If you want to test the border on a signature, you need to create a layer on top of the rest of the layers that has the picture. Create a border on the blank layer by selecting the whole picture and Edit > Stroke. Create a 2 pixel border and with another color, a 1 pixel border. You can show and hide the border by clicking on the eye on the layer you created the border. If the border isn't showing, drag the layer with the border on top of the rest of the layers.

Sorry to made you wait .
My computer chrashed. So right now i can't fix some picture, but I can explain better. I'am following this guide. I've 2 layer . Everything I doing on Background (Layer 1) happen on Background copy 1 (Layer 2). The picture step 4 is like mine in the guide .The lines are on both layers. But because I'm doing a border on the sig, both of the layers needs to be drawn apart. How to fix it ? Sorry for my bad english. Last edited by Azure Ice; 2010-04-12 at 16:31. |

Not sure what lines you mean..
if it is the selection then a simple random click in the picture with the selection tool will make it vanish. To make a border, you can make the border in another layer as long as it is in the top of your layer list the border will be visible. Simply make a selection of where you want this border to be, if you have rounded edges and want it placed like that then used the same steps but after you have selected: 1. make a new layer, move it to the top of the list and work in this layer to make the border: use step 1 in the link you added then right click the drawn square thing and select "make selection". Then go back to your selection tool and click it (short cut is M) and right click on the then sparkling selected area and finally chose "stroke". If you have it set on for example 1 px, black and inside then you get a small border of 1 pixel on the inside rim of that line |

You are right.
I find a guide made by Yuiichi , but for some reason it didn't work. I didn't find how to not filled through the pencil (right next to the eye). Here is the link for the guide. See step 3 right of the picture. I think it's for cs2. |

Selected area (ie. whats marked with ant line) is editable while the non-selected area becomes non-editable. You're right its CS2, but regarding those tutorials the only difference you need to be aware of is that back in CS2 there used to be a Marque tool with Round Corners (in CS3 and above use the vector tools and make a selection based on it).

The thing is that next to eye, I can't find the pencil box.
I will post some pictures, If I have time... If I want to follow that guide I most know how to fill through the pencil box or not fill through it. Like I said rigth to the eye, I can't see the pencil box. It's one of the most important thing to do rounded edge on a sig I think. |
