Not justifying pedophilia or anything, but child labor and marriage had always been (and is still) relatively common in different parts of the world. Also, Ars is a boy. Don't you notice the difference in treatment between fantasy tales bout girls getting sold as sex-slaves vs. boys getting laid by milfs? If Ars got kidnapped and sold as a gimp to a fat, ugly noble, that's another matter, but Ars getting laid by his hot aunt ain't going to raise much brows - particularly in hentai.

I wanna know just the major plot points that happen, who Sieg meets through his journey, how he comes to grow, and how he interacts with Rudy and his mothers and siblings.
There are a lot of events that go on (especially regarding Lara and Lily) but I won't go into detail on those events since the summary would be wayyyyyyyy too long.
Basically what you know now (or at least what I think) is that Sieghardt is the apprentice of Alek (North God III) and he met Pax Jr at the academy as two misfits who become best friends (who is the son of Pax, to Rudy's great surprise but at the same time relief that his son is helping the kid out since he feels kind of guilty for his suicide).
Another bit of info to know is that Rudy's kids have a really hard time dealing with him.
This is because they believe that Rudy is too much of a grand figure to the point where he holds absolutely no expectations for them because they think that Rudy thinks they will never be able to catch up to him, which is not true because Rudy's real reason for not holding any expectations is that he wants his kids to live a free and happy life, not a life bound by expectations and stress like those in the society of Japan he came from. This point of view of course, is also Sieghardt's point of view as well. If there is anyone he fears more than Red Mama's wrath (Eris), it is Rudy, since he doesn't even comment or nag Sieghardt about him being a NEET (Sieghardt thinks that his father is so disappointed that he won't even talk to him when in reality, Rudy just wants to give him space and want to try and understand him).
Pax Jr and Sieghardt visit and Sieghardt learns about Pax Jr's hobby of visiting the slave market. Pax Jr says that his father (Pax) used to occasionally visit the slave market and was told that since his father was hated by the country, the slums may have brought him a sense of belonging amidst all that hate. Pax Jr then comments saying that his grandmother (mother's side) was also a slave before marrying into royalty and when Sieghardt asks him if he hates slavery, Pax Jr responds with a "no" and tells him that instead of abolishing slavery (since that would just create a black market and a much more dangerous environment for current slaves), he would rather create a system where there are a good amount of regulation to make into something more legitimate and safe for the slaves. Sieghardt also makes a comment here saying that maybe Pax Jr is interested in the slave market and trade because it reminds him of his lost father and other family members...
As you know, Pax Jr is the son of the Pax (who killed himself as the king of Shirone Kingdom and eventually causing its downfall) and the Dragon King Kingdom offers Pax Jr a piece of land (that is pretty desolated and trash) to become a duke of (essentially a death/prison sentence informally). Pax Jr requests Sieghardt of his help but Sieghardt doesn't respond (aka refusing) because he believes that he can't abandon his duty as Rudy's son as he knows he will be in an arranged marriage with Sariel (aka princess of Asura Kingdom and Ariel's daugther) to further strengthen the bond between the Asura Kingdom and the Greyrats. Also, if he decides to leave and help Pax Jr out, he may become an enemy of Rudy in the future (since Rudy is a huge huge member of the Asura Kingdom, and Pax Jr is technically under the Dragon King Kingdom as well as wanting to make a country of his own).
Basically the reason why Sieghardt became a NEET and Hero of Justice/Chuuni is because of the emptiness he feels after rejecting Pax Jr's request for his aid in his dream of restoring the kingdom that was known once as the Shirone Kingdom.
So Sieghardt as he does his Hero of Justice act, is eventually gets caught by Rudy and Alek. Alek confronts Sieghardt with an outfit of his own (as we know, Alek is pretty insane lmao) and crushes the living shit out of Sieghardt (Alek literally yells "Thunder Kick!!!"). Later on, Rudy confronts Sieghardt as well, making himself look like a villain who is the boss of Alek (although Sieghardt knew that the man who beat him was Alek in the first place) and while making a villain like speech from some superhero movie, Sieghardt realizes it is his father and gets super embarrassed, telling him to stop his act. Rudy eventually stops and asks him if it was really that embarrassing and Sieghardt replies with a yes. Rudy then tells Sieghardt that he wants to talk to him and they walk to a bar together (the one that Sieghardt frequents called the Goblin something).
And this is where the best part of the arc (in my opinion) comes into play (Rudy seriously #1 best dad).
