Actually I thought about renaming this thread when the Rinnegan was introduced but the thread isn't tagged [Manga] and it would have been begging for untagged spoilers back then (without talking about the title itself) so I dropped the idea and completely forgot about it

Edit : which is now done, despite its historical value it was afterall the 5th reiteration of this thread.
It shall be henceforth named Byakugan, Sharingan & Rinnengan (yes, the fact that the vs. disappeared is a clue).

I would like to request a thread about Naruto's new form. Because he will have/use this form until the end of manga (especially against Sasuke) I think it deserves it's own thread for discuusion

If you accept it here is my OP.

Naruto's new Form

First it was interesting to see Naruto's new form is different from other jinchuuriki's forms (like Bee's). This could be because the nine tails have more of the ten tails in him then other bijuus. It also shows us that the sage had had more connection to juubi, why else would Naruto look like Sage in his new form. Also the Sage had the rinnegan something that has much resemblance to one eye Juubi has. On other hand Naruto's new form is like this because Kyuubi is the only bijuu that has it's own chakra separated. Maybe the Sage did the same thing with Juubi with what Naruto did to kyuubi. It is unknown if sage had his form (horns on his head and rest...) before or after he sealed the Juubi in himself.

This is certainly a power up for Naruto, especially since it was hinted from the beginning of manga. The thing is while Naruto got some new powers he may have last some of his old ones.

His healing factor (while he still maybe posses faster healing then other ninja's)

The new powers he may have.

Very high speed.

His strength is also increased (he put his foot trough the rock)

Ability to sense others people intentions (it is unclear if he can also sense other people's emotions)

Yamato comments on how Naruto's new form and chakra is full of life force. This leads me to believe that Naruto will be able to heal others by pumping his new chakra/life force into them. ( remember Chiyo used small amount of life force to heal Sakura's mortal injury, she also used it to bring Gaara back to life). He may even be able to bring the dead back to life, because he has insane amount of life force now.

Also interesting is that the seal Naruto used to seal Kyuubi again is now shown on his body every time he enters his new form. The fact that kyuubi comments ''this is the Sage of six paths'' leeds us to believe that sage used the same or similar seal on Juubi, another thing that may explain Naruto's new form (the sage may have also got his form after the sealing process). Of course because Naruto used very little of his new chakra to gain this form he may still be able to enter tailed states if he uses more (this I believe is because Bee, he did the same thing and is still able to enter tailed states).. But this is maybe also incorrect because when Bee enters his form he still takes chakra from Hachibi while Naruto doesn't have to weaken the seal anymore because the chakra is outside of the seal now.
It seams Naruto's new form has much more potential then Bee's, he doesn't need to ask for chakra anymore, he can use it whenever he wants it.

In the future he can even reinforce his new form by adding sage mode to it. He'll have an ultimate psychical form (something like Ichigo has right now

) He will be able to sense others chakra and their intentions (maybe emotions).

It is also possible that in the end Naruto will have the Juubi inside of himself, if he do to him the same thing he did to Kyuubi. He will basically became god, maybe even stronger then the sage with the all new generations surpassing the old ones way of thinking.

Guys, I have another idea.
It's about a meta discussion of the characters, about how well they are frome a writing perspective. There's a lot to discuss in this imo., for example:

- How well does the character fit the manga?
Was he/she a great addition, a mere plot device or would the manga have been better without him/her?

- How unique is the character?
Is he/she stereotypical or something new we haven't seen before?

- Are the character's trademarks well executed?
Or are they just annoyances?

- Where his/her motives and/or ideologies touched on properly?
Are they well-enough-explained, are they comprehensible and did they even make sense?

- How well are possible changes of heart executed?
Where they too sudden, again, are they comprehensible, what was the reason etc.

This all could be summed up and discussed in a title called "What's the best character from a writing perspective", "Best-written Character" or "Best Character Concept".

