Well, if you're talking about combat then getting out the inappropriate persona can happen... but under very specific circumstances though (like for example an extreme mindfuck), since the call on who gets to represent Julie can only be made by Julie herself. So if she gets confused...

@Keroko & ark: From memory(which was 3 months ago, and I don't have the track with me right now), I'd tend towards ark's side. In my interpretation the 8%(or whatever number) loss was regarding raw power output of her linker core. However she manipulates the power to make up for with efficiency, what's lost is lost.

Hmm viewing from that analogy it does make sense.

The main problem is that Nanoha already screwed up her core once with the Starlight Breaker overload, and she recovered from it eventually.

Yes, but Linker Core output is flexible, and hence it should be retainable. It won't be easy, for someone like Nanoha, 8% is a lot of power lost, but it should be possible.

The Forwards, along with Fate,Maren, Yui, Koji, Rein (sitting on Koji's shoulder) and Treize arrived there, Vice was already waiting for them.
Vice turned around and saw the group walk towards him, "Oh, right on time. The preparations were just finished, we're ready to take off at any time." He smirked.
"Thank you." Fate replied.
"Alto-san, you're coming too?" Caro asked.
Alto nodded, "I'll be going as the Co-Pilot" She smirked.

"Shall we board then?" Fate turned to the group behind her.
"Yes." They replied.

The group entered the helicopter, the hatch closed and the propellers began to spin faster.

"Permission to take off granted, have a safe journey." Lucino said via transmission.
"Roger." Vice replied, "Well, let's get going!" and took off.

[Skies above Mid-Childa Urban Area - Helicopter]
[13:03 MST]

En route to the Maritime Quarantine Facility, the group chatted with each other.
"Oh, that's right, Fate-senpai...about my request." Koji asked her.
"Ah, yes...It took a while, but I got permission for the three of us."
"Eh?" Yui looked puzzled, "What request?"
"Rein wants to know too ~desu" She said.
Koji turned to them, "I asked Fate-senpai to get a permission for us to go to the prison where Scaglietti is kept, and Maren is coming with us.
"EHH???" Yui and Rein shouted, the Forwards also looked surprised.

"Koji-san why are you going there?" Erio asked.
"Does it concern Trei-chan?" Caro said worried.
"Y-yeah...it's sort of about Treize...I just have some questions to ask...that's all..." He said that, but it was a lie, there was another reason to want to talk with Scaglietti, but he just couldn't say it...
"So, after we pay a visit to everyone at the Facility, me, Maren and Koji will head there." Fate looked at the Forwards.
"Yes." The Forwards replied.

"It's not fair ~desu. Koji-sama why didn't you ask for a permission for Rein too?" She complained.
"Puu~ And me too, Onii-chan!" Yui added.
"W-well..." Koji sweatdropped. (I can't say they're not needed, they'll get upset about it...)
"You'll be going along with Maren-san, just the two of you! That's not allowed! ~desu!" Rein continued.
"But...Fate-senpai is coming too..." He pointed it out.
"That's right, there's nothing to worry about." Fate replied.

Yui pouted, while poking Maren's shoulder, "Maren-chan, you're so lucky, you get to be all alone with Onii-chan~"
"E-eh?" Maren blinked, not quite getting it. "What do you mean?"
"A-ano..." Fate asked for attention.
"Come on, Maren-chan, you know what I'm talking about.." She kept poking her.
(...Ignoring me?) Fate's eye twitched.

The Forwards, and Treize, watched as Yui and Rein complained about Koji and Maren going "alone"...
"L-like I said...Fate-senpai is-"
"Stay out of this!" Rein and Yui said.
"But..." He gave up and sighed, as he turned to Fate, "I'm sorry, Fate-eep...!" he froze.

"I mentioned it already, I'm accompanying Koji-sama because he asked me to." Maren tried to explain.
"Is that so?" Rein raised an eyebrow, "I'm sure you're up to something, and use this chance to-"
"Excuse me..." Fate called them.
"Fate-san right now we're having a-" Rein and Yui froze as they saw Fate's expression.
"I'll be going as well, so no need to worry, okay?" She said.
"Y-yes ma'am..." They shrunk.

The Forwards too, felt a chill down their spines...
(Fate-san...scary...) Erio said to himself.
(Fate-san is scary...but...so cool!) Caro commented.
As for Treize, she just learned how scary Fate can be when ignored.

