I read a post saying that it could be Lina or a high rank spirit of fire. I doubt it's Lina but I think she being a high rank spirit could be possible. Or it could be just a new character we just don't know anything about

The high level spirits should have humanoid form so maybe the human form of the high level fire Spirit sealed in takatrash weapon.

Looks like she is touching Takahisa's back so the chances of her being a high rank spirit seems to be very high

If the new girl is a humanoid spirit she might also a familiar of the fire's great spirit, maybe she finally caught somehow a whiff of her master's location and then gets between him and Rio.

Damn, volume isn't looking good, that cover suggest not only a heavy takatrash involvement but also a posible whole new arc about him as the antagonist, i was hoping takatrash would be disposed in this vol, i can't stand the guy, he is such a loser, let the novel die please.

There's no redemption for Takatrash, maybe you didn't read volume 23 yet but let me tell you that book was mostly for showing he is beyond salvation.

Spoiler for 23 ending:

At the end of vol 23 Takahisa killed someone and it was said he was near the brothel district and that in the place he killed the man there was a girl. Based on what she says in the synopsis, it seems that Takahisa killed the man to save her.

And in the preview of vol 24 it seems that there is people looking for a migrant child to kill so I guess it will be this girl and Takahisa's part in this vol will be about protecting the girl based on how they are placed in the cover
