Silent Hill Movie

Why is it that the town seems obscure, ashy and no sunlight like Rose seems to be dead while her husband and the guy officer is at the same town at the same time, and it is normal, sunny and no creatures??? Also why is it sunny at the home when the guy is sleeping and when at the same time, Rose arrives at the home and it is ashy and dark.

No cheezy. Well actualy some part of the dialogues sucked like none imo, but the story/direction/design was all good.

A movie I would definitly recommend.

Yeah, pretty stupid how they changed it to a female. Because of that, I heard that they were told to put in a male character seeing as how it was all women. And thus..that is how Sean Bean's pretty useless character came into existence. He would make a cool James from Silent Hill 2 though .

I thought it was a great movie.
The portrayed the way the town was and the creepiness factor of the game quite well. Yea, they made a few changes, but to get a decent movie--you have to.

They didn't change the basic story though. Although I liked the fact it was Rose's mother instead of her father. It made it more of a mother's fight for her daughter.

I think it was done well and I would definately recommend the movie.

They got the coloring for the town right, the sounds and they did quite well with portraying all the nightmare places.

I haven't seen the movie yet. Did they also have that nightmare side of Silent Hill?

Yes they made the nightmare side to the place.
It was quite well done.
All the creepy noises and such--they conveyed it nicely.

Yeah the dark comming was pretty impressive. Which makes me introduce to the conversation the huge sword demon. The one that rip-off flesh..
A incredibly well design character I haven't hesitated to call my favorite character of the movie.

Still, I have no idea who it is exactly and if I remember well the movie doesn't explain who he was before the burning like it did for the Janitor. His background. How is he linked to the little girl? Well I haven't played the game so I thought some you guys that did might know??

Heck yea, they creep the heck out of me. But they had a different weapon in the game. But hey the sword they had in the movie reminded me of Ichigo's.

As for how it works, they are in a different "world" or dimension, so though some things can translate over (like opening the door), they are not in the same "world" as the father.

That movie was well done IMO, at a couple points I thought the actors did a poor job, especially the little girl, but otherwise wasn't to bad.

What is the significant of Rose's declined credit card? I have been wondering why.

Sean Bean did it in a feeble attempt to stop her. He didn't want her to go to Silent Hill.

Hahah the town was shot in my downtown. Brantford Ontario Canada. It's pretty funny to see your own home city in a movie, all done up. And when he talks about the barber shop.

I loved this movie, I thought the monsters were done extremely well!