Having passed through a quick inspection, everyone was allowed to pass, and headed to the where the captured Numbers were.
As they entered, they saw Wendi holding onto Nove, possibly teasing her about something.
"I said stop!" Nove tried to pull Wendi off her.
Then, Wendi noticed, "Oh, we have guests."
"Huh?" Nove looked towards the door.

Erio and Caro fastened their pace and stopped in front of Wendi, "Ano..." Caro looked at Wendi.
"Yes ~su?" She looked back at Caro.
"Could you tell us where Lu-chan is?" Caro asked.
"Came to see Lu-ojousama?" She smiled.
"Yes." They replied together.
"Well, she's in her usual spot, over there ~su" She turned to a corner of the large room, where Lutecia was with Agito, looking out the window.
"Thank you." Erio and Caro bowed.
"Fate-san, let's go! We'll introduce you to Lu-chan." Caro smiled as she turned to Fate.
Fate smiled back, "Okay." and they headed toward Lutecia.
"Rein is going too ~desu." She flew off Koji's shoulder and followed Fate.

The moment Nove saw Subaru, she looked away, folding her arms. "Hmph..."
Subaru sweatdropped and tittered.
"And the rest of you? ~su" Wendi asked.
"Ah, we just came along." Teana replied, waving her hand.
Koji stepped forward, "Where is Cinque-san?" He asked.
That question caught Nove's attention.
"Oh?" Wendi said a bit surprised. "Hmm..." She looked at him closer, "Blue hair, green eyes, wearing a red bandana...Ah, you must tbe the guy who took Cinque-nee's hear-" But she was quickly intercepted by Nove.
"Stop saying nonsense!" Nove shouted as she covered Wendi's mouth. She looked at Koji, "...What do you want with Cinque-nee?" She asked in an aggressive tone.
"Well...I came to see how Cinque-san is doing..." He sweatdropped.
"Hmm..." Nove stared, suspicious of him.

Maren, intervened, "Could you please indicate us to Cinque-san's location? We have someone who wants to see her."
She moved out of the way, revealing Treize.
"Ah..." The moment Wendi and Nove saw her, they knew she was a Sentoukijin, "She's..."
"Go ahead, introduce yourself." Koji said.
Looking at Koji, Treize nodded, took a couple of steps and bowed politely, "...Treize...yoroshiku." And raised her head.
"Ooh! Ain't she cute? ~su" Wendi huggled her.
"So...she's the secret 'Number 13' that Sein and Cinque-nee were talking about..." Nove looked at her.
While still being huggled by Wendi, Treize looked up at Nove, and blinked.
"W-what are you looking at?" Nove asked.
Treize blinked again, "Onee-san?"
"Geh?" Nove stepped back, blushing, then looking away. "D-don't call me that...I hardly know you..."
"Oh! Call me 'Onee-san' too ~su." Wendi asked with a smile.
Treize looked at Wendi and blinked, "...Onee-san."
"Ah~ It's so much cuter than Deed's way to adress me ~su." She huggled Treize again.

Yui approached them, and put herself in Treize's level, "Isn't great that you have such nice sisters?" She asked her.
"...un." Treize nodded.

Meanwhile...
"Lu-chan~" Caro said as she walked toward Lutecia.
Lutecia and Agito turned around, "Oh, it's those two from the other time..." Agito said as she saw Caro and Erio.
But along with them, was Rein, and Agito scowled at her presence...
"What are you doing here?" Agito folded her arms.
"Is there a problem with Rein being here?" Rein asked.
"'An Unison Device has to be by its master's side at all times.'" She said proudly. "And I don't think I see your master anywhere?" She looked around. (Where's Signum?) Agito said to herself.
"Well..." She blushed, "He's not my master, but I wouldn't mind at all if he was." She glanced at Koji, who was still taking with the others.
(This one's pretty messed up...) Agito sweatdropped.

Back to Lutecia, Caro and Erio...
"So, how are you doing?" Caro asked.
"Fine. The tests' results show no problems with me."
"That's good to hear." Erio said.
"Oh, that's right, we heard that you mother was taken to a hospital." Caro remembered.
Lutecia nodded, "The doctors say that even without a Relic she'll eventually wake up if treated properly."
"That's good news." Fate stepped closer.
"Fate-san." Erio turned around.

