Yuuko had a close experience, but she didn't die. If she did, some condolences would have probably been made during that episode. But regardless she is positioned as a side character with little interaction to the main story or the protagonist, so it's understandable that people would not be as upset about her fate. Regarding Murano versus Kana... it's more of the usual shipping deals.

Well in Kana's defense, Yuuko's source of information was a lot more reliable and she had first hand experience that strongly suggested that Hideo wasn't human.
Kana never had any proof that such creatures existed, and let's be honest, you wouldn't believe that anymore than the many UFO sightings claims. She still did something stupid, but that's a whole different level of stupidity if you ask me. She never actually thought that it would be a good idea to meet a man-eating alien creature alone and tell it that she knew what it was, while being full aware that it was trying to blend in human society.

More like it's the fault of the writer who suddenly forgot that when a guy can leap seawalls and from tall buildings and punch through walls (and bodies) all on his own, he doesn't really need his hand-monster to show someone that he's pretty damn likely not just making up stories about some crazy stuff going on.

ep 12
As sad as her death was, it didn't really hit very hard personally. Partly because it so heavily foreshadowed that Kana was living on borrowed time because of her power it ended up dulling the impact a bit. The other being that she just wasn't around long enough for me to grow as attached. The it effect on Shinichi and more over Mitsuo is really what got to me. Certainly wasn't the greatest guy in world, the fact he did genuinely care about was hearten to see.
Actually, I'm myself thought he was going to be caught near the crime once that happen at first, which would have led to the government suspect him. But it doesn't like they will pursuing at all. |

I think Migi could have saved Kana, but decided not to. That would be just like him. There would be nothing to gain for him, but he would have to take risks just like when he was saving Shinichi. Also, she's the only other human who was aware of Migi's existence.

To me it felt like he just said that to comfort Shinichi. Quote:

just marathoned the whole eps up to 12, kana look super cute compared to the manga's version, and her voice is soo sexy, she is gone now I know it gonna happen anyway but it sucks.
Murano is just boring as hell, she is way too 2 dimensional. |

When she died I was like "she's gonna die, shes gonna die. Oh look I was right, finally". I do think migi could've saved her but now there's no more love triangle, good. Now don't bring in that girl he met visiting his dad to make it a triangle again

I can't believe how stupid some of the female characters are in this series. Kana stop lying to yourself, you've already proven you can't detect Izumi alone and see where it gets you. I get that she's in love with him but maaaaannnnnnnnn.
I will say Im impressed that this series does actually kill people off and doesnt do the last second "save". Quote:

I just watched the whole thing. It's been great.
I wish though that Kana didn't die. However, it makes sense thematically because Kana can't really help Izumi remember who he was before the parasite thing since she didn't know who he was back then. The way the series is going that seems like it will become a big theme and as such that's why Murano has to be the girl who is important to Izumi in my opinion. |

Most of it has been pretty great, but omission of the wise-cracking tease from Murano's character has made her bland and boring. Scenes like her fake pouting face and "uh-huh" "sure sure" while Shinichi made excuses about seeing Kana was really great, and gave her character depths. I don't know why they insist on removing everything that was interesting about the girl.

A battle with the Parasyte group seems inevitable for Shinichi. It's just a matter of when.
Migi is really putting Shinichi in a bind right now. It's almost like a possessive girlfriend, where he is not allowed to be with another girl and develop a deep meaningful relationship. Losing Murano will probably destroy any humanity he has left. Also, Yuuko is back to her annoying self, this time further dividing Murano and Shinichi with her suspicions. Is this the beginning of further problems Yuuko is going to cause Shinichi (ok, she actually started providing problems with everyone with her initial idiotic move with handsome parasyte). Actually, she is such a damn hypocrite. She questions Shinichi for not being more emotional or emotionally depressed, but when she got all her classmates killed with her reckless actions, she seemed quite energetic and happy afterwards, feeling no sense of responsibility. I wonder if there will be some way that Shinichi can convince Migi that telling Murano is the right thing to do? Oh, I almost forgot about Ryouko's baby. That was so unnatural that she can just tell her baby to shut-up, and the baby just automatically quiets down. I'm beginning to think that the baby might have parasyte tiny parts in its body as well. Also, how long has this been? Did the pregnancy actually go to full term of 9 months and then some? It would mean the series has been about a year since Shinichi got Migi.