Rudy and Sieghardt start drinking and discuss things. Rudy tells Sieghardt the reason why he confronted him was because he wanted to talk to him. Sieghardt then asks "Don't you have anything to say to me?" to which Rudy replies "Well that depends on your story.". Sieghardt then asks if he is disappointed that he wasn't going to marry Sariel and Rudy pretty much says that while he thought it would be a good idea, it doesn't matter if Sieghardt doesn't want to get married to her (to his surprise, since his father isn't as strict as he always imagined him to be). Rudy also says that despite the three mama's disapproval of Sieghardt's Moon Knight act, he supports him and thinks it is kind of cool. Rudy then asks Sieghardt what he really wants to do and says that he felt like after Sieghardt graduated from school, he looked like he was in emotional pain. Sieghardt tells him that he wants to follow Pax Jr and when Rudy asks him "Why not?", Sieghardt says that such a path may make him (Rudy) his enemy in the future and since there would be no man left to marry into the Asura Kingdom (since Ars is with Aisha), there would be a weakening of the ties of the Kingdom and also the Dragon King Kingdom (since Pax Jr wants to make his own kingdom, eventually rebelling the Dragon King Kingdom's authority over his land). Rudy then comments saying "That was it?" to Sieghardt's surprise because he never would have thought Rudy would be so easy going on the matter. Rudy then tells Sieghardt that despite him being friends with the Asura royalty and their possibility of becoming enemies, he tells Sieghardt not to worry him (Rudy) and anything regarding those issues. Rudy then proceeds to say this line: "Imagine if you spend everyday doing something you hate and hear the news of Pax Jr's defeat/loss. You will regret it for the rest of your life, to the point of not being able to stand up ever again. That is something much worse than becoming enemies with me as your father. I don't want to ever see you in a situation like that because that would mean I was unable to protect you." Sieghardt then realizes his father's true intentions and thanks him. After this, Rudy tells Sieghardt that he won't let him off early and they have to drink all night. Rudy proceeds to get piss drunk and rubs a waitress' butt (old habits die hard) and throws up in front of the bar/tavern after closing hours. Sieghardt seeing his father like this comments: "Seeing my father drunk like this, I thought that it was not cool and sort of disappointing. I never knew my father ever had a side like this to him. If I knew, I wouldn't have respected him to such a degree. But why is it that I feel like this is the best appearance my father has shown me in my entire life. There's no way he looks cool, but he really does."
The next day Sieghardt receives permission from the family and decides to leave to go help Pax Jr. Eris shows a smile, being happy for Sieghardt who found a way in his life and Roxy approves, while Sylphy despite approving still cries and is sad to see him go (since Sieghardt's blood related mother is Slyphy). He also says goodbye to everyone he knows including Alek, and Alek asks him if Sieghardt wants to carry on his legacy of being a hero (which may be an indication of Alek wanting to pass the North God title to Sieghardt) to which Sieghardt denies, saying that Alek should keep working hard and that it is too early for him to take that mantle. As Sieghardt leaves, he sees a middle aged white robed mage waiting for him on the road and realizes that it is his father. Rudy wanted to see his son for the final time before he left and gives him a black Moon Knight helm, to which Sieghardt replies "Why?" and Rudy responds "despite not doing the things you truly wanted to do for the past year, it doesn't mean that all of that was a waste."Rudy also tells him to look at the helm when he is in a tight spot, saying that the time he spent acting as the Moon Knight might give him the answers he need in the future. Sieghardt proceeds to say his goodbye to his Rudy and Rudy pats him in the back, telling him to do well..
Sieghardt eventually finds Pax Jr in a dangerous situation with the local tribe which his land is a part of, and Sieghardt helps Pax Jr and the tribe to cooperate together (if it wasn't for Sieghardt, Pax Jr would have been killed).
Decades go by and Pax Jr has made the land into livable territory, a one prosperous to the common folk and a slavery system well regulated to the point where slaves do not die from meaningless violence or illnesses. He also ends up marrying the tribe leader's daughter to ensure stability in the region. He also invades and conquers a kingdom that resided in a part of the Red Dragon's Lower Jaw region and due to his success is granted rewards and establishes their own knighthood known as the Black Dragon Knights.
In another scene, we see Pax Jr in a conference room, sitting in a round table with 6 other people (so 7 in total). One of them is Pax Jr's granddaughter whose name is Lauri and the other is of course Sieghardt, who has the title "Death God Knight" and by now has taken the 5th place in the World Power Ranking as the new Death God (no clue on how he got this, but I hope he didn't kill Randolph for it ㅠㅠ). Pax Jr says that their times has come (to finally liberate themselves and make their own country) and each of them leave the room. "In the conference room there were only empty cups left behind. And they will be there, waiting for the seven to come back. For another toast with those cups..."
And that is it for the summary. Jobless Oblige, in my opinion is one of Rifujin's best piece of writing along with Overthrow the King Dragon King Arc and The Ancient Dragon's Old Tale (the one currently on-going). This summary definitely doesn't do the arc enough justice since there are many details left out and you should definitely read it when it gets further translated in the future.
Also, Rudy best dad. It is amazing seeing our man go from a garbage NEET to a truly accomplished individual with the responsibilities of a father (minus showing his true self when intoxicated).

