Besides the studio in charge, the team behind Is This A Zombie? (the director worked on Tokyo Ravens) is working on this.
Personally I think DEEN was fine outside of giving a few of all VN adaptations they made a bad name. There's worse studios than them quality-wise, I'm sure they could deliver with entertaining moments.

So, does this mark the beginning of "Reincarnated/Reborn in fantasy world with harem" trend that majority of the recent translated webnovels have been all about? which means i won't be happy since their authors in the end are still using the same old stuff from the harem school fantasy.

But damn studio DEEN... that's never a good thing... but let's see how they handle it... I can't remember them doing any comedy shows yet.

I wouldn't call Sankarea "comedy" though. It's lacking the "energy" for that, IMO and I only read its manga, but didn't watch the anime. Kore wa Zombie doesn't really interest me at all. Those are adaptions that for me personally only have mid-tier source material, or I have no interest in at all. Kono Subarashi however I liked very much, so I wonder how DEEN will adapt it. At least there is no possibility of screwing up the story, because it wouldn't matter much in this series, unlike the "serious" stuff they adapted, escpacially VNs like Umineko or F/sn (2006).

BTW, don't be fooled by Sankarea's comedy tag. It's technically a romantic comedy with serious themes and on occasion, it plays more like a tragedy. As for this show, I might try it if the season is not too packed with shows I'm watching.

Deen might (or might not) be problem, but don't badmouth premise! Gifting is more of lighthearted parody of all these terribad "transport into other world" stories. And I very doubt there will be more funny show of winter season than this one.

The art isn't that great but... it's A-Okay.... thought the skirt is too short but still no pantsu? even if there is a second see-through layer.
I'll probably still watched this when I don't have much things to do.