Lutecia looked at the woman in front of her, admiring her.
"Fate-san is the one who save your mother." Caro said.
Fate put herself at Lutecia's height, "Hi, you're Lutecia, right?"
Lutecia nodded, "Un..." She hesitated, but then spoke, "Th-thank you for saving my mother."
Fate smiled at her, "I'm glad for you, soon you'll be reunited with your mother, and then you'll live a happy life with her."

She looked at Erio and Caro, who smiled at her...This is the person they were talking about when they fought her that day.
The one who saved them from their sadness and loneliness, and showed them a path that they can proudly walk in.

Quite right. Though should be noted that only 5 of these personas are brought out in serious combat.

Ocean - Julie herself, for when she's confident enough, like when friends are on her side. The most level headed.
Rin - This is the persona that appears the most in low-threat fights and brawls, like in street muggings or petty thieves.
Tara - For when the situation escalates to beyond Rin's scope, for example serious duels and matches. Cares more about physical exercise than actual victory though.
Saul - The best choice when you're REALLY serious to deal some serious hurt in the form of broken bones, smashed noses, disjointed limbs and lots of blood.
Trisha - Rarely appear in fights, but when she does, she wants you DEAD, period. Appears only to exact harsh vengeance on her enemies.

The other 6 personas almost never appear in combat because of their peaceful and non-combat "specialties", which wouldn't be appropriate. And due to Julie's textbook mentality on the formulation of plans, she can get really confused if things don't go as planned

Fate smiled at her, "I'm glad for you, soon you'll be reunited with your mother, and then you'll live a happy life with her."

She looked at Erio and Caro, who smiled at her...This is the person they were talking about when they fought her that day.
The one who saved them from their sadness and loneliness, and showed them a path that they can proudly walk in.

Well ark already explained it better than I have, though I'd personally use a stretching rubber band and a little materials science to do it.

Like you said the output is flexible, so she can control her output to anywhere within her power ceiling, just like now you repeatedly stretch a rubber band within its range of elastic deformation. But once you get it to plastically deform, there is a permanent extension in length, which is how I see her going above her power ceiling.

Therefore power ceiling = elastic limit. :3 I got lazy.

And guys...personally the ARIA crack is a little too much for me lol. Well have fun.

A particular linker core, like a particular engine, can only potentially produce so much power. A engine with poor tuning will produce less, good tuning will bring out everything it has, and a damaged engine, insofar as it runs at all, has its output permanently reduced.

Hmm viewing from that analogy it does make sense.

The main problem is that Nanoha already screwed up her core once with the Starlight Breaker overload, and she recovered from it eventually.

1) Back when Nanoha was beam-spamming left and right as a kid, at the very least, no one gave her a Limit Break that will actually allow her to go over 100. Thus, rather than actually getting broken, it is more getting prematurely worn out from too many high power cycles being placed on it.
2) Nobody really knows what the heck happened in that scene to the very end. The Linker Core obviously had something to do with the incident. But it is hard to tell what. Did the worn plant just do a "hiccup" (kind of like my god-darn sprained leg suddenly crapping out for a couple of seconds) at a bad time, thus giving that Type 4 Gadget an opportunity? Or was it a "boiler explosion?" Something in b/w. We don't know the extent of damage to the core.
3) Unlike now, Nanoha was placed in enforced bed rest due to her physical injuries, apparently for a fair period of time. That may have allowed mildly damaged parts to patch themselves. Now she's running her engines continuously, thanks to the fact she wasn't that badly injured.
4) It is not at all clear how well she actually recovered from the whole mess, or from previous abuses for the matter. It is clear she didn't become a cripple, either magically or physically. Beyond that we know squat. She might have blown 10% or more that day. The loss (and all others that may have accumulated as she overworked her plant) may have been "covered up" by the fact she was still growing at that time (now that she has completely or mostly finished growing at 19, such cover ups are not possible). She may already have re-trained to use "backups" during her rehabiliation, and now the new breakdowns crunched those as well and so on...

All we know is that this time, she has blown 8%, that it sure as heck it doesn't look like it is coming back and Nanoha is squandering any chance it'll come back by ignoring the doctor's advice and continuing to run her planet.

