Does Tristan hate his father, or do they just have a really complicated relationship? Or maybe both? I just hope he doesn't seriously have a mother complex and isn't just jealous of his father.

I wonder if Meliodas will get hit by Arthur's attack or if he'll get out of this somehow.

His demon side is probably corrupting him. When he warned Percival that he can't control himself in that state and he should stay back, it could mean his personality is also affected and even his allies may irritate him if they try to help or butt in. Although I can't deny that there is probably some daddy issues in the mix. That and/or overconfidence.

This better be an Arthur dummy. The tides are going to turn on Lancelot anyways, but he still landed hits and caused damage to the supposed, overpowered main antagonist. And he did that without breaking a sweat. No, just no.

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	It's that time: Spoiler for 76: Needless to say, Tristan freaking WRECKS Melagaland, and a pretty darn brutal fashion, at that. During the battle, we see Meliodas and Elizabeth have a brief chat. Looks like they're gearing up for action, themselves..... Back outside, a voice congratulates Tristan for defeating the demon. Then, all of the rubble suddenly gathers to the sky, forming what looks like a literal stairway to heaven! The new arrival also tells Gawain (who's awake now) that he's not happy to see her there, and that his brother-in-law is worried about her. We soon see the voice's owner descending the staircase: Images Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload? Percy, upon realizing who the new arrival is, instantly flies into a rage and charges at him! However, Arthur merely smacks the boy out of the way. It looks like he's more interested in dealing with Tristan, who's more than willing to oblige the King of Chaos....!!!! Meliodas should put up a fight, but I expect him to sacrifice himself to seal Arthur away temporarily to give time for the Four Knights to grow strong enough. Unless Arthur's got some kind of weakness like needing to stay in his Kingdom to be able to use his full power. __________________

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	In the latest chapter: Spoiler for 77: Tristan charges at Arthur! However, similar to Percy last chapter, he gets knocked back by the king. Meanwhile, Anne is busy trying to evacuate the town when suddenly, Arthur projects his voice into everyone's minds! He introduces himself to the people of Liones, saying he's the king of the formerly ruined Camelot. He then proceeds to explain that in both the holy wars, the human race had to make sacrifices for the sake of other races. Sure, Liones may be peaceful now, but this will only be temporary, as history is sure to repeat itself. When the townsfolk ask him what his point is, he says that surely many of them lost loved ones during the war, and are filled with regrets. Well, what if they could meet those lost loved ones again? It's possible to do so in his eternal kingdom of Camelot, where nobody has to in fear, sorrow, or suffering. During this part of the speech, images of those departed souls appear in front of their respective loved ones.... including Percival's grandfather, Varghese. Arthur then goes on to say that the Seven Deadly Sins who once saved Liones are a motley crew of different races, and will inevitably betray them someday.... ....And it's here that Tristan has heard enough, as he fires a ball of dark energy at Arthur! He clearly saw the speech as nothing but deception on the king's part. Arthur, who blocked the blast, returns fire at the prince.... but his strike gets Full Countered! Yes, appearing in front of his son is none other than Meliodas! He tells Arthur that the Seven Deadly Sins will be coming for him, to set him back on the right path....!!!! marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	Here we go: Spoiler for 78: Arthur tells Mel that his eyes are already wide open.... to the idea of humans and other races coexisting peacefully being naught but a pipe dream. Thus, he will return the world to humanity's hands! Seeing the time for talk is over, Mel immediately springs into action! So fierce is the clash between both kings, that their power destroys the distant mountain ranges! As Dreyfus orders everyone to evacuate, Tristan decides to join the fray, as well.... which proves to be his undoing. He's still no match for Arthur, and nearly gets his head sliced off, were his father not there to save him! Speaking of Mel, he goes into Assault Mode, and fires off some dark energy at Arthur! As the enemy gets knocked away (but still pretty much unharmed), Tristan starts getting further out of control due to his demon powers, and starts arguing with his father! As Mel tries to calm his son, Arthur starts talking again. If I'm not mistaken, he basically tells Mel that a king should be swift and decisive in his actions, and shouldn't let his emotions get the better of him.... such as his concern for his son (again, not very sure about this). The chapter then ends with Arthur leaping in for the kill, as Mel shields an agonized Tristan from the impending strike....!!!! Images Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	In the latest chapter: Spoiler for 79: As Arthur's sword swings down upon Mel and Tristan, we briefly cut to Liones castle, where we see Elizabeth speaking with the knight Slader and who seems to be a new character, a magician girl named Thetis (if she IS a preexisting character, then I totally forgot when we last saw or heard from her.... sorry, lol). Back to the battlefield, we see that the blade of Arthur's weapon is suddenly broken! However, the heroes aren't out of the woods yet, as Tristan starts getting out of control again! But shortly after his rampage starts, he's suddenly hit with a familiar attack.... Shining Road. Yes, the one who knocked the prince back to his senses is none other than Lancelot! The new arrival wastes no time getting into action, either: Seemingly without touching him, Lancelot causes Arthur to bleed from his nose! In fact, he has no trouble knocking the king around a bit, even taking a couple of his teeth! Arthur then gets more serious, unleashing some of his Chaos powers with his sword (which isn't Excalibur BTW, but a different one called Carnwennan), but Lance pretty much gives zero crap about this, as the chapter ends with him casually dodging the attack and landing on top of Arthur himself....!!!! Images Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload? ....Yeah, something's definitely up, here. There's no way Lancelot should be able to kick Arthur's ass so easily at this point. Either Arthur's holding himself back big time, or maybe he sent a weaker clone of himself to Liones or something. Either way, I don't expect this one-sided beating to last. We're gonna have to wait a bit before we can catch the rest of the fight though, because.... NO CHAPTER NEXT WEEK!

Whether this Arthur is the real deal or not, Meliodas couldn't put a scratch on him even after going all out, while Lancelot is casually beating the crap out of him. __________________

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	We're back from the break: Spoiler for 80: As everyone reels in shock, Tristan tells Percy that he and Lancelot were equal in strength six years ago.... but then Lance suddenly disappeared for three years. When he came back, he would never talk about what happened during his absence, but his current strength may very well be equal to that of the Seven Deadly Sins! Back to the fight, Arthur says that Lancelot is indeed talented and strong.... but he's still a far cry from Meliodas' level. Suddenly, Arthur lands a surprise attack on Lance! As he gets knocked into the air, Mel steps back into the fray! As he does, we see what became of Arthur's right arm.... basically, he pulled an Akira, as tumor-like growths have replaced it.... in the form of Chaos monsters! Lancelot comes back and is ready to strike back at his foe, but suddenly, the battle is interrupted by the appearance of a gigantic flying ship! It's boarded by Arthur's army of Chaos Knights, Ironside being among them. Speaking of Percy's father, he reports to his king that they detect hostile intent directed at them from three locations: Dalflare, Benwick, and the Fairy King's forest..... the respective locations of Gowther, Ban, and King and Diane of the Seven Deadly Sins, respectively. At this point, Arthur decides to make his exit.... but Lance isn't very willing to let him go, as he impales the Chaos lord with his arm! However, Arthur seems to be unhurt as he begins to vanish. He says he collected some valuable info here, and departs with a warning for the Four Knights of the Apocalypse: In due time, they and every last one of their comrades shall face total extermination.....!!!! Well, if Arthur confirmed that Lance was still weaker than Mel, then maybe the latter was himself holding back because he was trying to protect Tristan and the town....?
