is this another shady tactic from Ameno's Grandma? to spark jealousy from Kogarashi and to measure how far he is going for Sagiri
probably just another pretending things and he'll end up apologize to Kogarashi for the misunderstanding |

We already know Sagiri's no actor, and the scene of her accepting her current mission wouldn't have required her acting anyways. In that scene and since then Sagiri was obviously depressed about the mission and the related circumstances. Whatever the particulars of the mission, she's genuinely unhappy about it. So if the mission is a ruse, she isn't in on it. If it's a ruse aimed at either her or Kogarashi, it's an incredibly cruel and callous one on the part of her grandmother to put Sagiri through it. It's also a bad ruse as it has substantial potential for backfire. Kogarashi could refuse to accept that Sagiri wasn't in on it, and hold it against her. That would pointlessly generate friction and animosity between the two at a time when Kogarashi has already rejected Hibari once, but was willing to confide in Sagiri about his lack of experience with love, and allowed Sagiri to sneak into his bed one morning. If grandma managed to get an actual Yoinozaka to help with the ruse, it risks fostering bad blood between them and the Yatahagane. If she has someone impersonating a Yoinozaka, it risks them finding out and them taking it poorly and holding it against the Chuuma. Grandma Ameno wants Kogarashi tied to the clan by marriage so they can assure that he'll be a stabilizing influence between the Tenko and Yoinozaka factions. A ruse like this could easily destroy both those goals. Yes the series could ignore the implicit risks and play the whole thing off with some jokes when the truth comes out, but it'd be kind of bad writing. Though as I said, it's not like most of the alternatives are much better. As I noted above, as far as the Chuuma should be concerned at the moment, Sagiri's got a great chance at Kogarashi. By the information available to them, she's arguably the second closest girl to Kogarashi(the closest being Yuuna), with Chisaki being the only competition. The only other girls genuinely pursuing Kogarashi are Oboro, Hibari, and Karura. While Kogarashi is content to let them stay around him and attempt to win his affections, he's rejected all of them at least once. So unless they absolutely have to, the Chuuma should not be pulling Sagiri off that mission unless they're more or less willing to admit defeat in securing Kogarashi. Beyond that, assuming the mission is a marriage proposal, it reflects poorly on Sagiri to not talk it over with friends or other family and accept for the sake of duty when it'll make her unhappy. It reflects poorly on her grandmother to put her in that position. |

I'd say that abusive or controlling fiances are far more usual than rapey ones. The usual direction of these plots is to pressure them into marriage for the benefit of their family, clan, company, country, and so on. Then once they've agreed, start pushing for them to give up their friends/social life/career plans to be an obedient and supportive wife. If they're reluctant, shame and pressure them by implying that not doing as they wish will harm the benefits in the first part or that their refusal risks the arrangement failing and it'll be their fault. If they refuse, do the same but get angry while doing it.
These sorts of plots going the direction where the fiance gets grabby or starts pressuring the girl for a physical relationship before the marriage is far less common. Even in the plots where the fiance is jealous and possessive. |

Getting angry seeing your fiancee in bath with another man is absolutely normal. Too bad the author already established the dude to be an ass beforehand, it killed any sympathy for him. What a move author, what a move.

But the problem itself still stems from Sagiri herself. Being overwhelmed by her own inferior complex as the result from her losing battles is already terrible enough, but for her to choose an abusive partner blindly out of her devotion to
ission? Sagiri, you're supposed to be better than this! Regardless what comes next, we really want to see One Punch Kogarashi scene where Kogarashi can break his smug face and his horn! God, if only Ouga was here and give Kogarashi some tips on beating an Oni... Last edited by Chingaruna517; 2018-11-05 at 07:01. |

I guess I was wrong and the guy is really the scummiest scum of this manga. Not that I'd be too surprised if it turns out he's only acting in accord with grandma Ameno to push Sagiri closer to Kogarashi...
Now please let him be punched, author. |

That really comes to one question: Why would the Chunin Ninja even agreed in forging an alliance with the Oni Family despite the scion if that family is a misogynistic punk? Speaking of which, better question:is this dyfunctional family of the Oni has promoted Nonko to leave her family?
