Non-Main characters that should be main...
Ever watched an anime series and see a side-character or supporting character that's far more interesting than the main character? Make you wish the series was about him/her? Or even a character so cool you'd like to give them their own spin-off series...
List them here... Legato Blusummers (Trigun) - I would pay good money to see an entire series revolving around his origin and life...Such a cold and interesting character who died for such a boring master...Knives wound up being a joke in comparison.... Sanosuke (Kenshin TV) - Really disgraced after the Shishio arc, being reduced into a hapless sidekick (Carrying a woman on his back for an entire arc) when early on in the series he appeared to be true rival of Kenshin's....I would have liked see him on his own journey as he was more interesting than Kenshin in the second half of this series... Akira (School Rumble) - She could definatley carry her own spin-off show because of all the wacky and serious adventures she's been shown to engage in...She lives a double life that doesn't get enuff attention on her character heavy show...A show just about her undercover misions would be cool... Mayumi and Itsuki (Shuffle) - The only funny characters in that series...A spin-off with them as the main attraction would be better for me...Their lova//hate relationship would make for a very good comedy based high school series... Togusa (GITS-Stand Alone Complex) - Being one of the only normal humans in Section 9 is tuff...We've seen little glimpses and episodes inwhich he is the star and his drive and motivations are unquestioned...A hard-nose cop show with him as the main character would be nice...He's tries hard to be a good family man, but gets caught up in his investigative obsessions...His human nature sometimes gives him insights that even Motoko misses out on...I'd love to see a show from his perspective... OK guys, now time for you to try...I'll probably list more later...

I think somebody has said that TYPE-MOON should do a version of F/SN, told from Rin's POV, with the same scenarios... for great profit.

Hayate. She already has her entire protagonist cast lined up, serious...
I also always had this weird fancy for either a 'bounty hunter adventure' with Zangulus and Vrumugun or a 'white mage adventure' with Mirgazia/Memphis/Amelia/Sylphiel for Slayers.

Masaki Andou (Super Robot Taisen Orginal Generation: The Animation) - He's the first orginal character before Ryusei Date, Kusuha Mizuha and Kyosuke Nanbu. For some reason he is interesting.

Karura & Touka (Utawarerumono) - A pair of wanderers fighting against evil and oppression, struggling for justice and lots of sake. They already laid out the groundwork for this one in the last episode of the series.
Midoriba Itsuki & Mayumi Thyme (Shuffle!) - This would be a great matchup for a school comedy series. My fear, however, would be that they would wind up turning Mayumi from genki-girl with a temper into yet another tsundere. Tsuruya-san (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu) - Nothing special required, just turn her loose and watch what happens... nyoro~n. Hagino Kana & Fujinami Tomoko (Canvas 2) - After graduation, Kana and Tomoko are trying to adjust to their new lives as the writer and the creative consultant for a hit occult-romance television series. |

Naruto's Rock Lee would be a great character to have his own spin-off...probably like a "wandering fighter" who people underestimate because of his "lameness" but ultimately get their butts kicked in the end!
