Lacus Clyne Has Dominated Annual Female Character Ranking Polls of Newtype, Animage, and Animedia Animation Magazines in Japan the Last Several Years

Although actually not my favorite Tanaka Rie anime character (among others, I prefer her Suigintou from Rozen Maiden, etc.), Lacus Clyne from Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED DESTINY has won the annual female character ranking poll in four of the last five Animage Grand Prixes (#1 in the 25th, #2 in the 26th, #1 in the 27th, #1 in the 28th), and now #1 in the 29th.

Lacus Clyne has also won the annual favorite female character poll in Newtype Japan the last four years in a row (#1 in 2003, #1 in 2004, #1 in 2005, and #1 in 2006 {Chii/Chi, another Tanaka Rie character, from Chobits was #1 in 2002}).

And Lacus Clyne has won the annual favorite female character poll in three of the last four Animedia Bests (#1 in the Best 23, #2 in the Best 24, #1 in the Best 25, #1 in the Best 26.).

Results of the Animedia Best 26 will be published in the 26th anniversary (July 2007) issue of Animedia.
