I think J-Novel Club's synopsis of the premise is much more accurate.

First ep was pretty enjoyable. Nothing particularly new, but still fun. It was kind of cool to have them completely erase any and all responsibility for the guy by basically making it so that simply by being reincarnated and letting the gods tap into the vast amounts of magic on Earth he's already done more than enough. I sort of wonder how the relationship with the girl will be handled. She's clearly the same age as him. I'd be quite happy for him to recognize that he really is eleven now and thus embrace the friendship as well as the romance when/if it goes in that direction, but considering what I've seen in recent series I imagine this's kind of doubtful. And if he does, I'm sure some jerks are going to complain, as if he has a responsibility to do absolutely nothing, letting all kinds of opportunities pass him by and likely missing the chance at laying the groundwork for a real future with her until they're both completely grown up, at which point it'll probably be too late.

First two episodes are warm & fuzzy even though the "isekai power fantasy" is still strong with this anime:
All in all, these two episodes are just slow & sweet. Watch them if you just want to relax & kick back.

Only three times really stood out to me. The "big" slime bit(which was pointless), the alchemy bit, and the block thing. The slimes came from his obsessive study of them and the alchemy was a combination of old world knowledge and god given cheat-sheet so not quite as bad. But the block thing was just there to give him a chance to show off. |

While the first episode was ok, but i wouldn't call the second episode as being "slow" type, considering the amount of plot stuff it skipped even compared to the Manga (which is already a compressed version of the Light Novel).

As far as the OP matter goes, personally I think the cause and reasoning matters more to me. In Smartphone, the power was 100% because God made him that way; I enjoy the show but it's really a rather dull way to make someone strong. With Shin, his power was entirely built over years of training and improvisation, and it's firmly established that he's really not unusual at all: his friends are quickly catching up, as many people could if they used the same training regimen and had the advantage of unique knowledge. Unlike a lot of people, I found the power aspect of that series to be very good and unique in its choice to allow others to rise to comparable levels. This one is somewhere in between with the guy gaining mediocre power from the gods (clearly established that nothing he has is that far out there) but becoming incredibly well-known simply because he obsessed on slimes. It kind of makes sense that people wouldn't know that much about slimes since they're really not impressive and most people just go to something else, but the degree of ignorance is a little bit of a stretch.
On a different note, I was surprised that they dumped the clumsy speech so quickly (for reference, I've read the earliest parts of the LN and he should still be stumbling over his words through most if not all of this episode at least). Also, I find it kind of odd that he finds it OK to tell ladies about scavenger slimes, which evolve by eating crap (funnily appropriate that they'd be brown), but not about cleaner slimes that evolve by eating sweat and dirt. |

I'd probably will always have a small issue with reincarnated kids who still had their memories of a previous world having a crush on girls that are around the same age as them, sure their new bodies are that of a child but their brains are mostly that of an adult so the situation will always be kinda iffy for me.
Anyway you can summon carriages in this world, which is essentially item teleportation, but you can't teleport humans huh, ok. You'd think cleaner slimes will be more common around towns since they're attracted to water containing sweat, which in the wild will be kinda rare since wild animals don't really sweat, but these people said that they've never heard of cleaner slimes before, isn't that kinda inconsistent? Same with scavenger slimes, assuming this is a medieval world the streets should be full of scavenger slimes since people would've thrown excrement on the streets.

They can't telepor "carriage". I think it's pretty obvious it was just application of "hammer space". Ie it store things and advanced version living beings. I am almost certain there will be actual teleportatin in future though.
Also It's pretty nonsense assume there are cities allowing untamed monsters (even if it's slimes) wander on streets and town closes proximity. Not to mention people in middle age did NOT threw excrement on the streets. They had thing called hygiene even at that point of history.

Even if they had relatively modern sanitation standards the slimes would still be attracted by the large concentration of sewage and trash that a large town would produce, but nobody had encountered these types of slime before? really? Unless of course this is like the harry potter world where people just make their poop disappear by magic

Of course they wouldn't. Sewage would lead directly to river or sea where it would get diluted and dissipated. Slimes also don't seems to be "attracted" to anything in particular. They just adapt to first thing they encounter and it seems once they gain attribute they pass it to next generation created by splitting (which doesn't explain where "pure" slimes came from so if you want pick something that doesn't make sense it's this).
Chances pure slimes would somehow managed travel all the way from forest, jumped above fortification around city (which would be necessity around any settlement in walking distance of monster habitat) and infiltrated sewage without being neither exterminated nor contaminated by anything else is pretty slim.

well after read the manga without going to spoiler i would say be ready because you gonna see it really a lot here, it's almost a running gag or how awesome strong is the mc or most important how "awesome kind" is the mc, this serie is a lot of "self indulging it's fell almost like he is a god and not because he is "overpowered" but how peoples keep "praising him" almost like followers, because he is "so kind" and pure", is more about him being kind and pure and big heart than "overpowered, everyone spoiler too much the mc even the gods threatens like he is the most important person in they lifes.

Not to mention, if the problem is that he's really much older when you add his past life, I'd have to wonder what you do with Arisa from Death March, whose current body is eleven, making her even younger than the MC's new body, but is really much older than his original. Now, of course, there are other reasons above merely her present body being too young to reject that one, but still it shows the problem with reincarnated ages. |
