The first two map is hellish (cause my CVL is underleveled).

I don't think that it's because your CVL were underleveled. It's just that going through E1 and E2 is like nude running a meat grinder and pray that you make it barely alive. About six time in a row. The map just plain sucked since each node have something to ruin your day, be it trollsubs, yasen, elite wo and the BB.

That definitely, combined with my underlevel CVL (hey, my lovely Hiyou and Junyou only level 38 and 36 when the event start)
Just glad i pull through the 2 hellish map...

IIRC, my Zuihou and Hiyou were 25ish. Then I switched Hiyou with RJ in E2 (I believe I did it for LoS reason).

My Hiyou was actually overleveled - 71 - when I started. Though what holds me back is my shitty luck when it comes to crafting. Only have 1 Saiun, 1 Air Radar and 1 Type 3 as of yesterday.

I got 2 additional Saiun by using 30 60 10 110 with Kaga (lvl 88) as my flagship from friday completing daily development quest. Also I got 2 additional reppu...
So I count myself lucky there.

I feel you man. My few last runs were pretty shitty.
Imagine, all ships sparkled, and they got glancing damages - less than 100, sometime less than 10 - repeadtedly.
The absolute worst? Haguro managed to get Northern down to 80, with Shima and Myoukou coming right up. Guess what? THEY FAILED. Ugh. I was this close to smashing my laptop.

Yeah, got Amatsukaze out of E4. Generally I'm satisfied by what my three successful E4 runs have brought me. Amatsukaze and Kumano.

Cleared E-5 like a week and a half ago, spent the rest of my saved resources for LSC.

Yamato, Musashi, all event rewards up to E-5...pretty good result I'd say for this event overall

Can't go wrong with Kumano!
If you put the aircraft mechanics you got from E-3 on Kumano she gets really strong, by the way. It ups her range to "long", which means she can get an early shot in.

I think even if you equip Taigei with Akitsumaru ASW equipment, she still can't attack sub =/

I don't if i should be please or not.... on my daily quest on subs collected the 8th I-19 6 I-58 & 11 I-168 and only 1 I-8 ....

I 've lvled the triplets to kai model lowest 56 highest 91 .....

I am hesitant use spare subs as upgrade materials

hopefully in the future i can trade them ( But i doubt if it possible there so many issues that can lead to abuse and such ..)

Generally I just keep 2 copies of each sub if possible (to swap if fatigued as I run 2-3 a lot). Anything more than that is crowding the dorms already.

Speaking about subs, what's the quickest way to get subs? My two I-168 are slowly getting too high in level to be suitable as shock absorbers for 3-2-1 leveling sessions.

1-5. Except the problem there is that hitting it too much (Iku and Hachi drop at the boss node, y'see) ramps up your Admiral level, so it's generally not recommended for admirals lower than 80.

After all of the E-6 frustrations died down. I have to say that i fairly enjoyed this event. Still think E-6 was too random and hope they will take a different approach next time through....

What i like most about this event, is actually the campaign locked mechanisms (new players may not as much through). It simply forced the involvements of more ships. As the CL and subs aside, toward the end i think only my Kihugasa, and Mogami didn't involve in someway or another. Wished that they will lock an entire kanmusu type next time through, as it gonna be annoyed if we have to have two lvl 99 Yamato, two lvl 99 Musashi and etc from now on

You see i ended up using total 50 kanmusu for AL, Mi or support, and thinking back just felt like all these collecting and grinding kanmusu was real worthwhile. Of course it could be less, but then i had them all, so why not.... What i have used is:
BB (11):

• Hiei, Kirishima (Mi),

The lock mechanism is the devs' way of making the players diversify their fleet assets. I think that the BBVs might be next on the radar for relevancy (the Ises surviving Leyte is one example.) CL is something that I will be working on after this for sure actually, since I suspect that there may be rat transport or other scenarios that demand the use of CLs in the future.
