While we're nit-picking, any Russian speakers care to chime-in on the "vodka is water" matter?
Whether true or not, I'm itching for an opportunity to use it in real life. Rin is an impressive character and I adore Mamiko. But Mimi is my hero. I hope they soon get to expanding her character. <sarcasm>And Kugumiya Rie can act without resorting to loli-moe pandering. Who knew? Someone should inform the writers of ZnT & Shana</sarcasm> |

the term Vodka is water in russia, stems from the fact that Russians drink it like water, hense is a term used to kind of poke at the russians for drinking so much.
in the not to distant past and probly to some extent now all matters of business were attended to while drinking Vodka(for the most part)

Especially good vodka goes, when during the cold winter you put in a stall some polar bear, take off a fur cap ushanka (with red star, of course) and play bayan or balalaika. Then less than liter on person - consider, haven't drink absolutely. I hope, you know, that similar stereotypes exist about many nations. For example, about Americans - they believe everything, like children... |

Return of the Sadist?
Episode 3 of Mnemosyne -Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi- is set in the year 2011.
Because the episode appears to involve a victim of body piercing, a number of Japanese fans think that the evil mad scientist Yamanobe Sayara from episode 1 will return in some way, shape or form.

yay for time jump!
in ep2 we laughed at the 128MB ram and 300MB hard drive. in ep3 we will envy at 32GB ram and 250GB solid State Hard Drives and 4TB Holographic Versatile Disc/30GB Holographic Cards output to a 22" OLED monitor that's only 0.3mm thick. oh the nerve!!

It'd be a shame to rule put Tanaka Rie's character so quickly after that amazing performance. I'm looking forward to the possibility of seeing Sayara return. |

The lyrics for ALSATIA and CAUSE DISARRAY were released =)
http://img507.imageshack.us/my.php?image=03hm5.jpg ALSATIA (Official Lyrics) http://img507.imageshack.us/my.php?image=04ih9.jpg CAUSE DISARRAY (Official Lyrics) Honestly, those lyrics made me laugh. It's impossible to understand the song without the official lyrics. I did my own version for my fansub (it's not english, though), Shinsen-subs did its own and Ureshii did another version. None of the versions got even near of the official lyrics. My english is not good lalalalalala Should I quit english school? For the ending, everybody got near (at least the sung better). Japanese people singing english = fail Honestly, I laughed a lot when I saw the official lyrics My version for OP: Spoiler:
Shinsen's version for OP: Spoiler:
Doremi didn't did a karaoke for Opening/Ending And from Ureshii I don't have anything from them >.< bye~ |

Nice!
Raijenki some of those mistaken lyrics are hilarious. It's not surprising though, it's almost impossible to tell what they are singing without the correct lyrics. But I wouldn't fault the artist for struggling with the pronunciation. I'm sure the majority of music artists here would have similar issues if they had to sing in Japanese.

I don't think Ureshii atempted the OP did they?
I had a go at the Alsatia lyrics myself, and needless to say I failed miserably. Spoiler for my attempt:
I'm not really a fan of Alsatia anyway. I much prefer Cause Disarray. It's clearly more audible too, I managed to get the lyrics spot on with my limited tongue. Shinsen somehow managed to make a pigs ear of those though. |

The most "lol" thing is about the "It's Alsatia". It was the only thing I was 100% sure (but I, of course, had to search about what is it). About Cause Disarray, it's a looooooooooooot better, and my version got a lot similar with the original one. Quote:
