I feel like the main reason it didn't have as much impact was because there really wasn't as much buildup to it. They skipped the various scenes that made that scene powerful. However, they still left that scene in, so while it didn't have as much impact, it was still a pretty good addition.

I liked this episode, lots of stuff going on and tying up some things and opening new ones. Ed's drawing of the panda, was hilarious. why do they keep calling it a cat or a bearcat though? I didn't recognize the guy in the white suit from the opening as Kimbly for some reason I though it was Pride. I like the trick he played on the guard, And lastly I was way off on Dr. Knox's family.

Bear Cat is what the chinese call the Giant Panda.

Hah! Seeing him alone like that on his couch after everyone left had me believe one of the homunculli would spring from out of nowhere and do him in. Amazing that he had a happy ending instead. A rare moment in FMA.

I thought it was because Amestris is supposed to correspond to Germany. And since they haven't seen pandas ever, they would call it a strange cat.

But referring to Fuery as his pawn was kinda demeaning.

This is exactly why. It's meant to be a joke that no one realizes it's not really a cat.

Well he names each of them after a chess piece so a pawn was the only one left for Fuery. Plus a pawn can become as important as a queen in the game if played right.

Gah Kimblee in that white suit, oh I had a little moment! He does kinda look like Ling a bit, mostly due to the hair.

The scene with Knox's son was nice, BONES could have easily cut that out and they didnt, it made everything seem more real I think.

Loved the chess board scene, of course Hawkeye is the queen

When Kimblee is calling Envy nasty, all I could think of saying is...Pot.Kettle.Black

Episode XXXI: A Promise Made of 520 Cenz

This episode felt slow but brought a pleasant surge within me.

Spoiler:

Dr. Nox had a sour and unpleasant past with his previous occupation, but he took happiness at heart realizing that he's still a doctor who can save lives and cure patients.

And here we have things moving up again....
Spoiler:

So now looks like Scar and co. are moving to the North, and so our boys as well.