Reason? Who cares whether some think Bleach is better than Naruto, or vice versa. "Why is Naruto popular?" is a justifiable question, "Why Bleach is more likeable than Naruto?" offers no real discussion and will simply result in flame wars (against Bleach).

You can talk about characters from the past and the ones that have yet to appear in anime, just use spoilers when you do it.

As I said you can talk about any character/s?(ninja's, civilians etc.) But you can't talk about Naruto or Sasuke. Meaning you can't say those two need more developing. This way we can escape flame wars and trolling.

No insulting, flaming, trolling and any other kind of this treatment. If you don't agree with someones opinion, you don't have to insult that person by resorting to insults.

Please don't use one lines / one sentence while posting. Try to post your opinion/s on why do you think certain characters need more developing. You can have a debate with other members about your opinion/s. Otherwise this thread will be became pointless and probably closed.

There are many characters in Naruto who needs more developing, including secondary characters and others. Some lost their growth do the lack of screen time. While others are simple forgotten for the lack of the better word. When I say developing I don't mean only on their ninja skills, but also their personality's. Their are many characters who almost have the same personality like in the first part of Naruto. Some had development in ninja skill while they lack personality growth, while those who had some personality growth lack ninja skills.

Sakura: While she improved her ninja skills on the beginning on the part2, she didn't have any other skill development. Even trough it's been hinted by Kakashi that she has talent to surpass Tsunade.

Neji: He was supposed to became something like second rival to Sasuke in the first part do to their bloodlines. While he had almost major character devoloplemnt in part 1. This has been ruined because the lack of screen time he gets. He stayed the same as in part 1 in skills and chraracter development. He is also the one who knows the best to use the byakugan, just for this he needs to get more development, yet he is being ignored.

Shikamaru: Even when he shown, it's almost always about his inteligence. His personality hasn't changed much. He still thinks everyone/everything
is troublesome. His ninja skill still remaine's the same. This is the problem because we have some characters with new power levels, while he and other's remain the same. This will also limit their screen time in the future. I may be ok with his personality being almost the same, but I would like to see him developing some/more ninja skills.

And I can say about more other characters

milan kyuubi : I don't think the first thread is necessary (or even desirable for that matter), there are many threads where this can be discussed anyway.
I'm ok with the 2nd one and I don't even think we need to exclude Naruto and Sasuke.

MysticNinjaJay : I don't think we need a thread for that, ask in the Naruto Q&A thread and if someone know you will have your answer.

I intrinsically dislike threads concerning opinions of characters/series being "overrated". Not only is the concept of being overrated hard to understand, but its subjectivity is quite large. An "Underrated" thread might be an option, but this ties in to your next request, and...

I like the idea, but I can't help but think this will quickly devolve into a smear campaign. So, I'm going to pass for now, and urge you, and others, to use the pre-existing character threads (especially the Tertiary Character Thread, which would be a great place to discuss underdeveloped characters). When the series ends, though, this could become a more viable thread...

May I remind the mods here that even though something seems completely irrelevant to your judgement, something that doesnt seem worth discussing or something that would lack your interest would be worthy enough to others.

My point is to take requests for thread creatings more into consideration. The point of discussing is that it will eventually and most of the times lead to something that's even worth more then the original thought of the thread creatings.

In this particulair case i am referring to most of the manga threads were the discussing in the first couple days or pages are on topic. While the following topics are most of the times certain events that are worth discussing to others. Meanwhile it often becomes unrelated to the concering manga chapter.

That's my opinion on that.

I searched with words like sage, path, rikudou and found nothing. I know we already have a thread about Bijuu discussion, and while this my new idea will also include bijuu discussion to some level it would mostly refer to their ties to the sage. I believe we have enough information's about the sage to start a thread like this. Also there are four characters (including Naruto) who seams to have obtained sage's power to some levels. His importance to the story is very important, especially since Naruto already developed half of his power. Also with Naruto seeing 'dead people' every time he needs some major help leads me to believe that he will re-appear again to Naruto when the time comes for Naruto to obtain the full power of the sage.

