I have just seen a preview of some scans from Nyantype 6 and Megami 120. I so want the pic with Mio back-lifting (I don't know how you call that) Yoshika and a pic with Yoshika, Lynette and Sanya in the Kitchen with wearing some very lovely aprons.....I love Sanya in particular because almost every clothes she wear includes black colour........it seems Nyantype 6 is about to be released.......*gets excited about manga vol. 4*

btw anyone checked out the new logo on SW's official page? The new logo looks very smart, particularly with the star.....

Well I just finished watching my copy of Strike Witches DVD box set for the price I got it for it was a bargain but I was a little pissed at funimation they said it would be uncensored but the lying little bastards still showed the censored scene when it came to episode 7.

For the rest of the series you got to see all the bare boobies/tits as usual and bare ass.

But the scene I'm referring to is the bath scene when Perrine trips on the bar of soap and then Yoshika and Francesca stand up in the uncensored version you see their vagina's which was amazing when I first saw it, you never see that short of a actual hentai they never show that in a regular anime. Granted it wasn't a deal breaker I still love the series but don't go making claims that are not true.

So what you will see instead is the bar of soap twirling in the air blocking Perrine's neither region and Yoshika and Francesca have soap all over theirs.

They didn't edit it with computers or anything they just swapped the footage from the censored version in. I know I have the region 2 clips to compare it side by side.

*snip*
No. The version you're thinking of was a fan edited version. The Japanese DVD release had the soap.

The original Japanese version does have the bar of soap. Strike Witches is not hard core porn.....if that is what you want then you are climbing up the wrong tree there mate.

The new scans from megami or nyantype 6 at most featured bare asses (no pants at all), but for what you want to see, Strike Witches is not the one for you.

No I was not looking for porn.

I downloaded another version to be sure since you guys said it was a fan edited version. And I believed you, so after seeing another raw version I know that I was wrong.

Personally I don't care if it had the bar of soap or if it really didn't which I now know is false. I didn't get off to it but when I thought it was real I thought to myself how in the hell are they going to get around that part.

If what I thought was the real version and they edited it, then editing no matter what the content is or how small is wrong in my opinion. I'm a grown adult and don't need someone telling me this is what you should see if I'm a paying customer.

So I stand corrected, thanks for letting me know that I was in error.

Watch the trailer again.

Strike Witches US flavour puts heavy emphasis on the faux-WWII element and as such the military is more military like and hence why Minna sounds more authoritative. All the better for me since I prefer the WWII elements over the fanservice elements which annoy me. Anyway watched episode 5, what the hell is up with the 5 frame freeze when the girls get out of the water with water droplets spraying about and lens flare in the background? Felt ridiculous if you ask me.

But enough of my 50 cents is Perrine still Mio's loveable, closet stalk...I mean admirer? Speaking of closet stalkers, Fumida seems to have a thing for this to 'get shit pass radar'.

We've got...
Mio- Perrine, Minna and maybe Yoshika
Gertrud- Helma (Helmut: Why the hell am I Gerhard's bitch?)
Sanya now has Marisha who 'joined up just because of Sanya' (Who trained Lydia in real life. From teacher/students to this. Role reversal?)
Yoshika and Lynette I suppose (Although, she's more into just feeling up breasts...so yeah. But Yoshika will still marry Lynette in end to affirm Anglo-Japanese Treaty)
Perrine- Amelie

And how can we forget Suomus where the women greet each other like Spartan men.
Tomoko- Haruka and Giuseppina. And the thousands of other 'onee-sama' fangirls

Strike Witches Japan Flavour? Watching it and feels like fanservice overwhelms faux-ww2 for most part and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed for a base supposed to be last line of defense against enemy aliens.

Japanese GONZO Fan Confirms Minna's Insert Song Replacement on Region 1 DVDs

Rie Tanaka (田中理恵, Tanaka Rie) voices Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke (ミーナ・ディートリンデ・ヴィルケ) in Strike Witches (ストライクウィッチーズ) and Hikari Kujou (九条ひかり, Kujou Hikari) / Shiny Luminous (シャニールミナス) in Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart (ふたりはプリキュアMax Heart).

Rie Tanaka first sings the full Japanese version of the popular German World War II era song, "Lili Marleen" (『リリー・マルレーン』) - an insert song Minna sings in Episode 8 of Strike Witches - then she sings a Hikari Kujou / Shiny Luminous image song, "Sunset☆realise."

According to what I have heard, "Lili Marleen" is not on the original Japanese and the English dub tracks on the North American release by FUNimation of the Strike Witches Region 1 DVDs.

Some speculate it may be due to licensing issues. But as of the date and time that I uploaded this video, Rie Tanaka's insert song version of "Lili Marleen" is still heard on the streaming English subtitled version of Episode 8 of Strike Witches on the FUNimation website.

It is amusing to hear Tanaka Rie sing, one right after another, two very different image songs, in two very different voices, for two different characters she portrays in two different anime series.
Japanese anime otaku and self-confessed GONZO fan Teramiya writes that the insert song "Lili Marleen" sung by Minna Dietlinde Wilcke (Rie Tanaka) in Episode 8 has been replaced by "Negai no Tomoshibi" (『願いの灯』; "Light of Hope") on the North American Region 1 DVD release by FUNimation of the Strike Witches: Complete First Season due to licensing issues.

"Negai no Tomoshibi," sung by Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke (Tanaka Rie), is the 41st and final track on the Strike Witches: Anata to Dekiru Koto game album CD, just recently released by Columbia Music Entertainment on March 24, 2010 in Japan.

Funimation hates WW2 songs.

I really hate it when companies alter the plot/details of acg. I always have the impression that the products Canada and the USA has are inferior to those in Japan...

No, just culturally different. I believe that some of the ads for "Tropic Thunder" in Asia actually played more like a straight action movie, not the comedy it was supposed to be...

I'm trying to make a reading list to cover all the real life pilot of the 501st.

So far, looking at...
Erich Hartmann: The Life Story of the World's Highest Scoring Ace by Ursula Hartmann
Chuck Yeager: An Autobiography by Chuck Yeager

And might as well look at...
Stuka Pilot by Hans-Ulrich Rudel

Got any suggestions?

Interesting piece of trivia but apparently Erich was once in the same room with Hitler and had a gun when he received his Knight's Cross, nothing against him for a big case of 'DO IT!!' but suggestion for season 2. Erica personally shooting that paper hanging son of a bitch Hitler.

Lydia Litvyak!!

How can you forget?

Is it wrong if I want to turn necrophile for her?

Yeah, but do you know where I can find a biography about her life? Still looking for something on Gerhard and Wolf-Dietrich

I remember I went to one site detailing some of the WW2 trivial events about the real life pilots the characters are based on, but I don't quite remember the site now.........

now I think of it, the volcanic ash from Iceland is a bit like the Nueroi's Nest and there could be Nuerois hiding in them waiting to attack jumbo jets lol. That's why the officials in Europe are so worried about planes flying into them XD. Just a thought.
