A “news leak” on 2ch has revealed that the Shounen Jump title Bakuman is getting an anime adaptation. Further details are unknown at this time. Though still a rumor at this time, the source has been reliably accurate in the past.

Bakuman is a meta-series about two friends who become rookie manga creators and get published in Shounen Jump, which is the very magazine that runs Bakuman. The creators of Bakuman are Ohba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi, known for their manga Death Note, which also ran in Shounen Jump.

No worries and thank you for pointing that out for me....when I saw the site...I pretty much had a WTF face on because had no idea what the hell it was showing......they look so different. >>

Darn.....I really thought anime in 2010 will just be over-the-top awesome but it definitely isn't looking like it. Just knowing that quite a few coming in Spring seem to be used material such as Winter Sonata and Teansformers or sequels like Ikkitousen, Kohime Musume, Ring ni Kakeru, Bakugan (its a card-game series for kids), Hetalia Movie, Big Windup! and Da Capo.

April 2010 looks like the line-up of October 2009 with many sequels and re-hashed material. Fall 2009 wasn't bad for me as I had watched most of the prequels but for others who hadn't were only able to watch a few or had to play catch-up with daily marathons.

The drop from 60 (there were this many animes that premiered in April 2009) to 25 is very significant.....ah well, I have high hopes for Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (good shoujo), Giant Killing, Senkou no Night Raid, Yojouhan, Mayoi Neko Overrun! (Stray Cats Overrun!), Rainbow, B Gata H Kei, Angel Beats!, Ichiban Ushiro No Daimaou and Arakawa Under the Bridge. Thats only 10 out of the 25.......the manga for Working!! wasn't that great but probably the anime will perhaps be less boring. As for the sequels....I will probably only watch Ikkitousen and Big Windup!........the Hetalia Axis Power movie will obviously get subbed like in Nov/Dec 2010, so no rush for that. ;)

They did have experience with a long series before - Kyou Kara Maou, Law of Ueki etc. And they also did Shounen Onmyouji which has a similar setting to Nurarihyon no Mago. So if we can overlook the mess they did with Umineko, it's still hopeful.

Ask the sponsors who order the shows -> it isn't their fault that everyone's knocking on their door. Deen has the capacity to handle several series, and I'd guess that they do it for cheap.

As for Starry Sky, Deen has a tight relationship with Frontier Works (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=1805), so it isn't so surprising that they'd get the project. The success of Hetalia helps too.

That's definitely is not the anime website (team e-co's site should be primarily maintaining music/sound CDs). So far, it has yet to have an anime official website. And we only get small sketches for the anime (unless Girl's Style or B's Log hold some preview) up until now.

Staffs and Seiyuus are already confirmed though-they use the game's seiyuu with Kuwashima Houko as the main lead (Yukimura Chizuru). Other than these and very little small sketches, nothing. No PV, not even a trace of screenshot. Anyone can make Hakuoki thread, but bear in mind that there is only so little info available. Story premise should be resembling the game, so... There?

After 5 frickin' year hoping at least one of Nitro+CHiRAL games get adapted, finally they did it. Big yes to the one that has actions, gore, drugs, b@stards, psychos, and such.

Here's hoping good staffs working for it and not toning down the blood and gore, OVA or TV series I don't really care as long as it's good :D If my memory suffice, the routes were short enough that I finished reading one in, 5-6 hours first time reading through. Some OVA episodes should suffice, though ANIPLEX+TV episodes mean proper budget!

ケロロ軍曹乙, or Keroro Gunso 乙(Otsu, although it looks like a Z) is the name, and it'll air at Sunday 26:05-26:35/ Monday 2:05/2:35, Tv Tokyo, while the Saturday morning series is getting reduced to 15 minutes, starting next week. So, there'll be this new late night anime with an extra 15 minute story every week to make up for the lost screen time of the standard show.

First new story is going to be called "夜のケロロ軍曹", or "Sergeant Keroro of the Night", breaking the naming convention used by the Keroro anime for episode titles.

