They're no Sphere, but the song's got that something. It also mentions the show by name, hearkening back to an era when theme songs did that.

Spoiler for Koihime Sengoku Girls 01 - The Hideyoshi Who Actually is a Girl:

While this, Koihime and Hyakkaryouran all fall under the same general banner, what this show has in its DNA makes it a much closer relative of Rakugo Tennyo Oyui. Yes, I consider that a compliment. I never claimed to be a man of taste. It's the second show of the season with a blonde everyday teenager from our world falling into an alternate one this season, but I don't think Hideyoshi will be quite as safe. On the other hand, Nobunaga has not been revived by Medals of any kind, so that bodes well. The show's got a pretty solid setup, and will make for some nice Monday fun. I think I'm going to like this.

Koihime Musou is awesome, however, I can't stand that annoying male protagonist in Hyakkaryouran.
Although I think this show is nothing new, it still found a good balance between a little bit of humor and setting up the story without wasting too much time. The lulz of the talking dog at the end caught me off guard. Hopefully a world with only females will yield some degree of yuri. Please oh please.

A big (-_-) for the entire thing.
Everything was just so........ I don't know... bad.
But I guess it wasn't that horrible, because it was kind of entertaining watching the protagonist be so "modern". Oh high school girls and their addiction to their cellphones these days...

Found this episode to be... somewhat bland, but it wasn't boring. The main girl's obsession with cell-phone was tiring at few points, but I guess thats today's youth. Any kind of female lead is better then harem males which are usually interesting as a wooden board.
The Sensei at the beginning is really understanding. Mine never give a jack of a reason why I would come late at school. I really hope the ending won't be something that this episode set up, which is that main lead returns home and does her test well.

The ponytail redhead is pretty smexy, it was worthwile just for her. :3
I'll watch few more episodes to see how everything goes.

This is basically a remake of Garzey's Wing and Black Knight.

But somehow, this anime is better than this.

And you know what? I Don't mind seeing a cheesy ecchi version of Sengoku-era anime. And it delivers.

It was so unambitious... yet watch-able, maybe this can be a new category along with "so bad, it's good" and "so deep, it's boring", Anyway, everything was average, OP, ED, character designs, plot, service, ... everything!!!

At least they can upgrade the service, since everything else is quite unlikely to improve

And what's up with butchering the title... maiden -> girl (not that bad), warring states -> battle (worse, but passable), pink -> time (WTF)

Nobunaga was great. I wonder if her helmet was the same one in the sensei's room. Also can't tell who was casting the spell, but it looked like someone with Nobunaga's hairstyle.

I am of the opinion that ambition is unneeded in this kind of shows.
I also like the OP and chara designs, but I guess it's just a matter of personal taste.

Good first episode. I'm a bit of a sucker for this sort of series. Cute lead, and some genuinely funny interactions. It wasn't as good as Koihime Musou (which I'll inevitably be comparing it to), but it's still solid.

My only complaint would be a relatively low level of fan-service. Usually this'd be the last thing I'd complain about, but in this kind of show; I expect it. But it's only the first episode. I hope more exposed female curves show up eventually, though.

A female cast with no worthless male getting in the way (as in Samurai Girls) would certainly be a great plus

However, it got a not very flattering article on Sankaku, recounting a not-so-good reception:

Again with the sometimes screwy double standards this fandom can have. (I don't excuse myself in this judgment. I am part of this fandom too.) So many shows are criticized for too much fanservice, but when a show tries to be respectful on the strength of its concept alone (such as this one), people want more fanservice. Is the true answer in the middle, or what? Because otherwise it looks inconsistent without reason.
