Well, Saki fans are not the only ones who can assassinate. If Akarin loses this early, I'm pretty sure this group will be screwed up. We probably end up with Isumi or some weaker character as a group representative. (Remember 2009's group B.)

(Random fact: Isumi was put in Group B four out of five times in AST.)

Akari looks okay now but it's not exactly a result that inspires confidence. We'll see how Toki does tomorrow but Toki will likely walk away from Round 1 looking better than Akari.

Well with yesterdays 'micro upsets' that concludes the opening bars of 'The Ballad Of Side A" for this year, just twelve (I shudder to call them angry) let's say feisty women left standing tall, and Idols they are all.

Now today is "Saimoe-Hen Episode of Side B: Part One" and another Big Gun is lined ready to fire. Hayate if you please, do the honours and light that blue touchpaper on, what I hope will be a cracking contest.

All this rage against the Saki faction who despite having 40+ contestants isn't that strong (with 2-3 exceptions).

That definitely play a part. And people have to realized that Izumi is Hayate's #4 (or even #3...) this year (Overall, Hina is by far their #1, Athena #2 but she's not eligible, which makes Nagi, who's always #3, their #2. #3 is then Maria, but she's freefalling, so it can actaully be argue that Izumi is their #3 at times...)

Half of them are going nowhere anyway. The unknown quality haven't appear anyway (We know how strong Saki, Kodomo, and Tacos are. Toki we know would be strong. But Ako and Yuu? Hard to use prelim result to judge their real strength...)

In another word, tracker is only there for someone to be tricked...Like Izumi ever even has a chance against Akarin. It's not quite a triple that I predicted, but it's more than a double...

As far as personal result. I'm 2-1 today (11-4 Total). Isumi looks to be ahead the whole time according to tracker, but of course, she ends up losing to Kanade.

Hina and Nagi both finished first in their prelim group, while Isumi qualified as #12, Izumi only from 2nd Prelims (as #4). The gap between the top two (since Athena is not around) and the rest is huge...

I managed to guess right that Yuka would win but was wrong on Isumi's match. Kanade turned out to be stronger than I thought. Akari ends up stopming her opponents after all. The scare at the start of the match turned out to be nothing at all. Akari still intends to show up and win at the Block finals and maybe even further.

The champion takes the field today! Well, future champion... maybe. She's someone to watch at least. Onjouji Toki will be trying to show that's it's only a matter of time before she wins. Tsumiki is just happy to make the main tournament, but Airi is probably around average. I don't think she's quite strong enough to even make a sniping attempt at Toki. Maybe in a more normal group, Airi could have advanced. In the first match Iori should win without much trouble. She'll only need to worry about Jindai if Toki ends up boosting her. Otherwise, Jindai isn't that threatening. Sugiura Ayano got a pretty bad draw and faces Misaki Mei. Ayano is decently strong but Mei is one of the stronger characters in the tournament. Mei should win her match.
