
