Everyone should be already despairing as the last episode of the season airs in another day or 2.

And let's save the talk over the possibility of a third season until after the episode airs.

Possibility is low. It is better not to hope because the higher hopes the greater your despair. To look at it from a negative point of view would not bring joy, but perhaps we can convince ourselves that "it is beyond our control" and the despair would not be too great. Otherwise, it might be wise to start checking through your list of people to commit double suicide with and check to see who are free.

Nah, I won't feel any despair when the second season is over. I'll miss it (), but I still have the manga, so not much to despair about.

As long as the manga has unaired chapters, there will be more eps.

Releasing seperate seasons is meant for conserving company cash and the ability to stop airing inconspicuously and run away with what money they have left right when the show goes dry, in the usually unlikely situation that it does.

What we need is a soft landing. So rather than the last episode we will get decreasing minutes of Zetsubou, eg. Ep 13 will be 2 parts, and Ep 13.1 will be the last part.

We should really pull together and translate the manga. I'll serve as an editor.

Just finished watch anon's ep 7. That was definitely the funniest episode of the show.

Did anyone catch the reference to Urasawa's Monster @ 13:01?

And Kaede was hilarious this episode. "On mother's day, I wake up early and present fresh chicken blood to an altar." LOL

I don't recall since it's been a while since I saw the first season, but wasn't she introduced as an American? Now it seems like she's from some country where they eat quad-decker fish burgers, turkey birthday cakes, and pocky sticks dipped in pig brains. Maybe the writers could be alluding to some kind of crazily exaggerated violent American stereotype.

Speaking as a totally entrenched Asian, I can definitely agree with Kaede. Some Asian food tends to lack that oomph of American food in general.

Yes, really, I misread, gomen. Maybe it's the crack from lurking in the Genderben thread.

Exclamation

I've only looked through ep.5 bei RiS.
Major critique point would be the encoding quality. They produced a 200MB file whit a quality worse than those 100MB files bei anon. You see mpeg artefacts all the time and the sound also isn't that great.
The subtitles looked good as far as I could see, screen text wasn't translated like in anon's version.
I'm really glad a new group formed and picked up this great series, but please do something about the encoding quality!

American food have "umph"? could've fooled me... american foods are usually so bland, usually just throw some salt, pepper and maybe some kinda condiment on top to try and salvage the blandness...

Loved the ending.

They can definitely go 3rd season with this.

I hope so!

And if they will, I want more randomness, more crazyness, more CRACK (with some emoesque tiberium-poisoned CRACK).

And more-more-more-more screentime for Kiri. Maybe a whole show about Kiri. (Genderbent NHK ni Youkoso?)

Final episode ED

I didn't really pay close attention to last week's OP. I remember it was in color, but I don't remember the spotlights on Kaere and her solo dancing. I could have just not been paying attention though.
