I like the way the character designs look. They made a new logo for the TV series. I like the old logo (for the games) better, but I'm not going to bash a great title because of the logo.

I'm still hoping they didn't jack this series by making it only 12 episodes, though. >.>

Al Azif seems to be cuter in the game (or in the OAV), though.

As you say >_<
I can't help but think about what they did with Jinki Extend...

Updates have been made for both the Demonbane game site and the anime site. The release date for Kishin Hishou Demonbane (the sequel game to Kishin Houkou Dmeonbane) has finally been announced as May 26, 2006. There will also be a DX version. Teh anime site has had something about episode 6 updated.

Demonbane will start airing next week taking over Karin 's timeslot.

Thursdays 24:00 hrs --> Fridays 00:00 a.m. (midnight) WOWOW.

Another preview trailer was broadcasted right after the last Karin episode finished.

Looking at those pics, the art and animation quality has captivated me and more so since also contains mecha. This series now goes into my radar, and I will be looking forward to it next week.

BTW, was this show adapted from a game? and would be one of those rare shows broadcasted in different regions of Japan at different dates?

Yep.

And judging from the second screen there, it looks like Al is *ahem* physically closer to Kuro's age in the anime.

The show is adapted from a PC erogame by NITRO+, a newer studio that's really growing in popularity. Their games have amazing technical/background/character design, really well-thought out stories and enough cast members of both genders to appeal to a significant crossover audience. The first offering from their BL game line (Nitro Chiral) is pretty much pwning the girls' PC game market too.

A "deporned" version of the game is also out for PS2 in Japan... it came packaged with a short OVA (which I think has been subtitled by now)

Looking forward to this one. Anything Nitro makes me happy <3

Speaking of the game, the Kishin Hishou Demonbane DX package Shinji103 was talking about is on the front page at Himeya :

http://www.himeyashop.com/product_in...oducts_id/3712

$95 seems cheap for a game, an OST and a visual Book

I thought Nitroplus has been around for a while now... their first game, according to Getchu, was Phantom of Inferno, from 2000...

That's new for me

heh... either way they've only really been "big" in the industry last 2-3 years, and just entered BL/josei games last year. This is their first big animation project.

Compared to the other bigname game devs like LEAF and KEY, they're new

I'm not really sure, but I think the art in the Noiji Ito artbook of Al and Ethel was just extra stuff she did.

So what day is Demonbane airing this week again? I know it's taking Karin's time slot, but I never could remember when Karin's slot was.

I'm trying not to get too hyped incase it's terrible (and I'll deffinately give it half the series to make that decision because lately that's what it's been taking) but I'm finding it really hard to keep my excitement down. I'm a big N+ fan (I even bought several figures and -GASP- I actually paid for the games!) and that's making it very hard to not let my hopes skyrocket.

Incase it hasn't been posted, here's a direct link to their gallery.

The main question will be whether they will give us enough shot of Al's mint green pantsu ?

That will be so Un-Deamonbane if they arn't going to.

Okay, well that was an odd episode... I'm having problems taking it seriously, especially with that deviant of an evil villain. Was the original game this comedic/campy?

Uh oh, it looks like Al Azif is not pleased <_<

EDIT: fixed spelling
