Well, that Wave Saber 4 figure set finally came in
...if anyone thought the Saber Lily box was big.... Really, there was the HLJ shippingcarton around the Wave mastercarton which contained 2 boxes containing the jewel case and the figures This has got to be the biggest box I ever received for a figure LxWxH is 42x60x42cm agreed, they are 4 figures, but even 4 1/48 Macross Valkyries didn't take as much space They could have saved 50% by incorporating trays inside the jewel case (when repackaging them I used clear wrap to hold the figures into place in the display before putting the cover over them) In this day and age with the huge shipping costs, one would think they adapt their packaging to keep the cost for the customer lower But it is a very nice set, a nice surprice was the addition of a set of animation cells from each of the figures (ofcourse there never were actual animation cells of them with the change to computer animation) Saber Alter's pillow seemingly can't be removed, which is OK since I have a "No Nudity" policy concerning my figures anyway Carefull investigations have proven her to be anatomically correct though

The top figure makers did not pick up the series, so there are only prize figures around of C.C. I own four of those, from that I can recommend the Bride version and the Yukata version as the best ones. Other Banpresto releases are fine too ver1, ver2

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in some of the figures I'm selling?
http://myfigurecollection.net/profil...onSwirls/shop/ I know I'm just kinda just plopping this here, but I suppose I'm desperate haha. There's more of my collection that I'll be selling soon probably so yessss. |

Meanwhile I'm waiting Takane and Tsugumi to reach my home. Once Makoto (Im@s) is release, I think I'll quit collecting figurine for a time... |

Figure collectors, just want to ask. Do you buy figures because you are fan of the characters or have there been time you buy a figure even though you are not a fan of the characters but just because the figure looks cool or has good design so you decided to buy it?

I do both. I do buy mostly figures of characters I like, but I also have quite a few figures from works I have no interest of, simply because the figures look gorgeous.
A shelf full of Queens Blade figures in their black bondage versions for example. Or Gift's realistic Saber and Saber Lily despite not caring about fate franchise. And both 2013 and 2014 sets of Racing Miku figma, both together with their respective motorcycles, despite not being an avoid vocaloid fan.

I only have one exception, and it was a really cheap prize figurine of Kikyou (from Inuyasha) which I bought at a local anime convention: http://myfigurecollection.net/item/57389 I later bought another Kikyou figurine which looks much nicer: http://myfigurecollection.net/item/19443 |
