Looking back to my post here after the first episode...
I continue to be amazed by the way this show makes me nostalgic for my middle-school wrestling days. Nothing else ever has in 45 years. Michi may be all about the ippons, but after all this time, my two most memorable matches were both decided on points, one I won and the other I lost but was thrilled just not to have gotten pinned. And after one episode I was a little concerned about a yuri love-triangle. Now it's looking more like Michi and her yuri harem. Now we just need to find out who the fifth girl in the OP and ED sequences is. |

But... But Michi said she is into boys...
Looks like fifth girl will serve as a teams manager instead of another fighter. But we'll see.

Is someone able to explain how the tournament format works? I thought it was #1 vs #1, #2 vs #2, etc., but that doesn't work when the teams don't have the same number of members and I didn't get why they were talking about one member taking on the entire opposing team.

I felt a bit bad for the last team. They should have won at least once but Micchii defeated all 3 of them.
But the series is still a pretty lighthearted spocon and I like it. The only complaint is that production could have been better (buthe studio is still pretty new after all).

But I think what you meant was sports comedy and not the actual hentai "Spocon!" .

I am not even aware what you are talking about. It is just that in Russian(and other Eastern slavic languages including Ukrainian) we normally call classic sports anime "спокон". For some reason I tought the same term can be used in English.

Holy moly, the opponent who beat Michi and Sanae, I thought for a moment she'd be unbeatable. Without Himeno they'd have been toast, but at least Sanae wore Megu down the best she could. Given that Megu had her ankle bandaged as well, she was doing her best too.
I mean, I know precisely nothing about Judo but I really like this show as you really feel the effort that the characters are putting into their sport. |

I'm glad hime got her last ippon like that, it was great.
you can tell from the preview they are not going to win but I'm sure micchi and towa will gain their respect opening the golden era title in the next chapter. |

The official series Twitter account says there are two episodes left after today, so 13 total.
Also, for those wanting to keep track, today's episode covers the end of Volume 5 and the beginning of Volume 6 in the manga. There are 23 volumes in all. |
