Magica Wars will get an anime adaptation in spring 2014 and this week’s magazine leaks revealed a PlayStation Vita game is in the works too. Magica Wars for Vita will be available at the end of March. The game is a free to play fantasy action game developed by Galat.



Magica Wars has other video games too like Magica Wars Tactics (pictured below) and Magica Wars: Lock On! which was announced for iOS.

Most likely it will be a prequel, so I guess Yukimura will be a secondary character in it (well, he already gained this status in season 2, though). I guess if you want to have Yukimura at the main role, you will have to wait spring and watch Sengoku Musou OVA :D

But that's just it, SB4 is technically not a "prequel" but a reboot, so technically they should be able to give everyone the same amount of spotlight... but if the anime exists to promote the game then the spotlight will be given to Masamune, Mitsunari and the new characters, and Yukimura will be sidelined, and I couldn't bear to see that any more. :/

I'll definitely watch the Musou OVA :D but I'm not as fond of that Yukimura as I am of Basara's. :heh:

Aww, good luck to them. I may consider most of their (not animation-only) output mediocre to crap, but they were responsible for Gankutsuou, one of my favorite shows ever, and also Yukikaze and Red Garden, and for this I'll always have a fondness for them.

Not to mentiomn NHK n Youkouso and Last Exile (the first one) - plus, I quite liked Samurai Seven. I really think Gonzo of the 2000's is sadly underrated - not only did they produce some wonderful anime but they had a signature style, too.

Of course now they're a shadow of what they were, like Gainax dead men walking. But that doesn't stop me from rooting for them, even if I have very low expectations for any of their new series.

It kinda fits if AIC is going to animate it. One of their announcements last year was that they've designed a workflow system for five minute shorts (the selling point being their ability to prepare a 12 episode series for broadcast within three months. That is, a producer might request some kind of promotional anime in January, and it would air by April, eschewing the typical 18 month delay time). In their current state, I doubt they have much to do except to play with their own intellectual properties and produce five minute shorts.
