Leerin to me, well she is pretty much the first fiction being I wish so much misfortune on. The way she treated Layfon brought me as much raged as when me and my girlfriend first watch a Japanese anime pornography. Turned out it was NTR and my girlfriend broke it with with my 40 pound dumbbell. I wish for retribution, is it weird for me to wish for misfortune for a fictional character.

...Depends on the translators you get, because the CSR translators are the most 'fansub'-like team on Baka Tsuki you can get, and extremely consistent in their releases...again, Baka Tsuki isn't a fansub group, just a place where people upload their translations. If you don't want to wait, go learn some Japanese.

Oh no I'm sorry if what I said got misunderstood (Seeing only the words can leave out much of the intent after-all) but I completely did not mean that in a whining sense at all. I was just saying that since they had whole volumes to complete til they got to volume 18 it is going to take awhile, and the novels in-between are going to have a less than pleasant to read emotional period for the main character. Also it appears the tone of my comment got mixed up as well. I wasn't complaining about the translation speed (When I said considering Baka-Tsuki's translation speed I meant the fact that the translators can start and stop at will), I was simply showing my feelings on the fact that the protagonist has to spend 3 whole volumes in an angst period (Hence the sigh at the end). I'm an extremely patient person by nature, and I don't want myself to be misunderstood so I apologize if my intent wasn't all that clear in my comments; I mean no offence to the translators of Baka-Tsuki at all. Personally I greatly appreciate the speed and efficiency in which you translate the Baka to Test novels, they happen to be my favorite light novel series and I just want to make it clear that I am in no way dissatisfied with the actual "speed" of translating light novels.

Judging by the novel illustrations and the summaries people have given us before, that isn't going to happen anytime soon; though I do hope it does eventually happen. Volume 15-17 seems to be mainly Layfon's depression period and him developing feelings for Felli. Volume 18 appears to be that Layfon realizes he has feelings for her, and trying to figure out what to do now that he has them; AKA cliche (In a good way) does she like me or does she not high-school romantic comedic situation. Volume 19 is a side volume, the main plot story is that Felli is a magical girl. Judging by the pictures it seems to have some Felli and Layfon ship-tease events in it, so either takes place after 18, or during the developing feelings period 15-17. I have no idea what Volume 20 is about though, while it doesn't seem essential to the main plot it also doesn't look like a side story either. All in all I am predicting the "Leerin gets he just deserts while Felli and Layfon end up together" scene isn't going to take place for a few more volumes after 20. This is a cash-cow franchise after all (once again, not necessarily in a bad way) so the author is going to stretch out the "Who get's Layfon in the end?" plot point til the very end. Admit it, most of you guys are reading for the romance part of it anyway, after-all the "plot" is something that is hard to understand in one sitting.

I couldn't care less about the whole conspiracy in the plot. I read it to see how it'd end, then determine if it's shit or not. I don't think too highly of the plot either.

Personally, I kind of like where this novels going. I still pretty much like Leerin, despite certain events. I just think this novel is focusing alot on romance, which I'm kind of on the fence about. Good thing it's not a shoujo, or else I'll expect Layfon to fall for like different girls before he finds the 'end' girl. Im sure the author knows Layfon x Felli pairing has the most fans, then from what I heard from a friend it was Layfon x Leerin in Japan who's next. We're 20 volumes in and so far Layfon's feelings are for Leerin plus the three kisses. I like Felli, I personally don't mind who he ends up with between those two. Anyways, anyone know when vol. 21 will be released in Japan?

Layfon notice his feelings in vol 14 when he was about to lose her, other than that Leerin loses when it comes to real feelings of love for Layfon. Layfon notices it when she was about to be gone, it was his memories and time he spent with her for him to realize this. Before any of this, Layfon generally treated Leerin as a friend even with the kisses not once feeling embarrass, flustered, or any physical thoughts to be with her. Leerin made her choice to abandon him (which she thought she was protecting him) and decided to follow her predestine fate. Layfon on the other hand lived for the sake of others, never felt the obligations to live for his own life until he met Felli. Felli was the one who I say in fact truly knows him, she experience his strong points and was there for him when he broke down. Unlike Leerin, Layfon actually had thoughts of embarrassment, flustered, and trying to connect with Felli physically. That is a win in my book for Felli considering she manage to awaken the Emo Layfon to take interest in the opposite sex. Some people like Leerin and Layfon paring, yet I like Felli and Layfon pairing. Layfon and Felli I feel is going to end up together, most Romance type stories kind of point out who the Main Characters will end up with. With this author, it appears he is doing something different. Leerin has been pretty stubborn in her attempts to avoid the reality of Layfon and is keeping her life in predestine fate. Layfon and Felli appears to live how they want, the author probably wants to spark something up for Leerin to wake up. Layfon and Felli pairing up will do the trick to expose and make Leerin wake up from her fantasy world, maybe in the harsh way but she deserves it in my opinion.

It is rather quick to judge, the foreshadowing of the pairing was in vol 15 when Layfon broke down crying to Felli. After that, Layfon although was still in a social depression for 15, 16 and 17 he looked at Felli in a different way. The pairing will most likely happen and this author appears to be dragging the story for maybe another 3 or more volumes considering there are multiple things that have yet to be answers. If he pairing does not happen I am sure disappointed, but not enough to send me in a small turmoil like when me and my girlfriend first watch a Japanese animated pron and it turned out to be NTR.

If the pairing don't happen I will be disappoint but nothing more.
