Hachiman attracts fans from multiple groups. The loser otakus who want a self-insert character, and the cool, wise loner who get things done is easy for them to self-insert, especially with many girls pinning for him. The people who like character development will enjoy how Hachiman developed over the story. The guys that don't want the generic bland MCs will enjoy the freshness of his character.

Still scratching my head as to how Index could rank so high. Maybe it was NT13? Who knows? I just can't believe that it beat out Danmachi and Mahouka. And that God Tatsuya couldn't beat Accelerator who didn't even appear this year.

Such stubborn readers the Index fanbase are. Or maybe Mahouka readers just don't vote for it? I noticed its comparatively weak performance last year as well.

The white queen is 12th? That's something I didn't expect.

I think its even more surprising that these two facts have occurred at the same time and that the White Queen got more votes than Danmachi characters.

Not the best mecha-genre LN. Especially if you have read FMP….
Though it is enjoyable. Has Real Robot, Super Robot, and Kaiju etc. But placing 4th is…
Though MF sure did push this series during its advertisement.

12 – Boku wa Tomodachi ga sukunai
Never thought it would place this high after that ending

26 – Ryuuou no Oshigito
The power of JS + shougi….scary. I wasn’t too into this series. JS is too young…

31 – Rokudenashi no Majutsu Koushi to Akashi Records
I could never get into this. Bought the first volume but gave up halfway.

39 – Haken no Kouhi Altina
Yepi. Stay strong Alti.

42 – Sekai no Owari no Encore
Super happy. I thought it would place higher. Higher than Eirun. My favourite ongoing LN at this moment.

43 – Sky World
The recently completed series. I sure did want to see this turned into anime. Too late though.

45 – Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
Happy to see it make it in the ranking for its final participation. Quite sad to see it going away after this ranking….

50 – Chuukou demo Koi ga shitai
One of my favourite new series of 2015. Eroge-player MC. He sure has the ball to bring eroge to school….

56 – Youkoso Jitsuryoku shijoushugi no Kyoushitsu he
Another of my favourite new series of 2015. The Kinugasa-Tomose duo are force to be reckoned with!

I know who 8Man is. I just didn't think that he is popular enough to top Mikochin, though I really didn't usually look at the popularity both for boys and girls together but it just comes as a shock to me.

I suppose so. But I expected the Danmachi group as a whole to be a couple of places higher than what they got. I guess that the White Queen is just that big of an anomaly considering Mitou Shoukan didn't even rank.

I could... but I'll pass. I'll boast when they actually deserve it.

Though if I had one comment to make: technically Misaka did get some character development this year. The in-story realization that she is actually a burden to Kamijou.

I noticed that last year as well. I guess the character rankings for Tatsuya and Miyuki are just fine barring the Accelerator anomaly. But its just strange that a series that currently sells about twice as much copies per new volume as Index does performs worse than it. Even weirder in a year with multiple well received novels.

Well if it has to be anyone, HachiMAN is the most deserving. Though I remember last year that Kamijou also got ahead of her (which he kinda deserved to as well).

Oregairu dominating as always. Nice to see Iroha do well.
