The chapter starts with a brief flashback of AFO and the doctor analyzing the Hassaikai's anti-quirk bullets. It seems that the doc confirms that Eri's Rewind is further confirmation of the "quirk singularity" theory, and extracted its effects from the bullet.... which was what AFO Prime used on himself in the present. Tokoyami and Hawks realize that Eri's quirk was being used and try to regroup with the other heroes, but he's too late: AFO already made his move, as he steals one hero's clothes, and the quirk of another! Using Rewind on himself is a last resort since his body will eventually be erased into nothing, but he's fine with this. After all, he's already passed the baton to Shigaraki to continue his will. All the original has to do is exterminate as many heroes as possible....!!!
We then cut to the USA, at Washington D.C. General
Not-Ackbar Aghpar meets with the president, telling him they need to destroy Shigaraki as soon as possible. However, the prez is hesitant to follow through, as his quirk researchers have already determined that the villain is invincible. And if that weren't enough, supporters of AFO are already rioting across America! Even worse, the president predicts that the leaders of all first-world countries will fight over who submits to Shigaraki first! Aghpar's not down with the president giving up, but the commander-in-chief says there's nothing else they can do, since their greatest force, Star and Stripe, sacrificed herself. The general argues back that Shigaraki can't be allowed to exist in their future, and takes out a picture of a younger Star with All Might. He says she sacrificed herself for the sake of future generations, and it's the job of the adults to support them....
Back to UA, the hero Edge Shot says it's too soon to give up on Bakugou. He has experience entering inside of people's bodies, so he begins to insert himself inside of the boy. While doing so, he tells Mirko to keep ShigAFO busy, even if it kills her! He won't allow a stopped heart to end the young hero's life, so he'll make up for the damaged parts. Unfortunately, Best Jeanist is aware of how risky this stunt is: Once Edge Shot heals Bakugou, he'll never be able to return! However, the hero is fine with this, and says he'll leave the rest to Jeanist, who was his class rep when they were in school. Edge Shot then prepares his ultimate ninjutsu, which will make himself into Bakugou's new heart....!!!!!!
