anywho, best show of the season continues to impress. its all fine, but i didn't need the explicitness of the omake. which, by the way, was absolutely hilarious apart from the segment i mentioned. reminded me of Saki.

YnS brings the feel of playing an eroge. It feels more like an animated eroge (e.g. school day the game) with segments cut out.
It's not the usual "combine all the routes together while pursuing one girl" format that VN anime usually goes. It's fun to compare the 3 different structures between this show, amagami and fortune arterial, and see the different efficiency in telling the story.

omake is just that, extras that makes no bearing to the story. It's fun fillers to build up characters that doesn't have its place in the actual plot. I enjoy those hilarious antics from the maid, but sometimes wish that they include that as dvd extra instead so more time can be spend on the actual episode.

When you remove the OP and ED(s), the episode has about as much time devoted to it as any other series. Slightly less, but it's a negligible difference.

Yeah, so there mostly speed-rushing through Yosuga no Sora with 2 episodes each arc, basic anime time, to make the 14-? episode limit?

Haven't we been over this...?

It's a 12 episode show. Each arc has 4 episodes, with Sora's have 5. Some of the episodes are "common path" episodes so they're shared among multiple heroines. It's a branching format, like the original game.

So they are pulling an Amagami here. Good to see though that they're not doing it in the same way, but rather are doing an "improved Amagami", so to say:

• they don't start over at the same point with every girl, which is getting tiresome now with Amagami
• they do much more interesting stuff No longer a kiss onto the back of the knee or similar silly stuff is the most exciting stuff that happens, as in Amagami

Thus, I'm already enjoying it more

As was already pointed out earlier in this thread: it could be that this scene was just so to prevent to show more naked male skin, since they expect the viewers don't want to see it and would be turned off by it.

Really enjoyed the first Akira episode, all around very well done
Only thing is that they could've shortened the pointless search a little bit and in turn made the bathtub scene a little longer

Anyway, "Something hard is poking me" deserves a 10/10

Is Sora's route also the main route in the game?

I heard a rumor that its game will be released in English(commercial translation of course, not a fan's work). However incest might be biggest barrier to make its way outside Japan. Da Capo did makes it way outside Japan because its not a blood-related one, unlike YnS.

As a hint, I will remind you that the show's title is, in fact, "Yosuga no Sora". Any time a heroine's name is in the title, it usually means something.

Well, a) this rumour seems like nonsense, but b) the contents wouldn't be any sort of barrier. It's not as if this game would be released at major retailers or something. Other products that portray blood-related incest have been sold outside of Japan before.

Sorry, I didn't see the comments Ono Ryouko referred to, just her tweet about her reaction. Here is a link to her full twitter feed. There is some discussion in her current 2channel thread, starting around post #37, suggesting that Sora-shippers were criticizing her just because she was playing a rival to Sora. From the twitter post, it sounds as if she was feeling worse for Kazuha than for herself, lol.

One fan regretted that she said anything, because it will probably just turn the opposition into some kind of campaign. I can't find anything in the comments on her blog, either, so maybe they have deleted those comments.

   This is literally translatable as "distant memories", but it's also a pretty transparent pun on Haruka's name.

   Reversing the kana in hazuka gives us kazuha, of course.

That beautiful BGM used most of the time during the series (to be specific, the BGM when Haru and Kazuha watching the sunset from the train).. issit an original anime only composition or based on the game's BGM? Would like to know the title if its really from the game BGM.

It's anime original but most of the anime's BGM are just "remix versions" of the eroge's BGM.

Wait never mind, that specific BGM you're talking about is based on one of the eroge's BGM but it has a more "dramatic" sound to it in the anime, heck it sounds like a new piece.