Nanoha didn't really lose her magical abilities, it has more to do with power-output and personally, it's kinda implied that she's reached her peak really.

I agree with this analogy. Else whatever SS04 really wouldn't make any sense.

The SLB screw-up, imo is closer to a constant rev of her output at 90% ~ 100%, putting strains, but nothing that cracks her core. She was at a more tender age that control over her full potential isn't all that powerful. Just because 100% is an option doesn't mean it's feasible, look what the long-term strain did to her when she got stabbed by a drone.

Blaster Mode is said to legitimately push beyond a mage's limit, as in over 100%.

Some people would be hard-pressed to describe Julie in terms of personality, especially after the bout of self-induced dissociative identity disorder she underwent in her childhood. But putting aside considerations of alternative personalities, Julie is an easy, if complicated person.

Like many with Asperger’s Syndrome, Julie is a person struggling with a condition which she never wanted yet has to live with. The relative mildness of her condition along with her intellect allows her to acknowledge her condition very well, even understand it. And this is a constant source of frustration for her, knowing her affliction but knowing she can’t do anything about it. It is not through apathy, indifference, or laziness with which her inaction lies. She just… can’t, as is her nature. And it is this struggle which most often defines her as a person, though she is more than just her syndrome.

By herself, Julie is a chronically nervous and shy person, who’s more comfortable alone than mingling with other people, spending most of her time in her studies or readings, maybe in practice honing her magic skills. She takes comfort in thought experiments and lazy daydreaming, her own mind as one of her best friends letting her vivid imagination run wild, and can often be found in places where she can be isolated in wide open spaces, like parks or rooftops. As many would describe it, she “has her own world”. With her above average intellect she understands many advanced high-level concepts quite well, especially in the field of computer programming, and she often astounds many with her knowledge of subjects far above her age. Her intellect makes her highly self-aware of her own thoughts, and many times she second guesses herself to the point of hesitation.

Her readings also make her the supposed smartest of the three, and when Asagi and Mayura needs knowledge or advice beyond what they know, Julie delivers. Although her smarts tend to come more from “textbook wisdom”, and when things don’t go by the book Julie tends to have “paralysis by analysis”. And as Julie herself painfully knows, knowledge hardly ever equals wisdom, and many times she has difficulty even following her own advice, either due to lack of guts, initiative, means – or all. And no advice is more difficult for her to follow than her tips regarding… personal interaction.

It’s not like she dislikes human contact – in fact, she longs for friends, and yet she often can’t summon the courage necessary to mingle without the help of others. Most people would mistake her timidly silent, uncaring exterior as indignance and arrogance, a cold queen that prefers to keep them away at arm’s length – or farther. It’s not like she minds though, as most of the time she prefers musing in her own thoughts and mental exercises, but it still breaks her heart when she does. Many times honest to a fault, Julie can at times be tactless and direct, saying only what needs to be said and no more.

Only two things breaks her out of this mold though.

One is through her closest friends, especially Asagi and Mayura. In their presence, Julie revels in herself and lets loose. Both girls acknowledge and accept Julie’s true colors, and even encourage her to be herself, a hope not lost on Julie, and one which gives her self-confidence and pride to do things she might otherwise not. Constant exposure to Asagi-level radiation though can turn the normally silent girl into a loud, rash and out of control person, with the infectious energy making Julie run on hyperdrive. Having a dislike for erroneous facts and ignorant opinions she is quick to point out and correct mistakes in action or reasoning, often with accompanying... “conditioning”, which unfortunately for the two other Belkarangers, usually hurts…

(As Asagi would tell you, Julie is the “Tsukkomi” to the group’s “Boke”... )

It is often with Asagi or Mayura, or both, where Julie finds the strength to throw away logic and kick reason to the curb to become a fabulously smashing Belkaranger, a reason she likes their company very much.

The second method is through Julie’s traditional method: Disguises. Julie is long past the part of relying solely on her disguises to solve her interpersonal problems ever since joining the Belkarangers, nonetheless old habits die hard, and the personas she’s created since her childhood are still around whenever she needs them, often appearing whenever Julie’s nervousness or uncertainty hits an extreme high – which is more than likely to happen whenever she’s alone without any of her friends in sight in the company of strangers. Each persona was created to conform into any social situation Julie might confront, often, but not necessarily accompanied by the appropriate facial and body transformation using her transformation magic. These personas stem from different branches of Julie’s own imagination and personality – some of them are aspects of Julie’s own base personality amplified to dominate and take charge of the situation at hand, while others are stereotypes from various media she has seen, and some are images of the people that Julie wishes to be.

