The ending to the angel arc was sure something. I mean Heat and Alzeid was just coldblooded in the way they chopped off that guy's arm and left him to drown Lucky for Rahzel that they love her so much XD (But that guy deserved it ~ ^^).

And "Dee" is a nutcase. Rahzel sure handed his ass to him but the sly bugger used Jelice as a shield...dam him >_<

And I sooo knew that the drink was drugged...typical...but here is a surprise, the mysterious red haired guy (whose name I still can't remember) saved Rahzel and talked about the data on the drug. Seems like he is developing some crazy drugs to give everyone magical powers, I wonder why...

Here's something else that is interesting. Jelice really cared for misette and has overlooked her case for 8 years...I wonder why he didn't offer a helping hand if he cared for her so. Perhaps he only met her again 8 years later...anyway, it is still a tragic case...

The mysterious young man is apparently lending Rahzel to Alzeid...that sounds bad...

Heat had the nerves to tell Alzeid, Rahzel's secret XD But it is understandable that he want to help Rahzel in forgetting her pains, I'm sure she would also appreciate it (even if it means Heat gets whacked first XD).

Rahzel's dream was really sad too. That should be his father after she was picked up from the woods. I believe this is the scene were she recovers her memories lost due to the bastard guy. Despite how poorly I think of Rahzel's father for dumping her out, he does love her as his daughter.

The scene where Rahzel wakes up to find The two of them holding her hands were so cute.

In volume 8 (and 5) Alzeid's brother says that Rahzel smells like "Big Sister." Kiara tells him she is "Big Sister." This can be interpreted a few ways:

1. Rahzel is a clone like LKK thinks, and he's just keeping things simple when he explains things to Alzeid's brother.
2. Kiara sees in Rahzel the potential to become a "replacement" Natsume, and wants Alzeid's brother to treat her as Natsume.
3. Or Rahzel actually is Natsume and Kiara knows this and is making sure she becomes Natsume...
4. And maybe Kiara is doing everything at Natsume's wish (possibly without knowing it).

There are so many possibilities, but it's hard to account for all of Kiara's cryptic statements.

I think that Rhazel eventually find out the truth, and she acts accordingly to maintain the flow of history. Because if she acts otherwise, she might end up never meeting Alzeid and Baroque Heat. So basically, she does it to keep the loop intact, which equals to keep her death the way it is. Though, knowing Rhazel's personality, she wouldn't let things off this easily knowing Kiara is pulling all the string. If Natsume=Rhazel is true, she is so going to pop out again after the loop is complete and get even with Kiara.

Spoiler for Theory on Natsume and Second (probably safe to read if you've read up to volume 7):

Sorry, I got a little ahead of myself in that post up above. I realize now that I'd never discussed this theory before.

We learn early on that Alzeid believes his dad was killed by a woman with black hair and blue eyes.

Later, we learn that Baroqueheat's family member Natsume had black hair and blue eyes, and later we learn that Baroqueheat and his other family members, and everyone else in Prometheus, believe she was killed by Second.

However, Second never let Natsume's family bury her body, so is there proof she's really dead? (Though Baroqueheat is darn sure she's dead.) The people in Prometheus also are very doubtful that Second could ever have been killed (though we see in Alzeid's flashback that he was shot in the head, lying in a pool of blood)—is there any proof he's really dead either?

In the first chapter of the series, Rahzel says her father told her that flying through space-time was impossible. We see Alzeid teleport immediately thereafter, proving that teleporting through space is possible. In physics, space and time are connected, such that time is thought of as the fourth dimension, and things like wormholes can easily connect different points in time as well as different points in space. But anyway, if half of the impossible thing is actually possible, is the other half?

Volume 5 also suggests the possibility that time travel has happened. Longhaired-Alzeid tells Rahzel that they used to take baths together but that she hadn't done it yet. Now, he could be confused (because of what Kiara tells him in volume 8), or he could be right.

My theory is that Second and Natsume faked their own deaths. Possibly in order to get away from the Prometheus drama. And to make sure they would never be found, they traveled through time to really get away from it all. Did they go forward or backward? That i do not theorize.

Though it's also possible that they faked their deaths without resorting to time travel. And the question as to why they decided they had to take such drastic measures is a huge one.

Spoiler for Niu's theory of Rahzel's and Natsume's connection:

But the previous theory I've just enumerated is independent of Niu's theory that Rahzel grows up to be Natsume. If that turns out to be true, that makes the motivations for faking their deaths in some ways simpler but in some ways more complicated. You start getting closed-loop causality paradoxes.

Exactly. They disappear and fake their death to maintain that close loop. Since their fake death is basically what motivated rest of the series' plot. So they have to disappear to keep the history the way it is. The bigger question would be, what they are going to do after Rhazel got sent back to the past. Once Rhazel gets sent back, the loop is maintained and they can come out of hiding, what they are going to do then?? Pay back time to Kiara is my first guess here.

Okay. So. I just went through the may issue of Zero-Sum comics. (the manga magazine that Hatenkou Tugi is being serialized in) And our Hatenkou Yugi material for the month?

Six.

Measly.

Pages.

With one of those six being the chapter title page, and another being an ad for the manga anthology. >.>

So we get a grand total of 4 pages this month for Hatnekou Yugi, called "Chapter 83.5". And nothing even really happened in those 4 pages.

What a cop-out.

Longhaired Alzeid gets Baroqueheat by himself and starts speaking kanji to him. Longhaired Alzeid never uses kanji—he always talks in hiragana, an indication of his childlike speech. That he all of a sudden starts using a bunch of kanji in this chapter is extremely significant! (I just don't know what the significance is, but I'm burning to find out.)

