Mainichi reports that 70 Japanese nationals are gearing up to head to Europe. 2 are ex-FFL and the rest are former JSDF personnel.

As a FYI, I've seen ex-Japanese FFL soldiers get a lot of praise in Japan, mostly because of combat experience that they use to teach the (mostly) survival gamer community last I checked, although they also teach life-saving skills.

Japanese MOFA said that he preferred if they didn't go to Ukraine.

How countries voted on UN resolution condemning Russia

https://www.axios.com/united-nations...50f01c754.html

Who voted alongside Russia against the resolution? Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea and Syria.

35 abstained, including this russian "allies":

Armenia, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Iran, Cuba, Nicaragua, China, Bolivia, Venezuela, Sudan, Zimbabwe,

India, Pakistan, Iraq & South Africa also abstained.

Voting for the resolution were Hungary and Serbia, seen as the closest allies putin has in Europe. Argentina also voted for the resolution.

At this rate IMO Russia might even be kicked from the UN permanent council member seat they have since WWII.

Not gonna happen.
Do you even know how it works?
It requires a lot of things, including Russia agreeing to remove itself. Good luck with that

You effectively cannot but there are other options. Removing them from the Human Rights council is one, suspending Russian officials from speaking or voting at the UN is another (this will retain as a member).

Regardless, Putin basically has just managed to get his worst case scenario in terms of the European Union actually showing teeth as a whole for maybe the first time in a few generations, and possibly driving the likes of Sweden and Finland into NATO.

Also making threats towards Japan may also be considered a bad move at this point.

With Russia's actions in Ukraine seemingly not going as planned, and reports of the possibility of Martial Law being enacted in Moscow....are we seeing Russia implode itself?

You know shit got real for Japanese when some even reconsider their policies on nuclear weapons, if not their own defense.

As a citizen of the Euro zone, I am waiting for Germany to finally consider building their own aircraft carrier.

Those are usefull for countries like the UK and France, I doubt than it would be a good investment for Germany to get one.

No other media outlet in Singapore covered this, but Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan was asked by a MP if government officials will legally stop Singaporeans from trying to help the Ukrainians by enlisting with the International Legion.

Says that Singaporeans have a duty to defend the country/vital interests and not to fight in other conflict theaters, even if it's reasonable. Balakrishnan said that it's important to maintain good with superpowers and non-superpower countries.

Officially, they frown on it. Not sure if in the case they catch someone going to Ukraine that he or she will be treated with restraining orders.
They will. Going to participate in wars where we are not fighting officially in while not government sanctioned is bad for business

Regarding the Namecheap. As someone working there (though, I am not sure if it still be so, considering I am now in place with no working conditions and plan to move further) I had to add, that while this decision may piss a bunch of innocent people, there are a couple of additional factors here. Majority of companies company support is located in Kharkiv. And our higher ups are actually pissed off with this situation. Same goes for employees. The last push was actually related to the fact that a bunch of former and current staff members asked the CEO for these measures.

There, fixed it for you. The plan is to have the average russian millenial, who probably does not see television and even if he knows english is not interested in foreign affairs to notice something is wrong with putin's goverment.

As for non-russians using russian internet infraestructure, many pirate sites (including those that stream anime) fled to russia. Legit users should be moving outside russia atm imo.

You probably mean the Wagner Group ? There was rumors about its possible appearance, but Wagner is more or less a front for the Russian army when they want to operate somewhere "incognito".