It should be noted that these are not separate entities in their own right oblivious to each other as per “true” multiple personalities, but simply advanced mental defense mechanisms for Julie’s lack of self-confidence, brought about through her astonishing acting skills and mental detachment, and Julie knows about the existence of these personas, and remembers everything they do. At times, Julie can willingly conjure a persona of hers to take care of a situation. Also, these alternate personas rarely appear when Julie is in the presence of Asagi or Mayura, though the two know their existence.

While Julie can create an infinite number of personalities limited only by her imagination, there are seven personality templates which are the most persistent and common ones, and collectively they’re known as Julie’s Eleven. These eleven are classed as such due to their frequent appearances, and the consistency in their physical appearance, which Julie seems to update as she grows up.

The true Julie is often listed as part of the Eleven, being the first, and is referred to as “Ocean”.

“Rin Miles” -

Rin is the most prominent and most frequently used of Julie’s personas, so much in fact she can be truly described as Julie’s alternate personality. Rin is almost the exact opposite of Julie: proudly confident, self-assured and unflinchingly bold and direct. Quite the upbeat and energetic girl, she is the persona that comes up when Julie is overwhelmed by a crowd atmosphere, but she also appears at the smallest opportunity whenever Julie becomes extremely nervous in talking to people. Rin sometimes appears when Julie needs to fight, often the personality behind Julie’s Shuriken form. To those who know her, Rin is the Julie that could’ve been had fate been kinder to the girl – or given enough time, the woman that Julie could eventually become.

“Rusty” -

Rusty is the second of the alternate personalities, and also second in prominence to Rin. She is an eloquent and professional genius dedicated to the job at hand, and is good at long-winded explanations. Her entire being concentrates around work, work and work, and often takes charge to effect change. Disliking ignorance and seeking intellectual perfection, she also takes direct action to correct others of their errors and mistakes. She appears to counter Julie’s stage fright whenever she needs to explain a theory or concept to a crowd, and when working with colleagues to prevent herself from getting distracted. At times though, Rusty steps up when Julie witnesses plain stupidity or ignorance, which earns the offender a most thorough "correction". Appearance-wise, she is frequently seen as a short-haired school-girl with hairclips and glasses.

“Virgil (Vee)” -

Third of Julie’s personalities, she is a sweet and demure girl who makes friends easily and gets along with anybody. Typically agrees with anything everyone says, quite polite and respectful, and compliments everyone frequently. Also has the best singing talent of the personas. Typically appears in situations in occasions where formality is required. She is also affectionately called "Vee" or "Vee-Vee".

“Tury” -

Julie’s fourth persona, Tury is a playful child-like personality, unburdened from problems and lives only for fun and excitement, and gets bored easily. She also the humorous girl who likes jokes and pranks. Tury appears when Julie is in the company of children (or child-like people), though at times she has appeared when Julie gets lost in toy stores or nurseries. Often represented as a young girl with long ponytail and lighter hair color.

“Yen” -

The fifth persona, whose love is for possessions and valuables. A thrifty spender, this crafty fox likes bargaining, haggling, and negotiating to for the lowest price and will not quite till she gets the best discounts. One of the best personas to have around when shopping or negotiating.

“Catty” -

An extremely focused and calculating person, this clean-cut and trim sixth personality plans every move with exacting and demanding precision, leaving no stone unturned, and meticulous in her actions. No action is without reason, and Catty works her brain on overdrive till a nearly fool-proof course of action has been devised, and every variable has been accounted for to ensure the perfection of "THE PLAN". Appears during tactical planning sessions and briefings, and also when Julie needs to take command of a situation. Like Rusty, she is always seen wearing glasses, and unlike the others has yellow eyes.

“Tara” -

Tara is the seventh of the personalities, and she appears to give Julie a hand in anything related to physical activities, like athletics or sports, at times even plain running. She works hard at practice, and stubbornly determined to give 120% of their bodies in the pursuit of health and fitness. She’s also a fighter who appears during intense matches or short combat bouts that Rin can’t handle. Her personality is slightly based off Mayura, and her physical appearance is reminiscent of the girl in her younger years.

