lol, ep 9 isn't out yet, and you're already discussing it?
Talk about fast... Quote:
But, yeah, I'm itching to find out what happened back then.

I'm not backing away from my point yet, 'saving blow' though expectable, is overdone. Nanoha getting beaten while Vita can't do anything about it is more dramatic. |

My guess on why Nanoha said this. They faced multiple enemy so they fight back to back. By being taken down, Nanoha failed her duty and that might endanger Vita. This is why Nanoha apologized IMO. Quote:
I think Nanoha was just overconfident. She knew she was somehow unwell but chose pretend normal. This caused undesearable outcome.

This is probably one of the most anticipated eps since the semi disapointment (for some anyway, not me^_^) of ep 7, course had we known what was going to hap in 8 we'd have been excited for that ep to^^.
What I'm more interested in knowing (well finding out what the incident was about is cool) is what will tea do? Will she stay, will she leave? Will she still be emo or will she just be pissed at Nanoha? And what about poor Subaru? So much to look forward to^^

So it was recklessness huh? And the statements of not being able to stand/walk/fly again were quite unnerving. In any case, they've finally resolved both the mystery of the paranoia over Nanoha (partially at least) and Teana's problem. Quite good results, I must say.

... overload... Which would really teach Nanoha to tone down on using high-power buster spells, and not to mention the old adage never to assume you're safe on the return trip...
I am intrigued by the statement that they don't want to go out all out to hide their trump cards, meaning at least they have some idea that Scaglietti IS watching...

Typical maybe but it does make sense for everything. First Nanoha got careless and over did it and she nearly paid for it greatly. Up to this point S1 --> S2 she was nearly invincabley this incident was a big slap in the face to say "your still human" Tea was reckless (maybe not in the same way as Nanoha) but she almost cost her best friends health/live. Same deal in the mock battle. She was going way to hard and using skills she hadn't mastered yet and she could have gotten really hurt if it was for real and not a mock fight.
Everything be it slightly different, in the end the results could have been the same, so Nanoha was in the right for the punishment be it harsh or not.

If you look at thisguy's edit on his synopsis... Nanoha's attack was so precise that it left no permanent on Teana. This Nanoha never went "overboard".

If Nanoha can Starlight Breaker Fate without even a scratch on the target whe she was 9, I don't see why she'd have that much difficulty doing the same with a lesser attack 10 years later. It is established that magical damage is quite different from physical damage.

Magic-damage/Physical-damage setting has been around since previous series, and you call it plot device NOW? It's almost 3 a.m here so I'll leave it to you guys to think about it... Anyway, it's reminded that the synopsis is based on my memory from one-shot airing so there MUST BE more than what I posted in the episode, and my memory is always with bunch of error. At least watch the show, RAW if necessary. Until then, you never even have a general idea. |