That cover is really heartwarming, i always liked how Rudeus actually spends time with his family and friends unlike other MCs who love to shout "I want to protect everyone" but we dont really get to see them interacting in a meaningful way

How long is Everyday chapter again? May be it's too short to use a whole volume for it. Though, I doubt if one volume is enough to cover both WN 14 and 15 either.
May be it will be like v11, contains WN14 and some of 15 (I guess up to "The jealousy of Sylphy" "The collapse of Banana").
Another thing i realized is that if Oldeus never shows up then there is no Eris waifu which means no Rinia pet, which means she was screwed by the Boreas family, also Pursena is jailed because of her assassination of the meat and both lose the qualifications to become chief, Orsted said some things would change based on who of them became chief but he didn't try to direct it, meaning it has no effects on his plans so it neither was Hitogami's doing as they failed because of their lack of control
I guess their happy(?) endings were a plus

She was a close friend but nothing else was hinted, for example if Rudeus was in Orsted's position and could ensure the birth of zanoba or cliff he would do it, i guess Orsted will expect for the girl to stay away from all the trouble as in previous loops she had to deal with the supard's legacy and duty, she was trying to finish Ruijerd's business so i guess Ruijerd will try to solve them himself
Of course, that initial plan would go wrong and she will take a similar role to her previous loops

^^ The irony of it all was that Laplace was not the true enemy in the entire saga even if he was built up as the ultimate Demon god. Just like the Supards have been driven mad by Laplace, he was driven mad by the gimmicks of Hitogami... which ironically was again driven to do what he did because he knew all the future routes. That's what I liked most about MT above all the other reincarnations/transportation stories out there - a consequence for every action results not because of either good or evil, but because of decisions or circumstances that the author didn't need to justify.

Hi, I picked up this story 3 weeks ago and started reading this discussion from page 1 after reading through the whole story in 2 weeks and I must say this is one of the best things I have read. It was one emotional rollercoaster with all the turning points. My only problem was the deleted side story which I do not want to discuss(because it has already been discussed so many times). I can't wait for the next addition to the MT universe.
But I don't want sequel!!

It could be also be those who are less competent and will have to rely on hitogami to succeed.
It can also be situational, where if you're pushed off into a pit full of deadly snakes and hitogami pops out and pull you out of that by giving some few tips then you'll be indebted to him or at least lower their guard.
I think Hitogami will have to resort on the latter if it comes to Rudeus kids.

Now I really wish we'd get a hitogami perspective at least once. It still bothers me if 人神 really is ヒトガミ or always had been, or something happened along the way with that foreshadowing at the start. Doesn't make much sense if hitogami already knew his daughter would give birth to Orsted but there may be other factors.