“Saul” -

This eighth persona is unique amongst the 11 as the only MALE persona of the group complete with gender-swapping. An amalgamation of stereotypes from action movies, Saul is a cocky, knuckle-cracking, gutsy, arrogant and overconfident fighter whose main love is violence. Hardass and tough as nails, Saul bows down to no one, and can often be performing “manly” things like chewing on and spitting (imaginary) tobacco, and spouting out action hero catchphrases and lines like “asta la vista” or “yippee-kay-yay” along with loads of profanity. He typically appears when Julie swallows more than she can chew in a direct fight, and many times has taken over from Tara in fights.

“Dell” -

Ninth of the personalities, Dell is an incredibly disciplined and patient persona, modeled after the motherly character. Calm and wise she offers counsel and advice with a stern yet gentle voice, and is a very good listener when one needs someone to spill their heart to. Rarely appears, but has shown up during times of disaster or calamities.

“Trisha” -

The last persona of the 11 and yet one of the earliest, Trisha is a vengeful persona, one who takes in all of Julie’s hate and sorrow, and stops at nothing to mete out and exact harsh retaliation on her enemies. This personality was once a constant part of Julie’s childhood when she was bullied and picked on. Now a rarity, Trisha nonetheless makes appearances whenever a friend has been severely wronged, harmed... or worse. Unlike the other personas, Trisha does not have her own appearance, though her presence is betrayed by a change of eye color to red.

This once timid and shy girl though has had lots of help with her friends in overcoming the syndrome that restrains her, and through the years Julie’s ever growing poise in herself has allowed her to approach avenues and horizons she never thought possible. And as her confidence in herself grows, Julie finds herself using her disguises less in social encounters. It can be hard to let go of old friends though, and even with developments in her self-confidence and assurance Julie finds it hard to erase these personas completely, of whom to some level she’s grown quite fond off.

Nonetheless Julie has a long road to go in overcoming her condition, but with continued support and encouragement from her friends, it’s a goal she very much looks forward to achieving.

Wowowow. Now this is an interesting character.

I see why Julie provides the team with thorough knowledge and advice. I can already picture some funny moments when things just dont go by the book.

And 11 personalities... I think my favorite is either Rin or Virgil, though I wouldnt mind being lectured and punished by Catty or Rusty, and then being nurtured by Dell

[13-year-old Julie in Adventure Form without visor]

As with the two other Belkarangers, Julie uses the Asagi-designed standard “Adventure Form” uniform, based on the Boukenger suit and equipped with multipurpose visor during presentations. An advantage Julie has over her companions though is her much higher magical aptitude and Linker Core capacity and output, translating to a much higher magical rank. Her barrier jacket is thus able to absorb and withstand more magical punishment than Asagi and Mayura’s. Also, Julie can purge the collar, necktie, gloves and boots of her Adventure Form Jacket to create a much lighter version called “Shuriken” form, which gives her increased mobility at the cost of protection.

Unique to Julie’s barrier jacket is her magical program Soul Advent: Infinity Wardrobe, a companion program to Infinity Effects Works. This program is an enhanced version of the mental Barrier Jacket visualization program used in intelligent devices (essentially the program that allows one to design and create a barrier jacket based on their mental images). This enhanced program offers better formation speed, accuracy and complexity to the creation process, allowing Julie to realize complex and intricate outfits and designs down to the smallest detail, from fabric type to stitch to creases and even badges and pins. This allows her to create outfits to instantly match her change in physical appearance, resulting in more convincing disguises. Due to the complexity of the program only Julie and her devices have the ability to use it to its full potential.

Also unique to Julie is her Strike Change (SC) cards. These are magical device cards that can conjure a pre-designed barrier jacket in an instant. These require minimal magical energy from the user to activate, and allows for the summoning of Barrier Jacket designs that would be impossible under normal circumstances due to energy cost, such as heavy all-metal armor and full helmets (one reason Asagi decreed the use of visors was because her own magic levels were insufficient in creating helmets). Also, these cards can be used by others authorized to use them, like her fellow Belkarangers. However, these cards can only maintain power for the Barrier Jacket for up to three minutes maximum, and are thus used sparingly.

