*half way through the show*
*shaken* .... blood.... neck..... knife.... it's 5.10pm the blood.... *hides in a corner* (I don't mind blood and guts but the neck thing...) *shudders* And I'm so buying the next shounen jump magazine for that DVD >.> *pops back later~* End of Show: Spoiler:
And ooh, the freaky wired dude is their papa, how curious... But, yep yep, as those are clearly stating hinting above, thus FMA begins to take the manga direction and I'm in the same boat as those who've never seen any form of this series, thus ends Season 1, I beleive since there's a new OP and ED next week. So for that, I take my leave from future episode discussion threads *bows* I may pop back in here from time to time to comment at the start but I won't follow thread for a page or two as I've done in some weeks. Alike Naruto (which I love to death), the manga va anime comparisons, complains, potential whining that usually accompanies an anime adaption from the manga peeps I steer well clear of. And especially since this series is meant to make the manga lot happy, I guess it's their "right" if they're not happy with an adaptation, speed etc etc yada yada, so I'll see where this series takes me, but from my little "anime only" corner, I'll enjoy going in blind. I do have one complaint tho, lol. FMA2's Scar is way badass, but from last weeks ep I didn't like this version of Greed much, he was somewhat cooler in the last series, I really liked him as the "bad guy". :\ (I guess cause he got more airtime?) Also... Spoiler:
As for a "score", given the action and story progress, it gets a 8. Would have got a 9, if not for the sword...neck...thing....ai yai yai.... *cringes and rubs her neck*

Wow, that was the first REALLY awesome episode in a long, long time for me.
The preview is a total troll though. They're going to introduce Mei, do the ENTIRE Lanfan/Genfu fight, reintroduce Barry, AND do Scar/Yoki + Scar vs Whatshisname..... all in one episode! ^_^ |

Finally, a quality episode.
I really enjoyed this one. The action was very well animated, and due to competent directing, the pacing was also pretty decent. As expected, they skipped over certain scenes that will instead be in the next episode. Only thing I didn't like was a certain character having the same voice actor as the narrator. Certainly wasn't expecting that, and can't say I like the voice for said character much, unfortunately. But yeah, from the preview, things don't seem too good regarding the pacing for the completely new material. A lot will be happening, as usual. We'll see, I guess. |

This is Rurouni Kenshin all over again
Basically an anime entirely supported by the animation and source material. The writers and Director is clearly incompetent, and just can't let the story be. I mean how the hell does that make any sense for the Scar fight. The entire point of that fight was for Hiromu Arakawa to announcethat Scar has arrived in Central. What is the fight going to be in East City? Did Yoki steal a carriage with Rockets instead of horses? |

I was thinking the same *sighs*
So much for discussing based off the preview that if it's not the case now :\ Quote:
Ah... The manga complaints have begun... xD *runs away from thread now to protect her innocent and "ignorance is bliss" mind*

The manga is fine, they should follow it instead of trying to "improve" it. Here's the thing FMA Brotherhood is good for two reasons: animation, and being based off of one of the best mangas I have ever read. The Director and Wrters have simply made everything worse anytime they are not just copying the manga.
