I can't see that she suddenly had an epiphany and realised life was worth living after Lelouch's death. If anything she would crumble. I would think that after all this suffering and war she decided to continue to live in remembrance of Lelouch's dream. It would be almost an insult for her to take her life in a world that two boys worked so hard to create and sacrificed themselves to do so.

My two cents.

Amusing is it not?

A long time ago she stood by watching two boys playing in a field in Japan.

8 years later those two boys took control of the most powerful country in the world and sacrificed themselves to recreate it into a more gentle world.

If I was CC I'd consider it an honor to observe such an act. It's not like you see one every dynasty.

Well if her name does start with a 'C', it wouldn't make sense if she were German, because we usually only use 'K's for everything^^, especially in the past.

Clara(E)=Klara(G)
Catherine=Katharina (for example)

Maybe France? Or Holland??
Maybe her name doesn't even start with a 'C'...though her dress does look a bit like a dirndl (German dress) :/

Lelouch wanted her to smile (be happy), atleast that's how I took his line "atleast smile as you die". If her happiness lies in the abyss of death as an escape from mortal world where she no longer can find even a glipse of happiness (in case you assume Lelouch is death).
I'm quite sure Lelouch would've approved that instead of letting her suffer.

I'm not quite sure if this has been issued yet, but after watching Code Geass I had an feeling with the lonesome picture of C.C alongside epilogue that this series was in the end about C.C.
It's not a fact but this is how I felt it in the end - This was a tiny slice of history of a certain Era and and a tiny part of C.C's life. Even though it involved much more than C.C herself, (Lelouch as main character for example), This series started with C.C (Lelouch got his geass) and ended with her gazing into a distance.
Maybe we've been tricked, a slice of life about C.C?!?

That's so how I would imagine it with just the start up,
reminds me of Horo and Lawrence, I guess every one, who has watched the series, actually get this feeling
If only we got that as an episode, but meh...

That drama cd is crack, here are some other parts {CCxLulu} {again thanks to kitsune from LJ}

Spoiler for R2 Sound Episode #4 Drama:

Setting is a Hamburger restaurant, where Lelouch is working part-time, a job attributed by Rivalz, the job coordinator of Ashford. Lelouch complains a little because it's Viletta sensei's punishment for him to have him work here.
Rivals encourages him to try smiling a little. Lelouch is all enthusiastic because he rehearsed that in front of the mirror and demonstrates. Rivalz shivers.
Female customers enter, Lelouch knows all their data already. He deals pretty well with them Rivalz seems to think. But it appears Lelouch abuses of his charm with the ladies to make them order ("Pheromon poison" Rivalz calls it XDDD)
Lelouch is proud of himself (and the girls have surely fainted by now).

Suddenly CC enters and Lelouch is troubled, Rivalz inquire whether they know each other. CC switches subject and orders a chorizo pizza {which sounded like "Chorisu". I shouldn't translate this right after G00}. Lelouch gets angry, explaining that this is a hamburger restaurant, and she shouldn't bother him at work.
CC uses he condescending tone and complains because this restaurant doesn't have anything she orders and the bantering turns into a fight and Rivalz tries to stop him because it'll get Lelouch fired.