As is the norm for the Belkarangers, these Strike Change cards use Tokusatsu show and Super Sentai inspirations for the Barrier Jacket templates, and are activated with much HOTBLOOD, FLASH and SFX depending on who uses them.

Here are a few of Julie’s most used designs from her Strike Change cards.

Metal Armor Type:
These are Barrier Jackets with enhanced physical protection in the form of hard steel composite adamantium plate, which cover nearly the entire body. While giving improved protection from physical attacks, these metal armors are quite heavy even with the assistance of Impulse Spells, and thus used in engagements where anti-magilink technology degrades the effectiveness of standard Barrier Jackets.

Julie has three armor forms, which are based off the main character costumes of the Space Sheriffs series of Metal Heroes, and her activation style is taken directly from their fabulous henshin sequences. Functionally, there is no difference between the three suits, and Julie chooses which suit to use out of whim.

“Diamond” Form -



Silver armor, based on the design of Space Sheriff Gavan. Summoned by the command “Jouchaku!”

“Ruby” Form -



Red armor, based on Space Sheriff Sharivan. Summoned by the command “Sekisha!”

“Aqua” Form -



Blue armor, based on Space Sheriff Shaider. Summoned by “Shouketsu!”, or alternatively “Blue Flash”. Of the three armors, this is Julie’s most used.

Heavy Armor Type:
This armor type is lighter than the Metal Armor Type by reducing the amount of plate armor. This armor is a compromise between the requirements of mobility and protection, slower than Light Armor Types, yet offers less protection than Metal types. Nonetheless they are still useful in a variety of situations where both are required.

The three main Heavy Armors are based off Super Sentai’s “Sixth Sentai” costumes.

MagiShine –



Golden armor taken from Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Julie summons this using MagiShine’s transformation sequence. The cape can be used as a AAA+ magic shield.

BoukenSilver –



Silver armor from GoGo Sentai Boukenger, and is summoned using BoukenSilver’s transformation sequence. The Boukensilver helmet provides all the functionality of the Adventure form helmet, including built-in searchlights.

Shurikenger –


The Shurikenger costume and Fire Mode

Green and gold armor from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger, and is summoned with Shurikenger’s sequence. Out of all the armors in her arsenal, this is Julie’s Number One All-Time Favorite.

Light Armor Type:
This armor type offers the best mobility of the armor types, but at the cost of reduced protection, offering only minimal barrier jacket protection.

As with the Heavy Armor, these are derived from “Sixth Sentai” costumes.

Shurikenger Fire Mode -

Like as shown in Hurricanger, this mode is derived from the Heavy Armor Shurikenger form, where the front golden armor vest is removed and the upper half of the helmet turned around, improving all around mobility and speed.

The essence of Neltharion proved to be the greatest obstacle in the reconstruction. The information on the essence was not complete, and the body kept destabilizing before it could properly grow. Eventually Jail found a solution, he would allow the body to grow before introducing the corruption at a steady pace. However, due to the fact that he could not properly simulate the circumstances surrounding the original, he had to maximize the synchronization, which includes switching the XX chromosomes to XY chromosomes.

The experiment proved to be a failure at the large. While the cyborg certainly had not destabilized, the corruption was weaker then the original. While it could be used to relative safety and give an admirable boost, it failed to compare to the original in power.

However, Jail was not one to merely discard a result just because it was not as he had first planned it to be. Further analysis proved his decision to be a good one, as Kerokun proved to have a talent for infiltration, as well as an IS that accompanied that skill excellently.

• Inherent Skill: Silver Retriever: Kerokun’s main IS, Silver Retriever allows him to instantly retrieve desired information from any source. While it does not allow him to bypass security directly, Silver Retriever can be used to discover which keys were last entered, thereby decoding the passwords to security systems. If anything, this makes the skill even more dangerous then it would have been otherwise. Silver Retriever can also be used to scan the minds of humans, however physical contact must be required before it can be used, and maintained while the skill is in use.

As for Friediche, he's quite a monster now.

When introducing Erio, I felt that he must be introduced in the same way as StrikerS, with Sonic Move . Coupled with with enough dialogue to know that he's pissed, and then battle, and I think I did his intro justice. As for Limit Break, perhaps. Haven't decided how GAR I wanna make his default form before he has to bust out a limit break.