Holy shit that escalated fast. So many answers and even more questions. Missed hitogami and you gotta agree with the best boi they were dumb as hell and had it coming.
But it felt bad when Szilard cut off his legs/gouged out his eyes/plucked out and crushed his own heart when he heard the truth but then おやおや、自分の馬鹿さ加減に呆れて自害とは、本当に愚かでみじめじゃないか……ふふ、ふふふ、あはははは ！gotta agree with the best boi yet again!
So we still don't know who hitogami really is. However he's somehow mimicking the real human god and even has his real power. Though he's probably confined in a certain place in the current timeline because of that final battle.
Wish we'd get to hear his part of the story like when did he switch with the real deal. Though him having good relationship with the dragon world really helped out. After that it was the usual hitogami shenanigans. Maybe thats why he chose the human god, or maybe it was already him who proposed the culture exchange deal and everything.
When you think about it, pretty sad how Pergius turned out to hate Laplace and how connected all of them really are.
Also the house they live in and the the doll Rudeus found. If Chaos didn't make it out of the dying dragon world that means it might've belonged to Laplace.
There's a hint about Elinalize past in the last Chapter of the tale of Ancient Dragon

Laplace originally intended for the five to fight alongside Orsted against Hitogami. But I believe that this technique to bring out the said "spheres" (I'll just call the treasures sphere since they were made from the remains of the sphere/soul of the Dragon God) was lost due to Laplace fighting with Badigadi and being split into two beings. Aka, he either lost his memory or didn't have the time to tell Orsted, leading Orsted to think that the only way to secure these crystals is to kill each Dragon General instead of taking it out without killing them and securing them as his allies.
Also fun note is that the elf (Rosterina) in the series is most likely Elinalise. Laplace never came back for her and couldn't adjust her memories leading to her memory loss with mana that can't be held back unless she fucks someone.
Man the ending to this arc is like on par with Overthrow the King Dragon King where Rifujin shows us the reason as to why Alek (North God III) went full chuuni (because he read his father's fight against Kazat).

So, as I was rereading parts of Mushoku, I realized that it's been almost 2 years since the story ended.
Damn, I want to read the Mushoku sequel so bad... Sure, the short stories are nice too, but what I really want to see is Magonote's next big project...
The sad part is, since the author is so busy with the LNs, we might have to wait for Mushoku to be completely LN-ized before the author begins his new story. That means another two years or so...

It would be nice to see the author expand more of mushoku's world or even set stories in new worlds but all in all i can't say that there's a lack of good material.

I expected Sylvaril's mask to look more compact, like a carnival mask and i imagined her as dressed in black with more tight clothes, kind of with the air of a sexy and capable secretary
Atofe looks too friendly, in my mind she had a harder face because she was stronger and dumber than Eris so i expected a harder face than Eris' hard face

In this version (which i assume is LN based) Rudeus prison breaks with Gisu to find the smugglers raiding the beast village and they decide to join the fight
I don't really see it that necessary but i guess they wanted to give Rudeus more combat time
Edit: thinking back about it Ghyslaine should also be able to launch the paralyzing roar skill because her brother and niece can but i guess she went away before learning or/and was too violent to learn in the first place

Rudeus, Jino and Doga, they're very different yet the lengths they'll go for their families is something they have in common, maybe Eris, Nina and Isolte are more alike than i expected.

It looks like it is simply the labyrinth arc(where Rudeus s mother lies), so nothing new.
Still, other than Oldeus story on the future diary, Paul's death is maybe the most emotional part of the LN/WN.

First of all, thanks and great work on the pdf fam.
However, I see that you put the title of Chapter 21 as [In the Meantime] instead of [The Current Room] (but now that I think about it, At/In the Current Room would have been the best translation). I understand that without context you would think that [In the Meantime] is the correct translation and I also spent a lot of time thinking about it. However, there are multiple times in the chapter that uses the 当座の間 as a place rather than translated as "Meantime."
For example: エリスは、当座の間の中央で、木刀を手に立っているのだ。
Of course I could be wrong but this is my reasoning behind why I translated the title as I did.
As for your question regarding the Fighting God Armour + MK + Dragon King Sword, Badigadi has body regen but not particularly a huge mana pool like Rudy or Laplace, so he would be drained most likely. He isn't even skilled enough to use the Dragon King Sword anyways, as a matter of fact, Atofe with the Fighting God Armor + Dragon King Sword would be way stronger than Badigadi + Dragon King Sword.

