Yea, agreed, it's not supposed to act as a power boost.

Also, even though the title has "Himari" in it, the real point is supposed to be the coming of age of Yuuto, and we need some development for him. I don't really like the direction the anime is going in.

Despite the fact that I don't really like Rinko, she's been reduced to a character saying only 3-4 lines per ep. (I am not surprised if later I go, "Who's Rinko again?)

But hopefully the end would be conclusive enough to end all hope for a season 2.

Never said it was. The key thing there is that Ageha and Kuesu were scared sh*tless against her. The fact a twig stopped Himari shows it wasn't the power, but rather that deadly intent coming out of her. I suppose you guys never had an fierce animal charge at you before? I have, and I'll tell you one thing: I ran for my life (and still got mauled

).

Remember, this isn't the manga. Who knows what the anime will come up with next...

Well, it has the name of "Himari" (of the main character), but it's not supposed to revolve too much around her.

I am just a bit worried that the anime may change how Matra Milan's ideas for his manga.

Also, I forgot to include this in the prev. post. But I think it's essential that we have a bit more Rinko because of this reason:
Rinko serves as a link to the normal life that he once had.

Kuesu (early at least) serves as an indication of what will happen had Yuuto went too far with the ideals of the demon slayer

I doubt the anime would change his ideas for the manga......after all it's obviously diverged enough from it that they might as well be seperate continuities.

Yes, they are all important in their own way. I guess the anime writers forgot that or just didn't understand when they read the manga.

On a side note, I am reading the manga again and am finding more differences as I read, naturally. I do have to say, the eye catches should have been the covers from some of these chapters....

Lol, to me. Those covers are MUCH better than the anime eyecatches.

Actually Omamori Himari manga is more popular than SnO manga, both in Japan and in internet.

I hope they consulted that ending with Matra and there is a chance for S2, or much better OVA's. The level of fanservice in OH make it more suited for OVA than TV series in the first place.

Let's wait and see how DVD's sell.

The second half was just terrible, especially when Himari... transformed?! Eh... Douji was as weak as crap, we don't know what happens to Kuesu's servant, Tama joined the harem randomly, etc. It was hard not to laugh when the characters started explaining the effects of Yuuto's hikari-watashi... How does Rinko even know about that? First time I heard Hirakawa sing... As expected of someone who appears in otome games, I guess? Anyways, really good song. But all in all, it was probably one of the more stable series in this season of anime. Very average, in every part. Though maybe the animation is pretty good. So, 7/10. No Rinko's ribbon story... (´・ω・｀) I wished this would get as popular as Sora no Otoshimono, but as expected, it didn't even come close... The results were obvious already by comparison of the original source, anyways.
