Some of the anime was filler - maybe 20% - but the rest followed the manga pretty closely. Until, that is, the anime stopped with the story completely unresolved. If they picked it up there would be no need for any filler, since the mange is fully complete.
infact, if they are remaking it i would rather have them cut out a lot :heh:.. i did enjoy inuyasha a lot, but.. soooo long. i wouldnt be dissapointed if it was just an ova or a movie.

Yeah, it's pretty much official from the pic they posted and such. We're finally going to see the final chapters of Inuyasha get animated :) I'm actually happy about this because I used to enjoy watching this series, that is until we got that ambiguous ending and I was left with my jaw on the floor :heh:

Not technically new, but this would be new for Japan. Starting next month, TMS, TV Tokyo, and several other online outlets, will be uploading the remaining episodes of Sonic X after almost 5 years. The remaining episodes, 53 through 78, have not been broadcasted or released in Japan, for unknown reasons. There was some indication the episodes would have started in Summer 2005 (which would have concided with Kids Station Broadcast ending the first 52). This never happened.
The only legal release for awhile now with the Japanese audio had been in China, though these were hardsubtitled in Chinese with Mono Japanese audio. This was due to the VCD specs and the usage of the right channel of Chinese audio. They also used the International Masters, which had modifications done to the video.
These will go live starting August 6th on TMS's website. Additional information can be found in the press release here (http://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000000042.000000803.html).
It appears these will be rental only for the time being.
Look forward for Black Lagoon S3 and SnS S3 .

I think the producers of the vid simulated a hollywood movie trailer as a dramatic method to heighten the story which from what I think is very similar to a high budget horror thriller movie you see these days.
It probably has something to due with the last words, "World Wide Release" probably meaning it will have dubs from the beginning.

Wow - updates for Eva and Abenobashi first and now Mahoromatic? Can FLCL be far behind? Gainax is really reaching deep into the past for "new" ideas at this point.

arakawa-sensei mentioned in several interviews that FMA is in it's ending stages,yet she might needs a few chapters more to finish the story then planned(she orginally planned to end fma @chapter100).
so in worst case the might finish it up in OVA(or AOD if you prefer),but i think it unlikely.

But even so i still think its not possible for Gonzo to start another anime project based at their current situation now.Well its either the news of Gonzo's bankruptcy that comes first or company restoration which will likely allow them to go for a new anime project.
Zaregoto is a nice series...even if Gonzo decide to take it,i just hope they don't abandon the series halfway and give the production right to another studio.

And this is a sequel?! I so thought it was a remaking! Now I'm definitely revved up for this. :bow:
It is that planned sequel...the one they tried to make in 1994 but never could (for a lot of reasons...none the least was Kodai's voice actor dying around that same time).
It tooks 15 years...plus 11 from Final Yamato, but they finally did it.
(If I remember correctly thought, this was originally going to tie into Yamato 2520...but we'll see what they do this time around)

It's a bad analogy, but it's the Gundam of the bishoujo game industry -- there'll be a new edition in some form pretty much every year. :heh:

Anyway, I'm excited about Saraiya Goyou, it's a shame Manglobe has to do stuff like The Sacred Moe to stay afloat.