And Freidrich is indeed quite a beast. He's more of a true dragon now, not whatever that was during StrikerS.

Pretty much. Plus since each mode is just armor added onto Plat Form, he can switch to another mode after using Cast Off.

Personality
Keroko-kun is a very laid back person. His feminine appearance has been the subject of many jokes of his sisters, but he takes them as they are meant to be, jokes which he of course returns with a vengeance. Keroko-kun loves reading and writing, and can often be found either reading a book or writing his own stories. This of course, does make him a bit of a wanderer, and when it is not needed for him to focus on something he can often space out as his mind wanders back to the stories he is reading or writing.

He gets along great with Cinque, whom he often talks to about stories, and Wendi, as he shares her good natured sense of humor and mischievous streak. Keroko-kun is talented in the art of lying and bluffing, with which the two caused great chaos amongst their siblings. Far less easy for him to get along with are Nove, whom he at times clashes with in arguments, and Tre, whom he respected, but rather not tried to socialize with.

Being that his genetic template came from Takamachi Keroko, and his physical resemblance, there are times when his sisters jokingly call him ‘Keroko’ only adding –kun to separate the two. When he finally did meet his original, he was more then surprised at the contrast between them, with her being wild and impulsive, whereas he was (mostly) calm and calculative.

History
Keroko-kun, or as he was first called, Uomo, was supposed to be one of Jail’s finest creations. Using the genetic data of Takamachi Georashi Keroko, he would re-create the infamous Ace of the Skies as his own Sentoukijin. The combination of Cyborg technologies and the presence of Neltharion’s essence would create one of the finest Sentoukijin, an expert fighter with control over the corruption. A perfect insult towards the Administration Bureau.

Again, in theory. In practice, even with a complete genetical blueprint, re-creating Keroko proved to be a difficult task. The essence of Neltharion proved to be the greatest obstacle in the reconstruction. The information on the essence was not complete, and the body kept destabilizing before it could properly grow. Eventually Jail found a solution, he would allow the body to grow before introducing the corruption at a steady pace. However, due to the fact that he could not properly simulate the circumstances surrounding the original, he had to maximize the synchronization, which includes switching the XX chromosomes to XY chromosomes.

The experiment proved to be a failure at the large. While the cyborg certainly had not destabilized, the corruption was weaker then the original. While it could be used to relative safety and give an admirable boost, it failed to compare to the original in power.

However, Jail was not one to merely discard a result just because it was not as he had first planned it to be. Further analysis proved his decision to be a good one, as Keroko-kun proved to have a talent for infiltration, as well as an IS that accompanied that skill excellently.

Powers
• Inherent Skill: Silver Retriever: Keroko-kun’s main IS, Silver Retriever allows him to instantly retrieve desired information from any source. While it does not allow him to bypass security directly, Silver Retriever can be used to discover which keys were last entered, thereby decoding the passwords to security systems. If anything, this makes the skill even more dangerous then it would have been otherwise. Silver Retriever can also be used to scan the minds of humans, however physical contact must be required before it can be used, and maintained while the skill is in use.
• Inherent Skill: Dark Boost: Using the inherited corruption, Keroko-kun temporarily boosts his physical abilities. Exhaustion is a common aftereffect.
• Inherent Equipment: Stealth Generator: The colar around his neck doubles as a stealth-field generator, rendering him invisible to sight, and common detection methods.

Combat
Keroko-kun specializes in infiltration, his IS allowing him to retrieve any form of information, his skills with bluffing and lying allow him to pose as innocent bystanders or colleagues, and his stealth field allows him to bypass those where his former talent fails. When infiltrated, Keroko-kun’s main objectives are data gathering and the assessment of threats. Gathered data is then send back to Jail via Uno, after which Keroko-kun resumes the same tasks. Keroko-kun also uses his talents to sabotage key plans and facilities, depending on what or why the situation needs to be sabotaged. During Jail’s attack on HQ, Keroko-kun was responsible for the sabotage of several of the generators powering the countermeasures.

When in one-on-one combat, Keroko-kun uses a combination of assassination and martial art techniques, preferring to sneak up the enemy and deliver a fatal blow before they can react, and countering their moves while using the gained momentum to his advantage if he can’t. His main signature in combat is speed, able to deliver a flurry of blows before the opposition has time to raise their guard.
