Mushi-Uta is a shounen(boy's) light novel (its published under the shounen light novel label Sneaker Bunko), while the short story light novel titled: Mushi-Uta bug is serialized in the male oriented light novel magazine The Sneaker (Suzumiya Haruhi, Trinity Blood, Rental Magica, ...).

Mahou Sensei Negima creator Ken Akamatsu's May 18th blog entry has formally confirmed earlier rumors and speculation about development of a live action television series. Reportedly the program will debut next year.

Though I say manga/light novel "adaptations" of anime, but the manga/light novels might not follow the anime at all, they might have a very different story from the anime. either way you can mention the manga/light novels in this thread (be it follows the anime or not).

Some examples:
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann will be getting a shounen manga in Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine.
Romeo×Juliet got a shoujo manga in Asuka magazine.
DARKER THAN BLACK will be getting a shoujo manga in Asuka magazine.

Ahh but please don't mention manga adaptaions of light novels or light novels adptations of manga

Toei Animation has announced development of a new trilogy of 3D educational Galaxy Express 999 anime films. The short films will be screened in IMAX theaters in Japan, and possibly internationally.

Galaxy Express 999 ~ Timeline of the Starry Sky: The Sun and the Extinction of the Dinosaurs will premier on July 14th. Outer Space and the Horse Head Nebula, and The Expanse of Time Space: The Starry Sky is a Time Machine, will follow.

Madhouse to Make CG Penguin Movie

Madhouse has revealed plans to develop a full CG anime film titled "Yona Yona Penguin." The story about a human girl in a world of goblins who believe that their saviour will be a penguin will be co-produced by Madhouse and French company Denis Friedman Productions, and directed by Rintaro. The film will be released in Japan in December 2008, and will also receive international distribution.

In the Minami house there are three sisters: Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki. Each sister cannot be more different from the others. Haruka is both industrious and motherly, perfect traits for the eldest girl and therefore head of the household. Kana is spunky and deeply naive (alright, stupid). Chiaki is cool but capable of tenderness, especially toward the much-admired Haruka.

Unlike most other manga series, Minami-ke does not depend on outlandish situations or characters to evince humor. Instead, hilarity arises from the sisters' interaction with their peers at school and each other at home.
