after this last ep, if anyone still hates Diana, they're something wrong with threm.
Life has taken every dream she ever had away from her. That stoic exterior has to be hiding a broken girl. Yes, she's a brilliant Witch and the Ace of Luna Nova with knowledge even they don't have. But: She Lost her parents. Lost her delight in Chariot Her mother's deathbed wish was for Diana to unlock the Words and revive magic -- lost, That's Akko's quest. Dreamed of Attending Luna Nova, like Chariot and generations of Cavendish witches before. - Had to drop out, leaving behind her friends, experiences, and beloved teachers after less than a year at the school. Take over the Cavendish family holdings. -- if the last line of the ep 20 Preview is to be believed ("I wanted to protect it."), she will not get that either. She will have literally lost EVERYTHING at this point. And she's a teenage girl somewhere around 15 or 16 years old. I suspect she's going to break down hard from this. |

So anyone else find it a bit tiring how Chariot knows Croix is the mastermind and does absolutely nothing to expose her? I mean, I could get over her not telling Akko a thing, but everything else...?

But seriously, Chariot doesn't know what Croix intends to do, and Croix probably has reasonable plausible deniability for any personal involvement in the recent misadventures. Plus, it would likely be very difficult for her to expose Croix without revealing that she's Chariot too, and it looks like she has some good reasons for not wanting to do that...

I guess this demonstrates again why Akko is the chosen one. Diana is too rational, she figured since there is no time she had to abandon her quest. And Akko is all like, "Screw that, go anyway!" And then the magical McGuffin responds. If Diana had the rod she would have rationalized around it.
On a different note Diana was all dere dere this episode. |

I am sure... I just saw... Diana smile! Tell me it wasn't dream! It's like cutest thing ever!
On unrelated note even after claim that Andrew and her wasn't really childhood friend he certainly is lot of aware of her. Unfortunately not implying anything romantic in this case though. Friendship is magic.

Really liked the character relationship development between Akko and Diana this week. Diana seems to be genuinely thankful of Akko for helping her and if it wasn't for Akko, she would of never made it back on time.
I still don't like her aunt much though. She seems like a minor antagonist and tbh, I hope she doesn't mess with Diana again in the future. It'll be interesting to see how their relationship develops from here as I think Diana now has more respect for Akko than ever.

What makes Akko the master of the rod is that only she can revive the words. It's not that only she can touch it. Anyone can touch it. Croix is probably just a special case of having very selfish desires and that's why she was repelled. And there's probably a bit of BBOvenGuy mentioned: Akko "allowed" Diana to use it, so to speak. That probably matters too.

Great two parter focusing on Diana, by the end of it we've all come to understand her better.
She's a good girl at heart beneath all that pride and stubbornness, no doubt she will become one of Akko's strongest ally to the revival of magic. Love the sweet bickering on the way back to Luna Nova |
