A Shoujo fantasy from Bones? With Saori Hayami and Ryota Ohsaka as the leads? Those are pretty good on their own, and judging by some reaction it sounds like the source material is quite enjoyable as well so I'll definitely be checking it out .

I'm sure this will be very nice, but I'm just so disappointed that it seems every new shoujo stuff we get is either a sweet fantasy romance or yet another high school romance with all the clichés. :/ (I suppose there's Kuroshitsuji, and Yona which technically has a plot aside of being a fantasy romance.)
There's so much more to shoujo manga than this... why can't we have an adaptation of a shoujo horror manga, or a mystery or a dark fantasy or basically anything that is not cute and and not set in a high school or *gasp* is not a romance... (<- rhetoric question) Last edited by kuromitsu; 2015-02-20 at 04:16. |

Though I don't expect this to be anywhere near as good since that given it's the anime medium meaning it'll have shojo tropes and I don't think it'll have the political intrigue that Dae Jung Geum had (nor the benefit of 1hour x 50+ episodes) it is very pleasant to see this renaissance of shojo adventure stories as of late. This is also by Bones no less, one of my personal favourite studios. |

BONES, Ando, Oshima, and a manga which showed great promise from the first few chapters I read a bunch of months ago. I'm absolutely thrilled. It's gonna be great having the Oshima + Ando combo back too. Can't wait :')

Seeing this announcement made me feel like I'm really welcoming more of the fantasy-based shoujo series since I actually like that kind of genre out of the demographic the best. With SoreSeka already incredible enough, Yona of the Dawn ending up into something positive and Bones doing a okay job at shoujo manga adaptations, making it into a successful series is guaranteed.

Ouran is one of my favorite BONES shows. If the original material is anywhere as good as Ouran, this could be something special.
Is this any fun though? Ouran had me dying of laughter. I don't expect this to be as funny, but it'd be great if this show has good comedy as well. |

I read a few chapters a while back but just couldn't get into it and gave up pretty fast. But I think that's because fantasy world shoujo just never seems to click with me and Studio Pierrot's recent attempts to convince me haven't worked either. But I'm more than willing to let BONES have a shot.
