Shibuya Mayor Kuwahara Toshitake crowned Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ; real name, Takemura Kiriko) as the Kawaii Ambassador of Harajuku - a highly influential international capital of Japanese street fashion in the Shibuya Ward of Tokyo, including lolita (sweet, classic, gothic, punk, etc.), visual kei, and more.
(Known as a big fan of Harajuku, American singer-songwriter and fashion designer Gwen Stefani helped popularized it in the United States.)
Produced by songwriter, music producer and DJ Nakata Yasutaka of the Japanese electronic duo capsule (himself and singer Koshijima Toshiko) - Nakata is also the producer of the three-member Japanese electropop/technopop girl group Perfume, whose song "Polyrhythm" was used in the 2011 Disney Pixar theatrical animated feature
