Three out of four of my group leader pick'ems after one week... not bad at all. Just kinda sad TSM is falling behind, but if they make it out of groups I'd be a happy camper, even if they face against SKT.

Why do people keep thinking that Flashwolves are bad?

I don't get it. They did the same shenanigans at IEM and at Worlds last year. They are not a bad team, only an inconsistent one.

It's the group of life they said. It was the easiest group they said. It was pretty much an auto-in to the knockout stages they said. Damn, CLG won NALCS and start out strong in the first week to give NA fans false hope indeed.

Well, THAT was unexpected....so much for my picks :P @Mach, it's not that FW are bad, per se, but they do some really weird shit at times. Don't get me wrong, all teams have their moments where lapse of judgement costs a fight, or even the game, but there's just something about FW that makes them seem less experienced (and in extention, perfect candidates for sucker-punching).

Spoiler for comments: I expected at least one team in group A to be 3-0 and another to be 0-3 but surprisingly every team has picked up at least one win. The favourites are still on top but they are far from unbeatable. Also why the hell would you pick Blitzcrank? Group B is just full troll fiesta. Wtf C9. Wtf FNC. Wtf 3-0 and 3x 1-2. SKT seems to be the team that continues their strong performance from their league. Unless something really drastic happens next week the standings will most likely stay as they are now. And even though H2K are 1-2 it is a pleasant surprise that they are playing much better than expected. The last group has THE biggest upset with LGD being 0-3. I expected OG to play well but they played even better. If LGD can calm down and fix whatever has happened to them this week, they can very well go 3-3 and blow this group wide open.

For me (first to last): A - Koo, CLG, FW, PNG B - FNC, AHQ, C9, IG C - SKT, EDG, H2k, BKT D - LGD, KT, OG, TSM I think group B is the most surprising, with D being close. Honestly, who would have picked C9 to be first place in their group? __________________

Can't say anyone expected that, though...I really like OG's current 3-0 and although I've placed group C in the exact order that it stands right now, I want to see H2K making some moves, they can definitely get somewhere.

DemonOfWrath Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2011	Spoiler for Bit late but TSM vs LDG: This game, out of all of them, made me so sad. Everyone knows what Mordekaiser does and how he'll be played out, so LGD actually picked a really sick team comp that baited out both that and Darius. You know Morde is a huge lane bully, but you have a monstrous bot lane, so you give them Kalista and Brand knowing they can fight it out (and are also good against slow melees. Hi Darius!). You also take Lulu and Nunu for more slows and disengage, great! And to round it off you match the TF against a strong assassin/split pusher with TP so you don't get outnumbered bot lane and can match TF later on. That's fine. The clever part for me is the Nunu/Kalista. Both are so hard to out-smite individually, and Nunu is ALL about objective control and vision. How is Morde ever supposed to get a dragon against that combo? It looks great on paper! And then LGD completely forgets that dragon control is a thing they should be doing... TSM goes for a dragon at 9 mins in, as Morde hits level 6. This is such an obvious and telegraphed play it's almost painful. BUT, LGD's vision on the bottom half of the map dropped at ~8 mins in, and Nunu went top side. They literally handed TSM with MORDEKAISER a free dragon without even trying to contest or even keep any semblance of control over that area of the map. And then, when it's bloody obvious TSM is doing dragon (what else could they be doing!?) two of them suicide into four people. It's a shame. It was such a clever idea and composition (imo) that abuses the weaknesses of multiple champs that they knew TSM would instantly grab. It's a shame it couldn't of been done by a team that wasn't utterly shitting the bed. Rant over.

Can't keep typing because Spoiler for PNG vs CLG: Bard/Lee Sin first picks 0_0 Okay, that didn't feel like a serious game...CLG was on YOLO mode and tried some really epic combos, exept they didn't actually land them.
