I'm playing flyff now. It isn't bad, and is free. There are quite a few bugs and tech support is pretty hit and miss, but hey, it's free. If you want to start a character, they're having a 2x exp event this weekend, so it would be a good time.

Guild Wars
World Of Warcraft. Both are well known, but I Just thought I would point out that if you find you dont like one you will love the other. Also note that instead of realizing that both games are drastically differant, WoW fans think everyone who plays guild wars is a loser, and Guild wars fans thinks everyone who plays wow is a "Scrub who cant understand the meaning of metagame". |

Lineage 2 is the 2nd most played MMORPG If I remember right, but I wouldn't advise you not to play it, because the level grind is insane. If you learn how to bot it should be ok though. xD This is by far one of the best PvP game. The problem is the community kinda died all the cool people quit. xD Eve online suffers from the same problem dunno if that's still the case though. I though EVE rocked, but later the community and server politics also became boring. With these games the fun is based on the community.
BTW GW isn't really a MMO if it was I would've liked it. xD They just had to make it free 2 play which is a shame. I got bored with WoW fast, because the PvP gets boring fast. PvP starts to feel like grinding. The language barier thing doesn't help. The whole faction based pvp isn't to my liking. Also a lack of raids in pvp situation like Castle sieges. Raiding mobs didn't really spark my intrest. It may seem I bashing WoW and GW, but I still think they are a whole lot better then all those other MMO's they just aren't worth mentioning. |

Darkeden. I first played this in 2000 and haven't got over it since. If you're Japanese, go here.
If you're anything else, play Darkeden FS (open the same link and go up by one level and click on the FS subforum link). Ultima Online. I used to be a co-admin of the Crystalgate server but i haven't played for about 5 years for now. The game itself is very good and i heard that they were going to get a massive update this summer. Helbreath. Im still playing it and i started when it came out (i think it was the fall of '99). Though i have been switching servers and i usually play about 2 weeks in every server, then taking a pause for 2-3 months. The first version, the International version i played for 3 years in a row. Helbreath, for me, never gets old. |

I played Tibia on the n00bs playground (till level eight) and then got out. When I got out, I stopped playing the game. It gets too intimidating XD
Oh, and Silkroad Online sucks. I mean it provides great eye-candy, but it is the most repetitive stuff I've ever come by. "Get me 10 rabbit paws" "Fetch 30 ogre toes" and so on. |