I had already forgot how truly young Eris was when she returns, in my mind she was already a MILF and stayed like that for the rest of the series but she is like 19-20 at the time so her body is not as TICC as described later with all the muscles in her torso
Because as you guys may know after arduous hours of research MILFS are more TICC than young girls even if they keep themselves at peak thinness, which is part of the appeal so i assumed muscle=TICC
On the other hand the head of the armor looks kind of lame, i assumed it was going to be more sturdy looking and the shoulders do look the part bur not the head, assuming the eyes are at half of that visor it leaves plenty of thin armor around the head while going against a dude who can endure having a mountain being thrown at his head

I remember that Oldeus said that the armor was over two meters and if Cliff was still alive they could have done it smaller but they ended up making it even bigger so i still have hope for a more sturdy looking one
Thinking a little more is not really that thin but the protruding head makes it look frail, i mean, THE NECK IS THICKER THAN THE HEAD, in comparison this other helmet is closer to the body and almost the same thickness as the neck so it looks more sturdy and this is what i was expecting

Where was that "stated"? Was there an interview done with the author saying this?
I mean, in this timeline, he has Orsted (not that great of a teacher, but still boosted his rank to Emperor in less than 2 years also have given him many advises which proved to be helpful), Eris (whom he spends his time training with a lot), Roxy, Cliff, and Zanoba (the three are all shown to be very competent at making innovations in the armor).
Sure, he's spending his time with his family so that might take away his training time, but it's not like he neglects his training either as that could result in him ending up dead in one of his mission if he's too careless. We all know that's not a result he wants.
As for the reason why he never went full God-Rank, I'd wager that he never really had the use of it. Remember that God-rank magics require magic circles to work. A very useful magic in a scale of war, but he rarely participates in it and, as we've seen, Saint-Rank is more than enough to turn the tides. He's also got Absolute Zero if it isn't. On the other hand, his (competent) opponents are almost always swordsmen who could behead him before he's able to lay out the magic circles, so I don't see the point there.

Really? I found it very cool because the head part is actually based off of an actual helmet, specifically Gothic helmet. Hey, I'm pretty much a weapon and armor geek, so I guess I have different tastes from everyone else here but I assure you that that helmet is pretty good.

His earth magic is very powerful since he can make it as dense as he wants to. Remember he can control magic to the molecular (or was it atomic?) level as shown in V1. Considering the fact that producing the earth was his role while making the armor, I'd wager it's several times more powerful than the ones found in his world except FGA.
The magic ranks are meaningless because when it comes to magic the rank is mostly a measure of size while the most powerful magics are based on their nature
When Oldeus arrived he said he could use Fighting Spirit, flight, gravity magic, sound magic and of course, time magic, but when Rudeus died he could barely use gravity magic and none of the others so yeah, his potential was never fulfilled

I read some spoilers earlier on in the thread and I wanted to ask this: what Volume did the LN end on (if it's already ended), and are there any plans to translate the remaining side-stories? Also, if B-T doesn't have the whole series translated yet, will the translation ever continue, or do I have to look elsewhere for the rest of it?
I know up to the part where Rudy has his fight with the Dragon God which he loses. He comes under his service then? And then Eris becomes his third wife? Has that part been translated and put up on B-T?

Rudeus explains her the situation and then ask her she doesnt beat him too hard for "cheating" on her, Eris is fine with the other wives because she was mostly attached to her grandfather and he was nailing the maids all the time and she was even taught that "is not cheating if the husband does it with a slave"
In fact she gets a little unconfident because the other two wives are flat chested and smart which is the opposite of her but rapidly gets over it because she is the only one that can fight at Rudeus' side
Above all Eris was calm because Rudeus was going to fight the Dragon God and she was training for that (even if at the moment that was another misunderstanding) so she could simply let the matter of the wives in second place, in that regard Hitogami's threat helped them to smooth their relationship

It was only after she showed up again, and she was insecure because both of Rudi's wives at the time were small chested, so she thought that was his preference. She knew he loved his wives and thought that that was a reason.

