I just realized something. Reito's eyes aren't yellow. In the scenes where Mikoto is remembering her brother (specifically episode 7) he has yellow eyes. Reito has black/grey eyes. At first I thought it was because of the Obsidian Lord, but even after that his eyes are grey.

Well that's why we must have a season 2 of Mai-Hime or prequel.

I watched a little more, and when Reito is fully Obsidian Lord, his eyes are yellow. That doesn't really explain why his eyes were yellow in the past, though...

I guess that OL wasn't that powerful of controlling (Reito) Ani-ue or that the animators didn't do good enough on making Reito eyes or something else.

yeah at 1st his eyes was like grey
but then when he gain back his memories and OL fully awaken he eyes turn to yellow

Well it could be two things
1. Animation mistake
2. There's something sunrise has forgotten to tell us, which i agree with highman where a sequel or a prequel would be all the more better. ^_^

Agreed!! Maybe there was something Sunrise forgot to tell us though I think it was probably a mistake they made. If it wasn't a mistake it would be great to have special about it. Mikoto would appear too so I would be more than happy.

But probably there is a theory for that... but I just can't seem to get it... Reito's eyes should be yellow like Mikoto's so we could say that he only had grey eyes when he didn't remember his past but when he got to his normal self after the Festival he had grey eyes again... Ye, something is missing...