It's been said that the sage of the six paths was the first ninja to create modern ninjutsu (what ninja uses today in present). It is unknown how he came to this world. Was he born like all humans or is he a product of some demonic intervention (is he half human and half demon). Considering his vast powers I would place my bet on him being half demon or at least have some connection with the juubi (meaning perhaps one of his parents was demon). His powers are able to control bijuu's now maybe he got his bloodline after sealing the juubi into himself, but I remember a information about him meeting the juubi after he started his traveling to spread ninjutsu around the world.

He has the rinnegan the most powerful ocular bloodline that exist.

It seams he got the fully developed rinnegan (both the rinnegan and sharingan) after sealing the juubi into himself) (look closely and if I am nor mistaken in this pic he has both rinnegan and sharingan)

He had or maybe even invented the greatest has power in Naruto world called izanagi. He was literally able to create reality into an illusion and illusion into a reality. He was also able to create thing out of nothing and give them life. This is how he created the nine bijuu's using juubi's chakra.
My theory is that he also left some part of himself within bijuu's when he crated them. Why else would Naruto received his psychical powers when he absorbed the nine tails chakra. He had to sons, it would seam that Naruto is the decanted of the second son (ether by blood or some other way). But it is confirmed that Sasuke and Madara are the decedents of the first son.

One of his powers it seams to be the sealing techiques, it is belived that he created the very first sealing jutsu.

He seams to have some connection with the Uzumaki clan, who were very skilled sealing masters.

It's been proved that Uzumaki's are able to acquire his power (rinnegan eyes), which leads to believe that he had some connection to the Uzumaki's. It is maybe even possible that he was Uzumaki himself (we never hears his name or last name, when Madara refers to him he calls him 'sage of six paths').

There are currently four people who are in possession of his power or some of it...
Madara, Nagato, Danzou, Naruto, Sasuke (he is optional, we don't know if by having EMS you can gain some of sage powers, that's why I didn't numbered him among this four). But to use his power to max level it seams you need power from both sons (Senju and Uchiha), only then will they be capable of using Izanagi without any consequences. Sage was the only who was able so far to use this power without giving anything in return (Danzou had to sacrifice one of his eyes every time he used this. And if I remember he also had the time limit before he can use it again. Also Danzou only had the power to create reality into an illusion).
In reality his powers were so great that on his death bad he was able to extract the juubi from himself and separate it into the nine parts. He did this to save the world, but this also confuses me as to what he thought that by separating one monster into nine would save the world. Wouldn't nine beings destroy world faster then one?

His psychical form was what made me believe that he is in fact half demon or maybe half of something else like gods, angels etc. Why else would he have horns on his head? While Naruto now has horns as well leads me to believe that it was not helmet (for the lack of better word) that he had but those horns were the part of his body.
Also there is about his necklace that to showed on Naruto's new form and I now that necklace was not part of his body. This also may be true about horns not being part of his body, but maybe I am wrong.

Originally this thread was meant for both Sage and Juubi, but because by putting Juubi in the title I would be breaking 'No spoiler rules', I decided to make things this way.

^The Paths of Pain thread can be used for discussion of the various paths of the Rinnegan (I'll even tweak the title a little to either 'Paths of the Sage' or 'Paths of the Rinnegan' if you desire); and the Byakugan, Sharingan & Rinnegan thread is the go to thread for discussions of the Rinnegan and its powers. So, there is no real need for a new thread dedicated to the Rikudou Sennin...yet. Once the anime catches up to some of the current events (467), though, I might reconsider a thread for the anime audience to participate in.