Just to clear up the misunderstanding that could be get from reading just this,
his first power armor gets him to the level of 7 Great Powers. The mana consumption is so high that it's basically junk for everyone else but him. That's why he developed the saint-ranked version.

He gave up swordmanship but actually Emperor rank［2nd higest rank, just below god rank］in wind, water, earth and, fire.
Even sword god have hard time when trying to bisect MK-2.
Rudeus just don't have talent in swordmanship, and he know that even before training saint dragon Fighting spirit［which he failed］, that's just how OP Orsted is, even when not going all out. He's even more ridiculously strong after going all out, but kinda like ultraman

Rudus is a family man, he training are for health reason not to get stronger.
He has no motivation to get stronger unless it is to protect his family and since he has orsted for that he is fine with his current stage of strength.
MT is not a shounan powerup novel. It is about a man who discover what is really important (family) and gets a 2nd chance. Choosing between spending time with his family and going off to training to become stronger. he will choose spending time with his family 10 out of 10.

If that happens there should be another reason with more weight than meeting an old acquaintance

With his armor he is stronger than the North God, Rudeus never fights the other lower World Powers so we dont get to see how he fares but is very likely that he can defeat at least the Sword God, the Death God seems like a dude full of tricks but im sure Rudeus can easily destroy him... in a cooking contest, and maybe in a one on one fight
Fighting Spirit also increases the reaction time and from king level and onwards the difference in speed becomes too great to catch up in close combat, there are no hand to hand schools so there is no one to learn from, also in hand to hand every enemy would have fighting spirit and the MC would have the strength of a regular human, it is all disadvantages
He used gravity magic as a reaction because the North God had a gravity sword and Rudeus just copied the feel of the magic he got attacked with, but later was unable to reproduce it without the heat of the moment and without gravity magic as a reference because the sword was used for a magic formation and was not available
Cliff indeed misunderstood Elinalize but later learns about her lust and they work fine and are always love-dovey, he is just being drained all the time and with eye bags that reach his belly button but Elinalize can hold herself if she has to

I would say the most disappointing thing about those deleted chaps was Rudeus' reaction to the entire thing. It was out of character for him to react like that considering he was from modern Earth and an otaku to boot. TBH, I wanted Aisha to end up with Alex as it would have been funny seeing both of them who aren't interested in a relationship coming to know each other.

Eris is already considered as "dead" by Sauros butler［by her own wish］in volume 6, so she also cut her ties with Boreas.

I've read up to the part where Nanahoshi's multi-layered magic circle is successful in summoning a PET bottle. Though I don't understand from just the term "PET" what that actually is.

It's just a type of plastic. In this case it should be referring to those clear disposable bottles drinks come in.
I think even for him the pathetic behavior he showed at that moment went beyond what is usually expected of him especially considering all his knowledge and his past life 'sin'.
To be fair, as Rudy explained the incident brought up his brother kicking his ass after finding his fap material, and it was just as his bro was trying to give him a heart to heart after their parents' funeral. Not saying this excuses Rudy's reaction, but his brain shut down for awhile and was working on autopilot.
And whose to say that after a night's sleep, Rudy wouldn't have cooled his head and given Norn a proper explanation for seperating the two, but unfortunately Norn and Co already flew off.

Since those are deleted chapters, should they be considered canon? And is there anything after those chapters' events in the main story that wouldn't make sense or fit without those chapters?

Rudeus said before that even though right now she's too young to understand, if they explain everything to her when she's old enough, she'll understand and forgive him. But I'm worried about this. Her hatred resolved in volume 11, she even have her own idol FC founded and lead by Rudeus, he become their leader only for one day before the members rebelled against him and kicked him out of the fans club though.

By the way, Sparhawk just told me via PM that the LN is completely different from the WN from Volume 7 onwards (he's reading the Japanese version of the LN). Now I want to ask for the LN to be translated completely, but I don't know if anyone would want to do it.
