An expected guest at the Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity event held at the Tokyo Game Show 2010, Tanaka Rie (Karen Erra, Helga Noyman [Neumann] in Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Portable) was also a
surprise guest at the MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3: Fate of Two Worlds Special Stage event held there with the venerable Capcom veteran Niitsuma Ryouta. Ms. Tanaka was introduced as the new Japanese voice actress for Morrigan Aensland.
Tanaka later announced her role as Morrigan in MvC3 on
her Twitter account and on
her blog.
From the beginning, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer Niitsuma Ryouta had Tanaka Rie in mind performing the charming sexy voice of the sultry succubus Morrigan.
An avid gamer, Tanaka Rie does a lot of voice work in games. Her game characters range from cute, energetic lolis (Neptune / Purple Heart in SUPER DIMENSION GAME NEPTUNE; Plum Scarlet in ELEMENTAL BATTLE ACADEMY) to sexy, glamorous women (Morrigan in MvC3; Medoute in BLAZE UNION).
And she is Voice 2 for the Miqo'te catgirls in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
With few exceptions, for nearly two decades Jinguuji Yayoi has been the Japanese voice of Morrigan Aensland.
(Sakuma Rei, Inoue Kikuko, and Touma Yumi have also voiced Morrigan in various incarnations {anime, drama CDs, etc.}).
A
Japanese blogger observes that Capcom rarely changes voice actors, expecting Jinguuji Yayoi would reprise her role as Morrigan in MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3.

as posted on 2ch, include Takahashi Hiroki as Ryu, Orikasa Fumiko as Chun-Li, Touchi Hiroki as Chris Redfield, Nakada Jouji as Albert Wesker, Morikawa Toshiyuki as Dante, Tanaka Atsuko as Trish, and
Iizuka Mayumi as Tron Bonne.
Seiyuu for Felicia and Viewtiful Joe are unknown, according to the 2ch post, while Amaterasu's seiyuu is a dog.
