Moyashimon Counterpart
Just finished watching this series, and I have to say that it is definitely one of my all time favorites. I hope to god that it will get a second season! So I was wondering if there is another series that resembles it. I don't mean it has to be about microbes and the main character has to have some special ability. I just want the same seinen/college atmosphere with the not too light, but not too hardcore comedy.
And I'll say I've already seen Honey and Clover, just to save some energy of those who will recommend it. btw you can suggest mangas as well.

Nodame Cantabile is an excellent comedy with the academic atmosphere of Moyashimon, but much less fanservice and more conventional humor. You won't see any equivalents of the Kiviak scene, for instance.
It's another Noitamina series, by the way.