Indeed, and well after "nearly" finishing volume 5, I would have taken out the albino girl arc and put in Jelice instead. Not bias at all towards Jelice mind you *nods*

Here are my thoughts for Vol 5 so far. BTW, I should mention that the girl on the back cover of this volume is HOT!...

Anyway, there were some minor changes in the albino girl arc...the one that I found most funny (and too bad was taken out in the anime) is the scene where Alzeid guesses that Rahzel fell down a cliff and was being molested by heat (classic ^^).

The inbetween chapter was also very very funny. I just loved the way Rahzel teased Alzeid about her fragrant bathing style. She did such a funny thing by giving Alzeid a bubble bath that the watching him sulk was hilarious. Heat then joining in was something classic. Oh and not to mention the "HELP DON'T EAT ME!!" part...genius I say

The next chapter is completely new too me but it didn't disappoint. At last we begin to hear Heat's side of the story...yar, I bet Rahzel was surprised the way Heat was smartly dressed to turn out to be a mourning suit of some sort. The woman who was murdered and never found...well I was spoilted by LKK so there wasn't much shock there

Then some guy trying to kill himself who was saved by Rahzel...dam she went mouth to mouth ;___;

Bran coming back with another lovely entrance (showing her love and care towards Heat).

But she somehow shows more "love" towards Alzeid than anything else. I just loved the scene where Alzeid cocked his gun when he was ignored. Soo funny ^^ It was also surprising that Rahzel said such embarrassing stuff about Heat.

I say though, this chapter is one of the funniest looking back...especially with Heat's reaction on her sister's comment about having someone to eat with...pure evil aura XD

...but now that it is way past my bedtime, I should stop here for the moment and go to sleep (and dread another day of school T_T).

Oh right, yes...Heat's flashback was quite touching...their sister is beautiful, I can guess why her disappearance caused the family to split...such a sad story ;___;

The spicy brat the Rahzel saved has some attitude though...I rofled at Heat kicking some sense into him XD

Alzeid becoming jealous that Heat and Rahzel have been keeping secrets...I don't know whether to call that cute or immature But it was a funny scene when he bumped into the spicy brat. Gun to the head + silly questions XD

The next chapter starting with Heat's hair salon was hilarious yet again. The spicy brat actually looks pretty good with short hair. But for Alzeid, he doesn't like people touching his hair

And the scene where he offered to change the shape of Heat's face...I fell off my chair...

But serious stuff coming up next. It seems like the bratty kid's father is a complete jerk who like to smooth talk. But he is doing a pretty big favor for a stranger, being his son's friend or not.

At the end of the chapter we see the mysterious young guy again...now revealed to be called Kiara. And the cold blooded kid who kills people...Alzeid...

Ok since apparently Im in a race with Killz in reading this I finished vol 4 since I obviously need to get vol 5 now

Highlights from vol 4:
-As with Killz, I can NEVER remember the red-haired guys name, I dont know why either but it was nice to see him again...nice in a wow you just stabbed that guy way
-Jelice you are made of win
-Sheesh what a backstory! Heat is gonna die when Raz finds out he told Al
-Dream...ok though I didnt finish the anime but there was much talk about epi 10...dream made me think of what was being talked about since I dont quite remember Ill wait but I think my synapses are connecting XD
-Welcome home: AWWWWWWW T___T
-AHHHH creepy circus again!! Ugh that ending part made me want to scream....
-Another albino??? Awww Al is being....nice??? His little backstory is now nawing at my mind...me thinks I need to go get vol 5 now since of course 4 ends on a cliffhanger...
-Also Raz informing the "readers" that Al got them lost...I laughed out loud.

Volume 6 and 3 chapters in

Finishing volume 5, We see the other Alzeid meeting Rahzel. Now that was a sweet scene. It is hard to think that such a cold blooded killer is so "innocent" O.o And she wants Rahzel...good thing though, it seems like he absolutely hates Kiara (yay! I remember his name!).

Alzeid doesn't believe her and proceeds to sniff her scent (rofls at what Heat tries to do XD). Rayborn trying to play twisted with Alzeid was also lol ^^

But the fun and games doesn't last very long when the land on the island (or whatever the place is). Heat meets kiara and is given some brotherly love. Kiara is evil throwing those keys away XD But isn't it surprising that so far, all of Heat's older siblings look younger than him...I wonder if there is a fault in his genes making him the black sheep of the family

The upcomming fight scenes were pretty awesome and it introduces two new characters (sorry, can't remember their names off the top of my head ^^).

Volume 6 ~

Alzeid is in an awful condition now (and it is quite heartbreaking to see him like this). Rahzel is quite caring and even tries to look on the bright side. The scene with the bear bag...finally haha ^^

But jokes aside, the serious feelings to come were quite thought provoking.

Alzeid seems to still want to be quite a loner even though we know that those aren't his true feelings. He wants Rahzel to go save Rayborn but she can't without taking care of Alzeid.

Alzeid was quite harsh in trying to put her off...this line especially gave me the bumps;

"I'm sorry I'm half assed, now just get lost! I don't want your sympathy! You don't know anything about me!"

But Rahzel never gives up ;____;

But there is also some heavy overshadowing of the future, it seems like the angel text drug is already making her powers srtonger...I hope she doesn't become a monster ;___;

Rayborn on the other hand is having a fun time stalling. The female Assassin is very funny when annoyed
