Or accept the fact that a show is over-subbed and take it as a chance to broaden their horizons by taking on another project. Or pay tribute to the many forgotten anime series out there who have no subs at all. ^^; I am tempted to call that kind of behavior selfish, but that's not true either (since after all it's good that they give their time to produce ANY sub in the first place). But 90% of the time shows I like are stalled or not subbed at all so after awhile it gets irritating to see other shows over-subbed ^^;

Erk, I'm getting way off topic...! Anyway, I noticed the Reborn! manga in English on a shelf at a local Borders. How's the translation? I hope it's not edited like Gintama's translation or terrible like Prince of Tennis's translation (I seriously don't think whoever is in charge of the PoT translation even TRIES) ...

I agree the some show does get oversubbed. When I download torrent, I don't really care who sub it, I download the earliest one that come out. Sure, there are sub group that has less spelling mistake, but I am not patient enough to wait for hours or days for that sub group version to come out. So there is really no point in subbing an anime 10 times. While good show (in my point of view) get ignore completely or come out really really slowly. But I truly thankful for all the sub anime. I still appreciate all the subber by the way. So the onlly way is to:
1. Buy the DVD (imported one if the show never get license. But BEWARE of horrible subtitles)
2. Learn Japanese, which is what I am doing now.
I am getting off topic too.
Anyways, I am looking forward to this show too. I enjoy anime that are ridiculously funny (coming from a girl who likes Excel Saga). Reborn looks so cute. By the way, how old is he supposed to be? And how tall? Because he looks like Thumbilina from the picture.

*Goes off to look for Reborn manga*

Yay, a promo was released! There is hope for this series after all

However, looks like they mis-spelled the title of the series...?

Should be "Katekyo Hitman Reborn!" and not "Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!", despite how the kanji seem. Look at the furigana for those kanji on the official site. ^^;

I'm really confused now, but anidb and animesuki are using "Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!" as the official name, what should I do?

The kanji are read "kateikyoushi" but not for this series. Again, the real kanji reading of any series is always on the manga/source material itself. I am 100% positive that anidb and animesuki are currently wrong on their spelling because I have read the manga.

Um...This comes from only skimming though the first volume, but...didn't he get hit with the actual bullet in the manga?

Otherwise, great stuff.

it's not just that that gets toned down. Gokudera will have magically igniting dynamites too.

Shounen Jump should give you a hint.
but note that the manga has been toned down (quite a little lot) for the anime.

Wow, what a disappointing first episode. There's a whole bunch of worthless filler, stupid and cliched slapstick comedy, slooow pacing... somehow all the charm of the manga's first chapter is missing. A few of my favorite jokes from the chapter (such as Reborn showing Tsuna the ways the other candidates for 10th Gen died) were omitted... the animation and music were both bland. I did like the opening theme and animation, though. The ending wasn't bad either.

I'm still very glad Shinsen is subbing it. I'm really hoping this adaptation will get better soon, and in fact am confident that it will.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! - Dino's Seiyuu, Seiyuu Pics

Kamakari Kenta discloses on his blog that he plays Dino in Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Yesterday, on Monday, November 20, 2006, I added Kamakari Kenta as the Japanese voice actor (seiyuu) for Dino in the Anime News Network Encyclopedia entry for Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (TV).
