you can also try the latest xvid codec http://www.xvid.org/
but most likely it's ffdshow thats causing the prob as Thelastguardian brought up. 9 times out of 10 in my exp with people having playback issues its due to not having ffdshow. If you require any codecs I can send them to you via irc. Good luck! |

Through much trial and error, tested upon countless newbies (who don't know how to read the "sticky" important threads) we have found a simple and quick solution that will fix at least 98% of all problems that we see. I expect it will work on your problem as well.
Uninstall all your codecs. Trust me. All of them: Uninstall DivX. Uninstall XviD. Uninstall ffdshow. Especially uninstall any Codec packs, They are Evil! Download and install ffdshow. You'll find it listed as [Level 1] on the Media Configuration Guide.

On behalf of all the newbies who didnt read the sticky threads, I thank you.
I was trying to watch Popotan yesterday and it was a mess of warping, bleeding colors and some blockiness. I will do what you suggest when I get home from work today. |