It looks like Keroro Gunso is indeed being cut back to a 15 minute show on Saturday mornings, but they're airing the full 30-minute version in late-night. So the Sunday late night version will contain the Saturday morning part, plus a new segment. The other half of the Saturday morning half-hour will be taken by the new SD Gundam series.

Not sure why that hasn't been reported anywhere, but that seems to be what's going on.

The protagonist is a guy who is among the stupidest of the stupidest in the school. In this school, your grades can, under the supervision of teachers, take a virtual form to do combat! However, if you leave an examination half way, you get zero marks. A bright and cute girl, Mizuki Himeji, was having a high fever during the examination. Despite her potential to be the second highest scorer in the level, she obtained zero marks for having left due to her illness and is thus allocated to the worst class, class F.

Grades mean almost everything. For Class A, they have a smart-looking teacher, a plasma TV as big as the entire wall as their blackboard, personal laptops, personal air-cons, refrigerators, adjustable seats and all kinds of different appliances. Within the refrigerator, there are all kinds of drinks and snacks. Their ceiling is made of glass, the wall lets them put up high-class drawings and plants.

As for Class F, the worst class... They have Japanese desks and seat paddings. Their blackboard is dirty and there is no chalk even! Someone complains that the legs of his desk are broken, so the teacher asks, "Didn't we distribute some glue to stick wood together? Glue it back yourself later." Another one complains that wind is blowing in from the broken window. The teacher says, "I got it. I will apply for plastic bags and invisible glue to fix it later." There are spider webs everywhere, not a patch of the wall is clean. A unique moldy smell spreads across the entire room; it must be from the old tatamis used to tile the floor. This is the status of class F.

The protagonist feels displeased at such an arrangement, and seeks help from his friends to try to make a change through summoning war!! And they devise all kinds of plans to try to beat the famous class A, intending to get class A's classroom and equipment if they win!!

Just to update the above info; It was an April fools joke. (Wish them luck on getting the monies to produce the real thing.)
Firefighting anime action title Chinka - originally started off as an April Fools but as production of the PV progressed, the fictitious anime production company "Mirai Fusion" actually became an anime character advertising agency and we are now working with the real production company "Hibuse" to make Chinka into a fully fledged anime title - and yes Mirai-chan will be in it playing the character outlined on the official HP.
The previous April Fools projects "Mirai-chan Dakimakura cover" and "Mirai-chan Figma" have both become a reality and now Chinka will be made into a reality too ^o^
....

There are a load of obstacles to overcome before Chinka gets made into a full feature anime but what I always say is "No Obstacle, No life" - life would be boring without obstacles. Hibuse and I will be working on overcoming those obstacles and release Chinka as soon as we can and wish for your continued support.

The June issue of Shueisha's Ribon magazine has announced on Friday that an anime adaptation of Moe Yukimaru's Hiyokoi manga has been green-lit. The "Natsu Doki– Ribon–kko Party 5" event, which will run in Tokyo (July 30), Osaka (August 6), and Nagoya (August 19), will screen the anime. More details will be announced in the July issue of Ribon on June 3.

The school romantic comedy revolves around the unlikely couple of a shy 140-centimeter-tall (about 55-inch-tall) high school girl and a popular 190-centimeter-tall (75-inch-tall) high school boy.

The manga has been running in Ribon since 2009, and the first compiled book volume shipped in March.

According to Mainichi news, Fushimi Tsukasa's light novel Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai was announced to get an anime adaptation. The production company is Aniplex. The details of the anime will be announced in the sixth volume of the novel to be released on May 10th.

( http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=79331&page=25 ) We've been over it a bit, and apparently it says Toaru Railgun S2 is coming this Fall. And if that's what the pic says.....then it's most likely a troll-pic. Railgun just ended last month, while Index ended a few years ago, so they'd much more likely do Index S2 before Railgun S2. Even before that, though, they have Shana S3 which we do know is coming, and Shana S2 ended even longer ago, so that's more likely to come before Index or Railgun S2 even.