The exception is you can't discuss Naruto or Sasuke because it will quickly turn into flame war and this will became a vs thread. You can discuss all characters in Naruto (Sasuke and Naruto doesn't count), even secondary characters or characters who had small amount of appearance. (like those bodyguards of different kages and characters before that) And yes you can discuss characters from different villages not just Konoha. You can't discus Naruto and Sasuke because it will turn very fast into an vs thread and then there will be flame war about who is stronger and who is right among users. No insulting, flaming and trolling, you can have a debate among each other but just because you don't agree with someones opinion does not mean you can insult them. You can give your opinion/criticism about each character on why do you think that character is overrated or underrated. But you can't compare characters between each other, you can certainly disagree and have discussion about why some member think an x character is overrated when you think he is underrated. Also please don't post ''one line posts'' like I think 'Shikamaru is underrated because he is very smart'. Posts with only one sentence in whole will bring nothing to discussion and this thread will be forgotten or closed very fast. Here is my opinion..... Overrated: *Akatsuki (whole organization): I think akatsuki were made very strong, it's been said that bijuu's are made of chakra and are invincible. Where we see kakuzu and Hidan defeating two tails very fast. I mean Akatsuki sends 2 people for each tailed beast/Jinchuriki, and they to do ok. And most of the Akatsuki teams gets beaten by Konoha later on. Nagato/Pein: He was way overpowered, that's probably why he got killed because his powers were vast. Shikamaru: People always says how smart he is and praise him for this. Yet in my opinion he week, being just smart want help ypu defeat opponents like Madara and other who are power houses. Kakashi: The guy gets praised and respected even by other kage's (raikage), everyone says how strong he is. Yet since late he always needs saving, I can admit he is smart and skilled enough for opponents like Zabuza. But now are different times, where there are much younger and stronger ninja's around, yet they still treat Kakashi like he is strongest (trying to make him into a kage) Underrated:* *Sakura: She had a lot of promise during the beginning of second part, but recently it seams she can't do anything right. It's been hinted that she has a talent for genjutsu and yet even after 500+ chapters still nothing. Orochimaru: The guy was a legend, he was the first to use edo tensei in manga. He could change bodies to became immortal and many other stuff, yet he was defeated by Sasuke very fast. He could have brought much more into the story. Also every bad guy in Naruto got redeemed in the end yet only Orochimaru got to suffer an enternity( good guys into the death god belly don't count). Neji: The guy has great talent and can became one of the most powerful ninja's, yet since second part we haven't seen him truly fight or anything (the fighting against his clone can hardly count). __________________ My Twitter account! As I said you can talk about any character/s?(ninja's, civilians etc.) But you can't talk about Naruto or Sasuke. Meaning you can't say those two need more developing. Otherwise this thread will be became pointless and probably closed. There are many characters in Naruto who needs more developing, including secondary characters and others. Some lost their growth do the lack of screen time. While others are simple forgotten for the lack of the better word. When I say developing I don't mean only on their ninja skills, but also their personality's. Their are many characters who almost have the same personality like in the first part of Naruto. Some had development in ninja skill while they lack personality growth, while those who had some personality growth lack ninja skills. Sakura: While she improved her ninja skills on the beginning on the part2, she didn't have any other skill development. Even trough it's been hinted by Kakashi that she has talent to surpass Tsunade. Spoiler for manga: Her personality also suffered in the last several chapters of manga. She has almost turned like she was in part 1, useless. Kishi said she is the heroine of this story, yet I don't see that, not yet trough, there is still some hope trough. Neji: He was supposed to became something like second rival to Sasuke in the first part do to their bloodlines. While he had almost major character devoloplemnt in part 1. This has been ruined because the lack of screen time he gets. He stayed the same as in part 1 in skills and chraracter development. He is also the one who knows the best to use the byakugan, just for this he needs to get more development, yet he is being ignored. Shikamaru: Even when he shown, it's almost always about his inteligence. His personality hasn't changed much. He still thinks everyone/everything is troublesome. His ninja skill still remaine's the same. This is the problem because we have some characters with new power levels, while he and other's remain the same. This will also limit their screen time in the future. I may be ok with his personality being almost the same, but I would like