Okay, here is another link: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...-anime-in-2018

And the summary they have there is as follows:

"The main story is set in Onomichi-city, Hiroshima Prefecture, featuring six girls whose dreams are becoming Space Fisher. In the game, the player plays the part of the chief of the girls division at the Space Fisher Development Center and supports the girls to capture the space fishes."

Apparently it is based on a smartphone game which will be launching the same year?

Episode 1 is out.

Eh, I think this was an ok start but nothing outstanding. We got to meet the main characters but no one particularly stands out for me just yet. The part with the space suits though lol

Seems like the girls and guys has some degree of character chemistry together. I'm also interested in seeing what other technology they got in space there. The story feels rather loose right now though, hope they can improve on that.

Well, that was pretty silly and it is going to be one of those shows where you really don't want to think about the logistics, but I'm keen to see how it develops in the next few episodes. I guess they wanted to get the space fishing bit to the fore and fill in the gaps later?

So they are using LOX, from the condensation, and solid rocket boosters to get to orbit. But they are using super-science and magic smartphone apps in orbit.

If all the sea life died off I think the world would have worse things to worry about then setting up giant water satellites to produce fish that would have to cost more then gold by weight.

Where did the space fish come from if all the fish on Earth vanished before the space oceans were set up?

I have to say this first episode really didn't do it for me. :/

Like I said, don't think about the logistics....!

Yeah, it makes no sense at all, if they'd moved the fish into space because the seas were too polluted or something, kind of like the movie "Silent Running" but with fish and without the hippie-shit, that might have made more sense than "yeah, fish disappeared, we built big space habitats for fish and send people up on rockets to fish for them with god apps" nonsense.

I'll give it a few more to see if they fill in the back story more.

This episode alone required such insane levels of suspension of disbelief than I have ever seen before.

The first 20 seconds alone made me feel like my brain was melting from all the nonsense

Normally, that would be a simple task...but in this case, questions kept popping up.

- All fish in the world suddenly disappear (How?!)
- The world goes 10 years without knowing why it happened (again, How?!)
- Fish tanks are built in space to raise fish for the sake of fishing (wth, WHY?! And where did those fish come from?!)

I seriously question the logic of the person who wrote the setting. Are they even aware of the massive consequences of fish disappearing from the world? And that the world somehow survived 10 years without them, even though they make up a large part of the ecosystem?

...or how utter ridiculous it is to build a fish tank in space (that apparently isn't even encased in a dome)?

I've seen quite a few anime that fall into the category of "Just turn off your brain and enjoy the nonsense"...but this one beats them all to such a level that the brain turns itself back on to point out the glaring flaws.

...I think this would've been better off remade as a show for little children

I sure hope so. Because just the start of the episode was a huge hurdle...no, a freakin' wall to climb.

Ugh...my head hurts, I need to rest after going through this mess.

(Note: I am merely giving my opinion. I did not do this with the intention of flaming or trolling. Writing this just in case.)

Well its not to bad of a start but got to say those fish are just really big you think that they would use bigger equipment

You think that the other girl could answer before getting taken away into space

The male vs female conflict is a bizarre caricature.

Thank you for pointing out what I missed.

And yes, the title sounds very poetic: Between the sky and the sea, which made me think "Horizon? Is this going to be a story about chasing horizons or some philosophical journey?" Sadly, I was wrong...so very wrong.

Kind of forced too. I mean, the opening scene already states that gender equality is a thing regarding space fishing...and yet they shove a male vs female conflict down our throats.

Not to mention the girls were at a clear disadvantage, for obvious reasons (they dragged a total newbie into it, and the guys appear older than them, implying that they have more experience).

i was expecting this to be hard sci-fi in the vein of Cowboy Bebop but about off-world fishing but no, its a freaking super robot anime with magical attacks fighting seafood Kaiju who's like only a single of them can feed an entire country!!

Watched episode 1:

Hmm.. not bad... but also not very good. Fishing for large tuna in space? And the conflict seems forced... it's newbie vs. veteran fishermen, predictable result.

Will give this the 3 episode test. Or maybe watch it when I run out of things to watch.

Wow, was kind of a mess. For a thing I think I can turn off my brain for the most part specially the fellatio to the glorious Japan that started all this shit ONLY to eat fish, in fact, really laughed on this.

Now, I really can't forgive the god appli shit, not only crash with the setting but also stand out as the black baby of a married couple of white blonde people and is bad. Also makes me wonder, why?

3 episode rule. This season with Index and Jojo isn't so benevolent.
