Wait a minute, I sense something here. Reminds me of that episode, which I rewatched a while ago. Wasn't Azusa teaching Yui the "wrong" riff? I mean, she's doing the bends part in the 11th fret on the 2nd string, which she should have done on the 12th fret on the 2nd string. Oh, nothing, just my laziness sinking in I guess..

Sorry but the date of my rental period for the bass is over and i had to return it today... So I can't record it until August, when i re-rent it, so if you guys dont want to wait it is ok and someone else can fill in for me. But i would still like the spot in the band if it is at all possible for the next songs.
Thanks, and sorry |

Ah damn, that's a shame. I mean, I'm sure we can delay a month or so. I've got a few other things to work on (Guitar wise) so I'm cool with it. If everyone else is happy then we will wait for you. It'd be unfair if we just kicked you off lol.

Just dropped by to share my cover. This is the song that made me want to cover songs and post them on youtube. My all-time favorite k-on song... Though I wished I got more practice on the beginning part. (This could be my final cover this year (or maybe ever), since i'm predicting I will be damn busy).
I threw in a little something in the end as well... This one's for you, sylpheed17-sempai...

Cool! I know you always want to play this song since you've asked me before how to tremolo pick. You really want to nail that solo XD Is it me or you based the notes on my old cover? Lot of improvement on the vibrato. Looks like you're going the right way. You were able to nail the Don't Say Lazy riff harmonics but you'll need a different vibrato on that one which I'm still figuring out XD Some notes: - The intro to verse chord progression has rest in between so you should mute the note at the end of the bar - Looks like you're having a hard time doing vibrato on the high E string XD. There was a time I was also doing it like that. Though, I'm not that comfortable with it yet XD - Add vibrato to the full bend notes. Those are wide bend vibratos. I'm also still working on this XD

^ thanks dude. I really like the solo of this song, so I want it to be great...
Actually, I primarily based this cover on another cover in youtube. (plus also based some stuff from your cover). 1. It's really hard for me to do vibratos on the 1st string. I'm used to doing vibratos by bending the string downwards (you can't do that in the 1st string). I need to learn to bend upwards as well. Need work on that. 2. Wait, you can have vibratos while doing a full bend? The only solution that I can think of this is to use the whammy bar to create the vibrato while bending the string. I use this in my friend's guitar (and probably stuck with it). How do you do that? More things for me to improve. @ BigSmokeDawg: thanks. good luck with that cover flurry...

Yes, you can. You bend the note up to pitch then push it up and down around the note. It's hard to explain, but it's possible. I use it a lot when I play. Also that's kinda why I don't want a guitar with a trem on it. I'd become way too dependant on it :P

1. You should balance upwards and downwards bending for vibrato. I know that downwards is easier (I'm always doing it) but for the 1st string you need to do both XD
2. Yes and those vibrato bend is the most expressive technique for me (that's why I love Galneryus). The technique there is to push the string up (just like your normal full bend) then release the pressure on the string. Do not force the string to go back...just let it go down by itself. Then you need to push up again. Rinse and repeat. Souryu's cover of Don't Say Lazy uses vibrato bends frequently and beautifully: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MPcVlh6uEs

I've rearranged my version of Gohan Wa Okazu with vocals from the original track.
If in case you're wondering, it's in Drop D.