to see him developing some/more ninja skills. My point is to take requests for thread creatings more into consideration. The point of discussing is that it will eventually and most of the times lead to something that's even worth more then the original thought of the thread creatings. In this particulair case i am referring to most of the manga threads were the discussing in the first couple days or pages are on topic. While the following topics are most of the times certain events that are worth discussing to others. Meanwhile it often becomes unrelated to the concering manga chapter. I know we already have a thread about Bijuu discussion, and while this my new idea will also include bijuu discussion to some level it would mostly refer to their ties to the sage. I believe we have enough information's about the sage to start a thread like this. Also there are four characters (including Naruto) who seams to have obtained sage's power to some levels. His importance to the story is very important, especially since Naruto already developed half of his power. Also with Naruto seeing 'dead people' every time he needs some major help leads me to believe that he will re-appear again to Naruto when the time comes for Naruto to obtain the full power of the sage. Spoiler for OP: [manga] Sage of the Six Paths General Discussion It's been said that the sage of the six paths was the first ninja to create modern ninjutsu (what ninja uses today in present). It is unknown how he came to this world. Was he born like all humans or is he a product of some demonic intervention (is he half human and half demon). Considering his vast powers I would place my bet on him being half demon or at least have some connection with the juubi (meaning perhaps one of his parents was demon). His powers are able to control bijuu's now maybe he got his bloodline after sealing the juubi into himself, but I remember a information about him meeting the juubi after he started his traveling to spread ninjutsu around the world. He has the rinnegan the most powerful ocular bloodline that exist. It seams he got the fully developed rinnegan (both the rinnegan and sharingan) after sealing the juubi into himself) (look closely and if I am nor mistaken in this pic he has both rinnegan and sharingan) He had or maybe even invented the greatest has power in Naruto world called izanagi. He was literally able to create reality into an illusion and illusion into a reality. He was also able to create thing out of nothing and give them life. This is how he created the nine bijuu's using juubi's chakra. My theory is that he also left some part of himself within bijuu's when he crated them. Why else would Naruto received his psychical powers when he absorbed the nine tails chakra. He had to sons, it would seam that Naruto is the decanted of the second son (ether by blood or some other way). But it is confirmed that Sasuke and Madara are the decedents of the first son. One of his powers it seams to be the sealing techiques, it is belived that he created the very first sealing jutsu. He seams to have some connection with the Uzumaki clan, who were very skilled sealing masters. It's been proved that Uzumaki's are able to acquire his power (rinnegan eyes), which leads to believe that he had some connection to the Uzumaki's. It is maybe even possible that he was Uzumaki himself (we never hears his name or last name, when Madara refers to him he calls him 'sage of six paths'). There are currently four people who are in possession of his power or some of it... Madara, Nagato, Danzou, Naruto, Sasuke (he is optional, we don't know if by having EMS you can gain some of sage powers, that's why I didn't numbered him among this four). But to use his power to max level it seams you need power from both sons (Senju and Uchiha), only then will they be capable of using Izanagi without any consequences. Sage was the only who was able so far to use this power without giving anything in return (Danzou had to sacrifice one of his eyes every time he used this. And if I remember he also had the time limit before he can use it again. Also Danzou only had the power to create reality into an illusion). In reality his powers were so great that on his death bad he was able to extract the juubi from himself and separate it into the nine parts. He did this to save the world, but this also confuses me as to what he thought that by separating one monster into nine would save the world. Wouldn't nine beings destroy world faster then one? His psychical form was what made me believe that he is in fact half demon or maybe half of something else like gods, angels etc. Why else would he have horns on his head? While Naruto now has horns as well leads me to believe that it was not helmet (for the lack of better word) that he had but those horns were the part of his body. Also there is about his necklace that to showed on Naruto's new form and I now that necklace was not part of his body. This also may be true about horns not being part of his body, but maybe I am wrong. * Some guidelines that needs to be followed.... So, there is no real need for a new thread dedicated to the Rikudou Sennin...yet. Once the anime catches up to some of the current events (467), though, I might reconsider a thread for the anime audience to participate in.
